Keala's reaction is a complete "I. Am. HOME."
I started crying
Those 94 people who disliked must have just been crying too hard to see where they were clicking
The only logical explanation! I know I was. This was so incredibly moving.
i like your way of thinking!
they were disliking that it was over. only explanation other than yours!
Yesss❤❤❤
8:35 for those students to present the haka to Hugh and Keala; that is so powerful. You see how it affected Keala! I think one of her parents is Maori...I think. Either way, the haka is SUCH a powerful and moving thing. I hope to live a life such that someone chooses to offer a haka at my funeral.
Keala's Mom was Maori, so that is why she was so touched
Hugh is such an amazing and humble man. He did not outshine those amazing kids. Great job all around!
Princess Lisa Marie So true
He was the star- and he let "This is Me," follow him. That's the show stopper. And this version is that song in perfection.
He's fabulous so talented lovely man
Hi
@Sarah B--her mother is of Māori (Rangitāne, Ngāti Kahungunu) descent.
Hugh and Keala are such humble and genuine people who deserve to be honoured in the way they were at Auckland University
God Bless you both 🌟
what an honour for hugh and keala to be presented with the haka. and truly deserved, as they united many voices.
When Keala looked around to see all the kids that looked just like her, we were matching sob for sob😭😭😭
What, fat? Lol
@@joshbecker5479 How about talented, wonderful and beautiful
@Carol Connors, . Josh B missed the point of the song This Is Me, so he's not very bright. I won't belittle him, because I'm not mean
karen Peters Your so right those kids will never forget this experience. She is a superstar. When the girl in yellow smiled at her touched my heart. What a powerful performance
i cried throughout the video, being married to Samoan for 30 years I absolute feel the honor to see Keala represent her roots back in NZ.
How wonderful was that gift!? I knew he was, kind, humorous, playful, and funny; but I never realized just how talented he is. Ke’ala is a totally awesome human being. She is special and incredibly, incredibly talented and gorgeous. Stay safe!
For someone who's self-talk is too negative, This is Me and hakas pull me through. Seeing them both together is just what I needed today.
Omg Hugh Jackson is so humble and kind!! He is my favourite actor !!
Keala Settle is such an angel!! I love this!
So emotional she feel like she's home beautiful soul and beautiful peoples
Kiwis are very subtle when it comes to celebrities, most preferring to keep it low key. It’s a very humble nation generally hence the shock the nation has received. The Haka was designed to reflect the many polynesian nations involved, some accepted for females and others for males only. This was a very gentle version of the various islands involved and I must say beautifully done! Gosh I miss the country big time, Kia kaha guys, this too shall pass yet Jack and Keala are some wonderful people I would want on my door step singing at me! Bloody brilliance 🤙🤗
Well said, I missed living Christchurch Southern island, move to US in 1995 and always want go back. I learn everything from Maori way doing things, and hope soon I will going back to my home town again. Love to be kiwi.
@@DCIROCK23 very well said. me too I miss Auckland, have been in Canada since 07 and my hearts telling me it's time to go home.Kiwi's are forever.
We are "Naki" , the 'ohana descended from Nakiwahine, from Kahiki, Ali'i wife of Kawelo'aikanaka, Mo'i of Kaua'i in 1680. We now we trace104 generations back to La'amaikahiki, Kumuhonua and Creation. 2500 years. Mahalo cousins, I was looking for us----Naki'i Hawaiian Music and I found Keala and You at a time when we humbly recognize those powerful invisible bonds of eternal kinship which pull our wa'a through everything with which Creator challenges us. On this end of 'anuenue or the other we will kanikapila together one day. What a blessed life we live! Imua! Ke Akua pu.
That Haka always gives me the chills i love it
Gave me goosebumps when he said Kia ‘Ora & TALOFA cheehooo
what does it mean ?
@@sjanientjuh01 Kia Ora means hello in Maori the New Zealand natives, Talofa means hello in Samoan. The Maori and Samoans are Polynesian peoples related to the Hawaiians.
@@jdouat7536 thank you very much for the translation !!
For real!!! To here him greet everyone in Maori and Samoan and too cool!!! Especially being Samoan myself Talofa lava to all my Polynesian people!!! One Ocean One people!
After 18 months of listening to this music, it still gives me goosebumps. They are both outstanding!
Me at the beginning: I know they're gonna sing it together and I'm ready for it!
Hugh and the choir finally singing together: I WASN'T READY FOR IT
Kealla and the choir singing "this is me": I SAID I WASN'T READY FOR IT

Growing up as Polynesian,we didn't take much notice of the singing at church when we were younger,i would love to hear these kids adapt that style, those tones, the harmonies as well.

How odd...I didn't think this would make me cry, but it did. We are all fellow navigators. We may have different stories, but we are all on the same journey, and we are all one thing. We are human.
Totally amazing people
We are seeing Hugh in Dallas in June. I am SOOOOO hoping Keala is there. She is beyond amazing!
