  • 4-minute video demonstrating how to rotate the blade on the AFL-Fujikura CT-30 Precision Fiber Optic Cleaver. The blade should be rotated after about 1,000 fiber cleaves, or 500 splices (this equals about 40 12-fiber ribbon splices). A round toothpick is handy for helping to rotate the blade. Otherwise, the only other tool you need is a 1.5mm hex wrench, which is included with the cleaver.

    Very easy clear instructions. Thank you. If you are having troubles getting the blade cover off. Just check to make sure your button to push the blade back is not pressed.

    There's actually a little spot mark on the base next to the blade that you align the hole with when you rotate the blade. Then the screw tightens straight in every time when the hole & spot are aligned. Hope this helps.
