I also am left-eye dominant. I appreciate the comment you made about why left-eye folks are more likely to have crooked images. I religiously use the in-camera level but harder to do with my 4 x 5. Thanks for the video and the information.

Thank you so much for sharing this information. I am a Lightroom user and even though I have learned these things you just discussed it’s refreshing to hear I am doing them correctly.

Hi Anthony, I really REALLY agree with your last item. I have become attuned to straight horizons and irks me silly when I am looking at nice photos that the water spills off to one side or the other or any other shot where the horizon is off. Such a simple fix. While we are at it, I am also amazed on how many people post photos that they took that they did no editing at all but are in desperate need of some. I don't know if they just believe you don't edit photos, they don't care or pure laziness. A tiny bit sometimes can take you from a good photo to a great one.

In Lightroom Classic, you can also use the leveller tool drawing a line on the horizon and the image is straightened

OOOPS. I’ve been caught out, getting too smart with the ease of a slider. I hang my head in shame Anthony, BUT,, I’m learning on a daily basis. Thank you for your guidance. (My money tree ripened today,, beautiful apple tree).. stay safe & well.

even without the green level if one uses the grid that most digital cameras have, that will help with the ability to get a horizontal/vertically correct image. After 33 years of film photography with no help one did tend to get better at seeing "straight" -- yeah, scared straight too.

Hi Anthony, I opine regarding "over saturation" of a magazine, surely a stand out colour is used to catch the eye of anyone perusing a magazine a store. I recall designing some props for a play. The props manager said that the designs were beautiful but too fine to be noticed from the back of the theatre. Based on them, he produced somewhat gaudy props in my then opinion; but when I viewed them from the back of the theatre, they looked right, and also from the front row, whereas mine could only be seen clearly from the front row.
I opine the magazine front would be similar to attract attention. Thanks for posting your interesting commentary.

What about when the landscape is on a slight grade/slope so that’s how it really looks but it still gives the impression that you failed to straighten the horizon? 🤷🏻‍♂️

there usually is an element in the image that will be the guide, such as a tree, a house, etc,
