I just finished watching the rehearsal performance which is pretty often because it's that moving, and I get a lump in my throat every time. U can feel the energy and all of the emotion radiating from her. I have to agree, it's one of the best live performances I've watched.
Nearly two years later this song still gives me goosebumps! She is everything I inspire to be. Her confidence and presence is amazing! Even if she's nervous she still perseveres and dominates!
This song (and the rest of The Greatest Showman soundtracks) was written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. They're definitely talented songwriters. Their songs are mostly (if not all) powerful. You should check out "You Will Be Found" from broadway Dear Evan Hansen. ☺️
Hugh talked about this and showed a pic of those two guys who wrote it on a red eye flight on their way to New York to present it to the executives.. Keala sang it for the first time in that meeting and that is why she ended up in the movie
