  • Landscape photography and hiking, what a combination! We hiked out to Cape Pillar on a 30km return trip. We camped at the cape for a beautiful view of the stars, and most importantly, had an amazing time capturing some images. What a highlight of our time in Tasmania, an overnight hike to an iconic location with amazing weather.

Killer shot of the cape there at 7:15... and some nice long lens shots too. Still don't think I'd be game to be jumping around on those cliff tops like you do though :)

Richard Lefroy thanks man.... I think my favourite is the long panorama at the end.... maybe coz it's the last image lol

Lovely images. This location reminded a lot of some island in Southern California. Loved the final image. You guys have a great set up. Really living the dream. Cheers to you both.

Diego McCartney thanks Diego. Secretly the last image is my favourite too. It's currently made it to the "print for the wall at home" whenever we stop roaming about!

Well done guys. Well put together.
I was too scared to get up on that final rock like you did to get that iconic shot of Tasman Island. There was a little bit of wind and I was by myself. So standing on a tiny rock with a 300m drop was one risk I wasn't ready take.
Look forward to the next one.

Sam Kruijver thanks sam! Glad you liked it mate. Yeah having two people there makes it much more reassuring hey. Such an awesome spot!
