    Polaris guy here. I must admit, that’s one of the sharpest looking sleds I’ve ever seen on the snow! Blue and white looks great!

    If I had the money it would be a toss up between the SRX and the Thundercat...I think they're the nicest looking sleds out there.

    I have the 2019 137" Thunder Cat Pretty much the same sled I did not have the same experience with the track as far as break out in the corners or hole shot but i'm a fat cat at 300lbs.
    So the average guy might have to stud up .If you're a big guy I recommend holding off awhile before doing so or you"ll feel like your driving a school bus thur trails.
    And the heated seat is nice on those cold days . Everything else said is accurate ..

    I noticed sleds are coming with storage lately... lots of reveiws have mentioned them... what I dont understand is why they are so small? the storage could easily be 2x the size, maybe even 3x? a bag and a gas can maybe? they give you real meager storag capacity compared to the actual space available

  • @ebsell
    @ebsell Před 5 lety

    Love the Sidewinder and Tcats but they have some serious chaincase issues. Sight glass falls out and lose the oil. Common problem that they ignore but would be an easy fix.

    Anybody run no studs on a sidewinder? I used to run a viper studded. just picked mine up put the 1.5 ripsaw so some extra traction. Going to try no studs usually just run decent groomed trails.

  • @mikeskidmore6754

    How does a 4 stroke fire 3 times every 360 degrees of crankshaft rotation .. You lost me on that one .. Many still love the SRX and Viper triple two strokes ..
    Skittles and fish Bait .. does that Storage compartment hold a hat gloves and hooded sweatshirt or not ?

      He's basically saying it's a triple(360 divided by three cylinders per revolution) and it sounds better than the previous suzuki 1100 twin engine.

    • @mxr7586
      @mxr7586 Před 4 lety +1

      Lucas Echenique ya I’d like to see them come out with a 2 stroke version. I still have a mint 1999 srx700 and it keeps up with the new ones and beat some as well. They made the best 2strokes and reliable.

    • @longboardguy
      @longboardguy Před 3 lety +1

      @@mxr7586 those olds srx and vipers are fast. A old viper triple mountain max or something gave my old 2009 mxz 800 Rotax a hard time and beat it until we got to top speed where I barely crept ahead (probally because it was a mountain geared) and I thought my old mxz was fast haha! I’d like to find a old triple srx short track just to have. And restore mabey. And ride once in a while. Cool machine to have!

    • @mxr7586
      @mxr7586 Před 3 lety

      @@longboardguy ya last year a friend I just met a couple of years ago got a mxz 800 and said he would whoop my srx700. He said it’s old and wouldn’t keep up I laughed at him. I told him my ski doo 600 sdi hangs with the mxz 800 for a bit and my Yamaha whoops on that. He thought I was crazy but he ate his words. Lol. I know Yamaha came out with a few 2strokes for 2021 but I’d like to see them bring out a 700 again or an 800. All the manufacturers made retro bikes or throwback bikes the past couple years and they sold out like crazy wish they do the same with some sleds with updates.

      @@mxr7586 haha I bet he did those old srx are no jokes. I was embarrassed for my mxz lol. Ya your right Polaris did the Indy and Ski-Doo has had a few, I wish Yamaha would do a modern 7/800 2 stroke in a trail chassis like the srx how cool would that be with the original blue colours!

    No offense to the older gentleman (fine job by the way) but why are the young aggressive guys on the other brands and the older guy always on the Yamaha? This is a bad ass sled and we just got a brochure walk around. No excitement at all. Just does not seem fair.

    You don’t need studs, I have over 25,000 miles on f7’s, 1000’s and turbos. Ride like a white man, you don’t have to spin the track riding wfo around every turn, unless you’re goofy in the head. You DO want to remove the coupler blocks so you actually have some weight transfer in this outdated crappy skid, which obviously you can’t point out but probably wanted to so I just did it for ya. But you don’t need studs. STDs suck, they cost money, wear out as fast skegs and cause problems
