Oh your stallion is beautiful!! That little guy who nibbles is like a two year old human toddler! He is hillarious and seems to follow you around! This is made before you got the big Clydesdale male who was underweight and after months at your home he looks beautiful!! Fun to have tour of your horses!
I wish Maine was closer to your state. It would be my pleasure to come visit your horses and homestead. The property is a paradise for horses. God has blesses you all tremendously. So excited to see how the future unfolds for you all!
That's a fine-looking herd, with a promising future under your capable and gentle tutelage. Maybe one day, I'll get down there, from Canada, to see your farm, and stable. Maybe even a trail ride, after a refresher from you. It's been 50 years since I sat in a saddle. Thanks for posting.
I love the way you handle horses . You show them love . Unfortunately verry few do . I'd bet you get better responce out of your horses then any other trainers around you . And i realy hope you go after that farm down in Texas where you rescued Oliver . Those people need to be shut down .
I like your homestead!! Very good for that many horses to roam together on your land!! Make them feel normal and be happy, and that will make them healthy overall
New subscriber and just catching up on your videos. What a great place you have and what a herd! Beautiful horses all look in great shape! Very interesting and insightful commentary on each one. What a wonderful life for your whole family. I wish you continued success and champion babies!
I have not owned a horse in years. No property or money lol. You can't really raise them on a half acre in a subdivision. Just wanted to say I've just discovered your channel and have enjoyed it so much. Watching you with your "children" and your human family is a pleasure. The love for what you do shows thru and is quite real and personable. I recently subscribed after seeing Oliver's video. Thanks, Susan NW Georgia
The Exmoor Pony is a lesser-known breed in the USA, known for its compact size and hardiness. A few years ago, a friend of mine in Utah crossed her Exmoor Pony stallion with an AQH mare, resulting in an exceptional taller trail horse. Similarly, an Exmoor Pony x Foxtrotter cross could produce a versatile, smooth-gaited horse with good endurance and a friendly temperament. This cross may offer a combination of the Exmoor's resilience and the Foxtrotter's comfortable gait, making it well-suited for trail riding and other activities. However, be prepared for variability in conformation and gait, and consider the potential for a smaller size. With careful management, this cross can be an excellent choice for those seeking a balanced and enduring trail horse.
I like how you explain everything about your animals. How you know all their personalities, the training you use, even the feed and medicine you use. It is so interesting.
I am new to your channel and was watching this to see what Bob looked like, so thank you for adding in the picture of him. What a beautiful boy! You have a very nice herd!
The word "souix" is actually an Ojibwa word which means "snake" or "enemy"----because the Ojibwa back in the day were not friendly with the Lakota folks. I learned that in my Ojibwa 101 class! 😉 Regardless of the names, your horses are very beautiful.
I❤this video!! It gives a great overview of your horses & breeding stock. Bob was my very favorite of your herd...just a truly beautiful stallion. I wondered, did you freeze/store any of Bob's sperm for future breedings? Gosh, it would be a shame to lose all that beauty & potential.
Thanks for showing all your horses to us & explaining everything so well. I love how.much you all love your horses & how much they love you. Your film clips are just a little bit of horse heaven for me. I always wanted to be involved with horses, but never got to. Now I'm too old!
Love that little boy horse of yours the little biter one. So cute. my little boy Ten Broch is a little mouthy for attention too. He has out grown the biting now because I taught him to smile instead. He's a very smart little boy 4 yrs old Mustang and cute as a button, he is Tom's little buddy. When I come out to the barn for feeding times he sees me and starts grinning away or if I have carrots or horsey treats, he is non stop grinning! You sure have some beautiful horses. The mini is a little torture sweet heart, soooooo cute ♥!
Thanks so much for showing us your band of horses. Was nice to get a little story on each of them. They all seem very happy and content. I really like your "little aligator". Bob is very handsome, can't wait to see him live on vid.
Omg so Amazed how you remember everything about each Horse ❤Do they all come in a night ? And are there any wild animals around there that would hurt them ? Love to you Guys ❤❤❤❤
I had a mare out of your dad’s stud Frosty’s Root Beer. I won reserve in the Trail Horse championship at Ava on Root Beer’s September, and placed in the amateur classes on her every time out. Your dad helped me take that mare farther than anyone ever thought we would. Loved that mare.
I absoutely love your channel!!! I think I was born loving horses, and rode a lot when I was a kid, but have not ridden in a long time. You and your family are living my dream, and I wish you every success, and all the good health and happiness life has to offer! I loved meeting all of your horses, especially the babies. It is easy to tell they love you as much as you love them, and if I ever had a horse, I would want you to train her. I am learning so much from you, and would love to attend one of your training sessions, but for the moment, I will just continue to enjoy your videos, and dream a little dream about what my own horse would have been like. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
So I’m a new subscriber, almost a week now and I’m back to binge watching again. Love ❤ Love your channel and your horses are Gorgeous! You can tell you really take care of them bc they Shine from the inside out!! I’m so happy I found your channel!! Absolutely Amazing!!
You have some beauties there JR..the Foxtrotters are a vintage breed, and unusual now. Like the Pasos... I am a little surprised that you would continue to breed a 22 yr old mare like senior Patty 😯 When do you retire your girls? Best wishes for her healthy foal...💛
thank you for the tour all your horses are beautiful and also your farm he nips but he is kind , lucky to have a friend who likes your company I would love a colt like him
We had a horse with a cut on its butt from another horse kick to her butt area and I wanted to save money for a vet to stitch it up ( would have cost around $300.) I applied some fresh aloe vera gel on the cut every day for 10 days and that cut is all healed up, cant tell there was ever a cut. cost was $2.50 for a fresh aloe vera leaf at the grocery store. Thats what i was thinking the same for Ozark
Young Master Nibbles needs a lesson too. Roll the top lip under and between his teeth. Now put pressure enough that he bits himself. Saying No firmly. I've never tried it on a horse, but you could give it a shot. Like a quick twitch. lol
You know what i find humorous. All the professionals that end up in youtube comment sections. Yall take good care of your animals, you love them too. Thats all i care about. Doesn't matter to me what words you use.
I never really knew much about horses but I really enjoyed watching your your channel here I've learnt so much and just a little bit of time that I started watching I love your show very good
No disrespect JR but how tall are you? I haven’t been watching for a long time so i haven’t heard but either the breed of horse is small or you’re very tall or a little of both. The channel is very interesting.
Looks like a fine group of horses😊. Do you have plenty of good, quality pasture for that many?? I've told you several times I know squat about these beautiful animals, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy them. You said that 1 of your horses passed away recently on this video. How do you deal with that. I hope you bury them respectfully somewhere on your property. I remember being at our county incererator facility and seeing a horse DUMPED like common trash. All I could think of was that poor animal was a pet(?) and the owner throws him/her away😢😢. It was really heartbreaking. He/she deserved a much better burial than that!!!! Let me know if I ask too many questions. It's my nature. Do you teach people like me to ride with absolutely NO experience at all??
You have some lovely horses, but don't you think Miracle is still a little too young and you to large to ride her? My QH don't get backed until at least three and they are big solid and well ground trained horses by then.
JR. Please don't slap the baby. I'm sure you don't want him to become head shy. There must be a better way to discourage him from his "love" bites. Thank you! ❤
Oh your stallion is beautiful!! That little guy who nibbles is like a two year old human toddler! He is hillarious and seems to follow you around! Adore all your films! Love how much you & your family love your horses & how much they love you!

❤ A lovely herd. They are very beautiful. It is changed somewhat now. I am sorry you lost Image. Hopefully they boy has stopped biting now lol.
Champ is the one that rode home in the car as a baby..❤
I love the way you handle horses . You show them love . Unfortunately verry few do . I'd bet you get better responce out of your horses then any other trainers around you . And i realy hope you go after that farm down in Texas where you rescued Oliver . Those people need to be shut down .

Just beautiful! Everything.
I am amazed, as always, by the beauty of the animals and the farm. I wish you great success.

Id love to get a video explaining Chablis head injury in more detail!
We could try to do that sometime. That was an AWFUL experience.
Enjoyed this video!
Man, you are so big you make all your horses look like ponies!

Lad’s Peppermint Patty -by Zane’s Charming Lad? Or out of that line? Good line.
Such a beautiful herd!
I love this video! Do you plan on doing this type of video every year? Cant wait to see the next one with the changes that have happened ❤
I’m sure we can do another one. Probably wait until later spring once everyone sheds off though.
The horses I mean, once their winter coats shed off lol
@@homesteadhorsemanship hi ❤❤❤❤❤I want your WhatsApp plz from India
Very interesting video. Thank you for all of this information about your horses.
Hello from British Columbia Canada

Thanks for the advice! We will
defiantly keep that in mind.
Ive always used Blu-kote.
I’m a newbie too. I’m sorry for your loss of Image and just wanted to ask what happened to him.
Beautiful!
Perhaps with Chablis having her baby filly now, this might calm her down a bit. Mother hood kinda takes some of the craziness out of you.
Young Master Nibbles needs a lesson too. Roll the top lip under and between his teeth. Now put pressure enough that he bits himself. Saying No firmly. I've never tried it on a horse, but you could give it a shot. Like a quick twitch. lol

You mean Image? We buried him. He has a grave down by our creek.
@@homesteadhorsemanship You mentioned you had just had a horse pass away the weekend of this video I thought. Thank you for burying your friend.
how tall are you? bc you can easy lay your arms over the back of the horses.
they are all very nice and handy.
Can’t you cart drive Daisy? Aren’t miniature horses great for that? Poor Daisy needs a job, too. ❤🐴
FYI a baby horse is OUT of a mare and BY a stallion. Not out of your stallion. Thanks for all you show on your videos they take extra effort.
Lol yes, we know. Just came out backwards is all.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What happened to Nugget? You didn't say anything about her in this video.
You have some lovely horses, but don't you think Miracle is still a little too young and you to large to ride her? My QH don't get backed until at least three and they are big solid and well ground trained horses by then.
My name is Patti......😅❤
What city in Missouri are you in? I have relatives in Odessa Missouri
What about the Clydesdale
We didn’t have him here. This was last year.
JR. Please don't slap the baby. I'm sure you don't want him to become head shy. There must be a better way to discourage him from his "love" bites. Thank you! ❤
Update?
Does each horse have a playlist?
Mostly just the horses we are training.
