Also did a k swap in an ef 4dr about 5 years ago and used the same vw rad! Good stuff man!!!
The radius of that bend on those brackets if too tight for that thickness of aluminum. You need to heat it or increase the radius of the bend. A good rule of thumb for aluminum is the bend radius should be 3x the thickness of the material. It’s not a problem for thin sheet aluminum, but that 1/8” material needs a 3/8 radius if it isn’t heated.

What go pro do you use? What is the issue? Battery draining.can be the more you just leave it sit on or turning it off n on. Wears the Battery down quicker. When I film with all my go pros I use it till clips are done. And usally three clips I turn mine off. Til,clips need done when filming the video I make sure I film the scene like plan it. This way go pro battery is good. Now if it just dies quick you battery can be old or done being over charged. Watch how you charge them as well.
