In late 2016, Diana Ankudinova passed the preliminary auditions for season 4 of the Russian The Voice Kids, but was eliminated during the blind auditions in 2017. Despite her elimination, her performance on the show gained her significant popularity and over a million views on CZcams.
Diana later participated in the talent competition show "You Are Super!" on the Russian NTV network, which is designed for disadvantaged children who have spent some significant part of their childhood without parental care. She won the 2018 season of the show and was invited back for the 2019 "superseason," which she won as well.
During the 2018 season of You Are Super!, Diana performed various songs, including "Tomorrow is a Lie" by Lara Fabian in the season finale. "Tomorrow is a Lie" is an English song composed by Igor Krutoy and Lara Fabian. Diana's performance of this song showcased her powerful and emotive voice, which helped her win the competition.
After winning the 2018 season of You Are Super!, Diana was promised an apartment in Moscow by one of the jury members, Igor Krutoy, so she could continue her musical studies. She received the keys to the new apartment on August 20, 2018, and has been living there since.

Revelation is one of my favorite Diana songs. Here she is trying to explain herself to us... She opens up a little bit... It's great! It will be a few years from now and we'll still be stunned to see her in all the power of her talent.
Her own composition, very autobiographical. And brilliant.
It is a love letter to her saviour Irina.

Смысла песни он не понимает - и пытается просто почувствовать то, что слышит и видит. Нам смысл понятен - и мы воспринимаем эту песню существенно иначе, чем он и другие иностранцы. Но если попробовать отвлечься от того, что перед нами артист, исполняющий хорошую поп-музыку с сильной индивидуальной окраской (пожалуй, выводящей эту песню за рамки поп-музыки) - и попытаться воспринимать это по-другому, - что об этом можно сказать? Можно сказать вот что: она не поёт песню, а воздействует на вас; вовлекает вас в создаваемое её голосом и её образом пространство; она как будто совершает над вами некий обряд. Можно вспомнить о "шаманах", "колдуньях", "ворожеях", "сиренах" и прочих персонажах в этом же роде - с которыми её нередко сравнивают. Чем занимается шаман, исполняя свои колдовские ритуалы? Он воздействует на свою публику и звуками, и своим образом, он вовлекает её в некий обряд, вызывая у людей несомненное изменение состояния - и эмоциональное, и психологическое. По сути, примерно тем же и занимается Диана Анкудинова если и не во всех, то во многих своих песнях; вы легко сможете сами их вспомнить. Звуки, которые она - и только она - способна воспроизводить, её лицо, её глаза, её жесты - безусловно на нас действуют, - независимо от смысла тех песен, что мы слушаем. Не во всех случаях, не каждый раз, - а только тогда, когда она поёт таким образом, как в песне "Откровение", - в своей природной эстетике, со всей своей энергией и эмоциями. Голос Дианы в этой песне...словно вы весной сидите у ручья, набирающего силу от тающих снегов. Чарующий звон капели. Завораживающий плеск ещё пока не сильного течения. Волшебство просыпающегося природы. Гармония. Естество мироздания каковым и должно быть. Ментальность вокала Дианы в данной песне сиречь аллилуйя, причастие, вдохновение. Я так это ощущаю.

Diana contrasts the image of a pure, bright soul of a naive child (in the first verse) with the mature soul of an adult person who has received a negative life experience (in the second verse).
Visually, this is emphasized by the image of a flying bird in the blue sunny sky in the first scene (braids, light suit, make-up in the form of white feathers, arms spread like wings). And the image of dark sea depths inhabitant - in the second part of the video(dark background, dark suit, make-up in the form of scales).
In the finale - a sad cry to the ukulele about the lost bright dreams. The final words in the song: "Dreaming is not harmful at all."
The girl is growing up.

How difficult is it to turn on the subtitles? Explain to me why it's so hard to just click and configure the subtitles? why so much arrogance? if it's not in your language you don't know and don't want to know!! And she spends the entire video complaining and crying that she doesn't understand what she's saying I don't know Russian or English but I turn on the subtitles, it makes me so angry, it's so arrogant and snobbish to want everything to be your language but if it's not yours language there is not the slightest effort to try to understand in other languages.
