    Im proud to say that 1 Parachute Bn and 1SA I Bn was the infantry in the main battlegroup 1 zero commanded by Rolad de vries It was the biggest SADF attack post WW2 and it was wild

    Gen, Thank you once again for this was a great talk, truly historical detailed eventful and with many we'll know members mentioned. Col Calest who I last saw at the Grand Hotel in Kinshasa. I know her from 4 Elect Wksp way back in 1982. I was part of the SA integration group that worked in Eastern Congo in 2005.
    Frans Botes, at Lt at 2 SAI Bn GP. In the late sixties. It warms my heart to say I agree, Tannie Pompie was a great star, while I served at 61 Meg under Gen Dippenaar and Hen DE Vries.
