    Water reflections in moving water is such a challenge. These are wonderful!

    Just attended a plein air festival in Door County, Wisconsin. This type of painting is so inspirational. I love how you quickly narrate your painting and evaluative process. You make accessible to a new painter like myself. Thank you.

    I love the use of green in the water contrasting with the blue to show the reflections of the sun and the colours that are hidden beneath the water

      It took me a while to even notice the sky reflected on the surface of the water. It's very subtle and the fact that the water is moving makes it more difficult to see. Adding the sky reflections gives the water depth and vitality!

    Your seascapes just get better every time. The colours in the water are beautiful and the waves look so natural which shows that painting instinctively really works.

    Beautiful - the reflected sky in the water, the clouds, the wet sand and the looseness. It has a lot of energy.

    Really love the composition with the rocks in front! I too had doubts about howthat would look, and avoided trying that, but now you have inspired me to give it a go. Beautiful painting, as always!

    • @chamberlainpaintings
      @chamberlainpaintings  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks! I've avoided putting objects, like rocks, in the front as well but it does help create depth and it doesn't seem to obstruct the eye from entering the composition. Give it a try!

    Ready with an abstract study of the Pacific
    Starts with general shapes, works to specific
    With a number 8 natural bristle brush
    Can convey energy or cover a lot when in a rush
    Sky reflections,distant rocks, horizon choice

    I love the way you painted sky reflections and the colors are so beautiful in this. You captured the majesty of the location. It looks like it would be almost overwhelming in person. The ocean is crashing and everything constantly changing, so much energy. Love it. Thanks for sharing! Peace and love..Suz What ☮️💛

    MICHAEL, 10:25 , palette, blueist hair mostly covers a face, some of it spills out the closely held blue blanket, that is a shield of sorts. Approaching from left, see the wolf entity, it's colored bile, spilled, and part has turned white-ish against the blanket shield. See to the right,(excalibur), your brush tip touched the blanket shield. See the red, as though from the HALT of mighty excalibur. Lastly , aee excalibur shadow, ""upon the blue shield, ets beyond, it restrains the red, thickly gathered at it's one end. Freeze frame exactly here and as stated, answers "the" question, so few, so few, ponder 🗺
