Many thanks for the very interesting videos. Please tell me how to fill in the title for an editorial photo on Istock?
Sorry, I don’t post editorial images, so not really sure, but here are istock guidelines about that: contributors.gettyimages.com/help/article/4947?article_id=4947
Great information 👏, can you suggest best mobile editing video app for stock fotages ?
Well, I edit all my footage on computer, in Davinci Resolve, but a good one and quite easy to use mobile app is CapCut, from what I heard. There are also others, but I am not familiar with those.
@@LukaAzman thank you so much🙏🙏
Very useful videos
Thank you :)
Hi Luka, is there a way to speed up the keywording and uploading steps? Ideally everything via one tool. The time it takes me to set keywords and upload images is absolutely not worth it to me. For example, I am willing to pay a commission if this process could be more automated. With this I can upload more pictures more regularly which returns more money with less time.
Yeah, I know, keywording is the most time consuming part, but it is very important. I am paying people to do it for me, so I can focus more on other things. And that is also one of the reasons I only upload to one site, instead of more, because each of them has its own keywording process.
If you are uploading to multiple sites, you can add keywords in lightroom, and it will save them to files when you export them, so you don't have to do it on each site.
There are also tools which upload images to multiple sites, but I am not familiar with them, because I don't use them.
I don't remember which video, I can't find it anymore, sorry for this, but I would like to ask anyhow: in that video you said that one pic was sold only 5 times and earned you 78€. How is it possible? It is more than 10€ per download, even with exclusivity seems to be too high. Could you please explain?
Well, there are different licensing models.
Somebody can buy your photo with extended licence, and you can get 100$ or even more for one sale. Or somebody can buy your photo on gettyimages, and you can get even more, becase photos are selling there for around 500$.
This revenue system is quite complicated, so I am getting from a few cents per photo to 100$ or even more.
Hi Luka! How much do you earn from Data licensing for each photo? Thank you!
Well, it depends, I earn from a few cents for a photo, up to 100$ and more for a sold licence
@@LukaAzman thank you!
Thank for your share. By the way, are you from Croatia? Your name Luka is same Luka Modric😅
Hey! I am from Slovenia, so the country next to Croatia :) But it is a common name in both countries!
@@LukaAzman OK. Thank! Greeting from Vietnam!
I’d say it is not passive at all. It takes a time to take photos, edit them, add metadata, and upload. The royalties are declining which is not likely to pay off in the long term. That’s not even counting feeding the AI beast. I still contribute, but not with an optimistic outlook 😂.
Yes, it is a lot of work, I agree! But I have a friend who hasn't uploaded for almost two years, and he is still getting around 1k per month, so that is passive income :) His best was around 2.5k a bit before he stopped uploading.
Thanks Luka. Luka is the stock photography dead because of AI? Should we give up or not....?
Greetenigs from Serbia.
Well, I don't think so. Of course, it will go down a bit in my opinion, but still I think a lot of customers want genuine, real images. Also, AI still can't create realistic videos, and I think it will need some time to create good videos. And if you are shooting custom content on iStock, I am sure there will still be clients for that!
Thanks for your answer and for sharing your knowledge and opinions with us.
Why u upload only on istock why not adobe shutterstock
Well, there are a few reasons. I made a video about that: czcams.com/video/lgrFrSEm6AQ/video.htmlsi=5EU_kozXpUXaPnvP
