This video definitely helped me learn how to customize a template and I appreciate it! However, I did realize that when you use the template, since it comes with two shirts, you have to double the width to get the correct shirt size on your design space.
Unfortunately the template appears to be very wrong. As you can see, even though you typed in the size of the shirt to be 15 inches long, Cricut design space is showing the shirt as less than 5 inches. Also the decal is showing as approximately 2.5 inches across and 2.5 inches down. It is important to pay attention to the actual size of the decal as that is the size Cricut is going to make it. I don't know any child that wears a 4 inch shirt, not even a premature infant would wear a shirt that size. If you wanted the decal to cover a large portion of the actual shirt, it most definitely needs to be much larger than 2.5" x 2.5".
Barbra, Since I have no control over this video nor Cricut, I am unable to make any corrections. I have personally reached out to Cricut via their website and explained the problem to them regarding the shirt template. However, I have not received any response back. My only avenue to help anyone, is to point out the problem so that others don’t waste their vinyl making inappropriate sized decals. I have no way of knowing if anyone else has reached out to Cricut and voiced their concerns with their program, however hopefully if other customers would, perhaps they would take note and correct their program.
I know it’s been a while since this comment but it looks like (for some reason) the template is measured in cm while the decal is measured in inches. 15cm is gonna be around 5 inches and the starting 21cm would be around the 8 inches it’s started out measuring at. Just in case it helps anyone else.
@@FastandTasty365 I was just looking at the measurement too and was wondering how can 2.5 inches be correct and I realized she did not go on to cutting so we can see it's not correct. The template measurement is in cm. I learnt that by using the measurement on my mat.
Newbie here...Is it right that circuit only allows your transfer to be a certain size before the yellow or Ira fe triangle appears? I’m wondering how to make bigger images? I’ve seen people Split the images? Is that the o my way?
