See y'all next week!
Morgan reviewing cheap machines: nice, adequate, cute
Hoffmann reviews: this is why we have climate change
😭😭😭😭 this is hilarious
😂🤣😂🤣
Not only funny, but true. We should discourage such trash - "Espresso machine"?! What the ...?
LOLLLL🤣🤣🤣🤣
I mean he's not wrong
Morgan is just cheery and optimistic James Hoffmann from a parallel universe!
Nah - I just watched Morgan push a french press all the way down.... 😄
@@stevechampney3136 lol
Or a x2 speed version...
So true! But the joy we all get from watching him suffer from drinking channelly shots..
Its cos she s not British xd
I would love to see you test gradually more expensive ones and see when it’ll actually work great as an espresso machine for the cheapest amount of money! So basically just please continue testing for us 😂😍🤍 loved the video!
I'm guessing if the patreons were willing to kick down and help make that happen, Morgan would roll up her sleeves and get to work.
You need to show us cheap espresso machines that are actually usable :)
Very soon!
Can't wait. I'm bout to buy new one. just WAITING for Morgan to decide for me. 😍
@@morgandrinkscoffee ma'am this was posted 10 months ago ... I asked for an espresso machine for Christmas ... they asked what model or brand and I said I didnt care as long as it made real espresso and not just quick hot drip coffee... (halp!)
@@morgandrinkscoffee Did she ever make this video? This sounds amazing
Could we get a video like a recommended entry level grinder and espresso machine
YES pleaassseee 🙏🏼, Thank you so much
I did Amazon's cheapest burr grinder. I thought it actually wasn't that bad for pour over or drip machines.
Ooh interesting! I have yet to take a peek at their grinders!
@@morgandrinkscoffee pretty much all block burrs when you go cheap.
I got a handgrinder,
And let's just say I have very strong arms and forearms now.
Morgan you make me smile, make me laugh and I love your cat. What more can anyone want in these tough times.
Morgan is just so relaxing to listen to - I’d happily listen to her reviewing a pretty much anything from a dishrag to a £5000 coffee machine!
Imagine if it's not her presenting? Just doing voice-over?
i found if you put a tea bag cut into the shape of the protofilter then tamp your coffee on top then pull the shot it takes a bit longer to pull the shot but way better on the shot.
Not sure if you’re taking requests, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on the Mr. Coffee espresso machine.
Before i bought my Breville i had a Mr.Coffee and i made awesome latte art with it, like really awesome haha
I have the one with a milk reservoir instead of the wand, so I haven’t actually tried latte art with it.
next video: trying the highest rated espresso machines so you don't have to
👀👀👀
@@morgandrinkscoffee that would a RIP to your bank account
She manages to pull latte art with that machine and I struggle with my Breville Barista Express (which, btw, she's the reason I bought it)
Lol
@@gabrielahuallanca This. This. 1000x this. I kinda hate Morgan a bit for taking away any excuses I have for not being able to do it better. Just rocks up with any old machine and gets better results than me, no matter how many more coffee toys I buy. It's such a skill she has. :)
Morgan always sees the positive side of the (coffee) world whereas James Hoffman is like grass is never greener on the either side lol
Do such exist? :)
I went and bought a Breville Barista Express last month. I was sick of waiting in hella long lines for Starbucks during quarantine. I used to be a Sbux barista this past fall and it IS NOT sanitary. People got tired of cleaning that much and the masks are just cut up cotton t shirts. Do yourselves a favor and just buy a machines and save your money and your health!
You like the express one ?
it’s actually better to remove the plastic part on the steam wand, gives you more control
Morgan is the influencer we all need but don't deserve
Agree in every way, the best ever
Hi Morgan just a thing you should have taken out the plastic black part that was attached to the frothing wand to get a better vortex and you should have grinded the coffee more
An electric upside-down moka pot with “adequate” steam wand: useful description!
This is also a testament to how skilled you are as a barista…making a cafe quality looking drink from that machine!!! You’re amazing and love your videos!!
Good job young lady, I just received a cheap espresso machine and wanted to know what to expect. Your presentation answered all my questions, thank you.
Hi Morgan, this is mainly to make cuban coffee, you make the top crema out of whipping sugar with first spoon of brewed coffee and then combine after brewing is done
Nice Coffee!
but I need more cat(6:28) video
If you remove the plastic part on the steam wand, it can produce better milk texture and better control
I wonder what the plastic thing is for.
Hey Morgan, since the Hoff isn’t freaking doing it, how about you make an AeroPress guide? Show a few recipes, explain grind size, brew time and all that stuff. If you are well versed with AeroPresses of course. Would love to see you tackle that :)
Ha! I wish I was qualified to handle the topic but I’m not super well versed with the aeropress! It’s something I’d have to take time to understand and really dive into before making a video about :)
I know it's not a guide, but he touches on attempting to make some kind of espresso with the Areopress in this video; czcams.com/video/ZgIVfU0xBjA/video.html
Love your videos! You are the reason I’ve invested in my first espresso machine! Can you make a video about your top recommended coffee beans you can find at your local grocery store?
Thank you. I was looking for someone else with difficulty putting in the porta filter and was not disappointed
Honestly these are helping me decide what to buy...so loving this series
If youre having issues with things sliding around on the counter.. put a damp rag under it.. works great. I use this when dealin with cutting boards that are slick. I imagine itd work the same with this.. although Im no coffee expert! Lol. Im looking into esspresso machines as a way to extract shikimic acid (main ingredient in tamiflu.. usually extracted from star anise, but apparently its also in certain pine needles which are readily available for alot of us in the US) from pine needles. Essentially pine needle tea.. but there is a study out of australia that used esspresso machines as a household way to do it. Pretty interesting
Love this series. I would love to see videos coffee/espresso on the go/on the road. Making coffee without electricity. What's your view on the Aeropresso and the wacaco Nanopresso?
I just bought this machine under a different brand name (Selecline) but same model. Im actually happy u say its mocha, as i drink mocha now and was looking for something that makes similar coffee. Paid 25€ and if it makes a decent mocha, I'm cool. 😊 still saves me the having to light the stove etc procedure of traditional mocha pots and i think it even looks cute. Agreed its too lightweight but well, 25€ machine... heheeheh
In the cafe I work at we use that little spoon thing to press in the coffee grinds I love it so much, I think it’s so cute and old school
You know, this is a great review.. sure it's old but I'm just seeing it now. Very humble and down to earth about everything. At no point did you even come close to "shaming" someone for using a cheaper machine. Not the least bit snobby at all in any of your videos. Would I get one of these based on your review? No, probably not. If anything I'd spend that money on a milk steamer or save up for a better machine. Someday I'll get there, but until then, keep up the good work.
Exactly!.. I am a broke student and I love drinking latte so I bought the same machine as it was the only espresso machine that I can afford😢 But I do enjoy brewing espresso, although it might not look and taste like a traditional espresso (especially the crema), but I enjoy the process of using this machine...☺️ With that being said, I will purchase a nicer espresso machine when I have my own money... For now, a cheap "espresso machine" is enough for me❤

I would love for you to test the Mr. Coffee iced coffee machine. Heard lots of very mixed reviews on it and like you, I love my coffee sweet. And iced so, I'd love that. I do have a Nespresso and a Keurig but I'd love your thoughts on the mr coffee. I have been watching you for a week and I have really enjoyed you. 💖
6:34 “Where are you taking me hooman!?”
dangg i really appreciate you making these for us and giving us info 😁
Morgan, this format really suits your personality. It’s a great video and your voice over together with the video edit creates a unique balance. Love it.
8:34 you have to take off the plastic of the steam wand
@@nolantakle :0 really? I have an espresso machine with an identical steam wand and first I didn't take off the plastic, but one day I tried to steam without the protector and it was so much better
Why do you say it's not true? 👀 Maybe there's something I don't know
I believe that thing it's just a protector
P.S: I've used it for over a year with the protector and I can say it's a little difficult to clean in the inside
And think about it, isn't it strange putting plastic in hot milk(?
Finally! An honest thorough review! Thank you!
Hey Morgan, thanks so much for the review! I really enjoyed your video. I was wondering if you can do reviews on like supermarket brand Italian coffees? :) Like what you can recommend to use using french press, aeropress and what coffee is your favorite. Thanks :)
You know what. I imagine the coffee coming from these machines would be improved DRAMATICALLY if you used a perfectly fitting, stainless mesh or even just a paper filter on top of the bed of coffee grinds. Like the stainless filter for the Aeropress. Just to reduce the channeling from the pressure of the water dispensing into the grounds. I don't think I've seen ANY of those machines include such an accessory, though.
That sounds like a really clever idea, I wonder if anyone tried it
nice review, awaiting your second take on that first cheap machine.
Fantastic Video! My new Swan Retro coffee machine is arriving this week so I have looked at so many different channels and your videos are by far the most articulate and enjoyable. Thank you!
SO HELPFUL!!! I literally needed THIS VIDEO & the last one. Someone who knows more than me about espresso & their opinion. Ahhh!! Thank you!
Hello Morgan, I can ask your opinion - I have exactly this inexpensive version of a coffee maker at work..., the question is whether the quality of the coffee (drink) will improve if you use double coffee baskets (with a double bottom) and a reusable mesh filter in the basket to distribute the water throughout the coffee maker tablet for better wetting..?
I would appreciate your opinion. Is it possible to use such a coffee maker as a source of hot water for brewing filter coffee in the V60 directly or through the shower head and then into the funnel, do you have such experience..? Thank you
Dude, imagine James seeing that machine. He'd be like the only place this machine belongs is in the trash which is why the planet is dying 😂
I love your slide into the frame.
Congrats on 250K. ILYSM and your videos are soo fun and great!! 🥰🥰
I love your content! Also... Where’d you get those cups?! 😍
IKEA actually! They’re a part of their coffee drink ware collection I believe
@@morgandrinkscoffee thank you!!!
This seems quite similar to the Salter machine I used before I got my Sage Bambino....it did it's job....not brilliantly...but was an okay stopgap before I got the Sage.
Two tumbs up, one is for the drop dead gorgeous cat
what happens if you use finer grind and press it hard in the portafilter? I have a similar machine which works a little better.
Always a pleasure to see your videos show up on my feed!!
I bought this machine (now Sowtech) and THEN saw your review. Thank you for your tips and great video, even though it was 2 years ago, it still holds up. I do not regret my purchase.
Can moka pot brew an espresso or its more like drip coffee..?
Appreciate ur work..
Hello! The moka pot does give you a bit of crema but it dissipates quickly. The consistency of it is like an espresso-drip coffee hybrid, I believe. Definitely more concentrated than drip, as well.
I bought this on a whim! How long do I froth unsweetened almond milk without scorching. I’m so new!
I think I had one similar to those, brand: oster. I used to "preheat" it for 2 minutes or so an just then place the portafilter and all the stuff, managed to pull shots at about 25-30 seconds and a nice puck. Now I upgraded to a GCP (3rd world, gaggia classic just came last year here), and I felt like a pro first time using it, going from there "glorified moka pot" to an actual espresso machine was amazing even I thought I was getting something decent with the previous setup.
In a way they say 9 bars for a traditional espresso. Yes. But three quarters households only have bialetti.pot
Hi! Can you do a review for coffee pod machines (nespresso, dolce gusto, hibrew, b coffee, noon, etc!) Thank you
If you love Espresso or Cappuccino you should test a Lelit-Machine.
They are beautful with metal rocker switches and affordable.. but above all, make excellent coffee
I'm addicted to your personality and topics
I see your Silvia is right under cabinet. How do you filling the tank? Always pull it out and the push it back?
Pro-tip: When your apron strings are long enough to tie at the front, then do so before you put the bib over your head. Then the strings are kept clean and away from snags.
Oh, the gadget - nah, Aeropress any day! 🙂
I really appreciate you making this type of videos!! I love em ❤️🙌 btw your cats are cuteee😍
Thank you for doing these type of videos, much appreciated ♥️. Are you going to do videos on milk frothers?
I appreciate you trying out the 2 cheapest espresso machine in Amazon. Would you also try Breville Stilosa which is the most affordable espresso machine for a name brand.
I think a cheap-ish machine that’s actually worth it is the delonghi 3420! It’s like 130$ at Target and I had a really good experience with it before I upgraded to the Bambino (after your review!!) It’s not cafe grade or anything but the shots and steam wand are actually pretty decent and it comes with a tamp woo!
Are there machines that just do the steam? And I don’t mean the one I use on my curtains, just that nozzle. I like my mokapot.
I don't know if you can get them in the states, but I got a Beko CEP5152B "espresso" machine that came with a portafilter, a tamp, and a legit (looking) steam wand for around £60
it wasn't the greatest, but it was a cheap way to have "espresso" for the year that I used it
I have almost ecxactly the same machine, but from another manufacturer, and I bought it 8yrs ago, but I recognise it because almost every part of the machine is the same as mine. Carafe, tamper/scoop, lid and on/off switch.
Have you review Black+Decker 4 Cup espresso machine? If not will be looking forward for it.
Since you are still in this mood I suggest you review that oddest moka pot ever that also somewhat automatically somewhat steams milk making something like maybe cappuccino. The one and only Bialetti Mukka Express. It is probably expensive for what it is and definitely is finicky but it looks fun and appearancewise is gorgeous. I can't wait to hear you opinion on this thing. I like how this particular review is friendly, balanced, and competent. So please keep going.
I’ve just bought this machine and got the same consistency of non-espresso. But you can read on the instructions that you shouldn’t use fine grounds, and that’s how I’ve been doing it (seems to be that you also did). I’ll try medium ground tomorrow and hopefully I get a creamier espresso
I have a braun small espresso maker its alright leaks like a 1920 steam boat. Make a kick ass cup tho .
I got one, and I think the hot water came down lil too quick, i felt like it havent extract most the coffee. If it came down lil slower, would be perfect.
This seems to be making very old fashioned "espresso". Before 1948, espresso machines used steam pressure, and based on poster artwork and the grainy black & white photos of the era, the drinks were larger than modern espresso and had no crema, like a small filter coffee. This machine looks to be bringing that style of coffee making into the modern era, but the Aeropress does similar and is a similar price, but a way nicer build.
50 years from now: “Direct from the United Stated of Amazonia, I tested Amazon’s SIX-HUNDRED-FORTY-SEVENTH cheapest espresso machine so you don’t have to. It only cost me 459 Bitcoin.”
Apron tied in the front. Professional. Respect.
Maybe next time it'll be interesting to get an espresso machine that in the reviews people say is a great espresso machine and see if they're right. Like the best-reviewed espresso machine or something.
Of course since I moved and bought this house a year ago I do not know where my moka pot is! I don't know where any thing is that I need or want and I have been purchasing things I can't find which are going to turn up and I'll need to give the old ones to my caregiver and old I mean by 12 months old! I would like to make a great cup of coffee at home but I don't want the perfect cup at home because that gives me no place to go when I want my favorite cafe coffee! I could probably make my favorite cafe coffee at home but that defeats my purpose of wanting to go out occasionally for coffee for my favorite coffee! :-)
Came for the great content, stayed for the kitty cameos.
4:33 nya, and
6:30 nya part 2
Can you do a review on the staff kettle. That would be awesome!!
I am blown away by the beauty of your face. You have a face that can act Disney Princess!
Wait what if you put in more water and have the filter off and preheat the maker and then put the coffee filter in there so that it extracts the coffee faster?
Hey im from Argentina, and i just wanted to get better coffee, and since im not earning much money i decided to buy a machine that i could afford, its a tedge machine, tho its better known as an AICOOK 3.5BAR "EXPRESS". Of course i know it cant pull an espresso with that pressure and its better off using with a medium grind. The coffee isnt bad, tho its not an espresso, i would call it a half presso? semi presso? thought you could find the machine and maybe give it a review! maybe you teach us how to make better coffee with it too! oh, and it has a steamer!
love the channel, and i feel like the editing is on point, from a video editor standpoint. the quality of your content is awesome! Thank you!
Try to preheat the machine first, then brew and grind a little finer, you'll get better results
please review the updated (?) imusa and the amazon basics one! :D
Omg I’m so early I love you and your videos!!!
Hello! And thank you!
Hey, I just started discovering your videos, they’re so good, well written, love it.
It is an interesting thing what can we call "classic" espresso. The original patent from 1884 used steam. And for a half a century, espresso brewed by steam, not by hot water. The first espresso machine that used water instead of steam (Illetta) patented in 1933. So, which is the classic from the two, and can we discredit a contraption as espresso machine just because it uses steam, not water?
oh I have this brand single serve coffee maker. it works fine . Thanks for sharing about their espresso machine .
Morgan I'm curious what you think of this espresso machine from California, "Lafeeca Espresso Machine" 19 Bar Fast Heating Cappuccino Coffee Maker with Milk Frother Steam Wand. I purchased it from Amazon $159.99 Its my first espresso machine and at the time I had no idea makes a good espresso machine. Im learning from videos such as yours what a good machines should be, but Im wondering if this first purchase meets to your standards to make good espresso.
Morgan, I’m from Miami. Coffee enthusiast. And I just wanted to say. Love you. Like you’ve made my day and I can’t stop watching your videos. If you ever come to Miami we gotta get some Panther coffee together and talk coffee!
try the AmazonBasics one!!
Got 1 in Asia $25 different name plus a Delonghi alicia plus and the coffee from both good, I don't tamp it down, worried about it blowing up lol.
In indian Amazon, we have a 4690Rs. Espresso machine. (About 60USD)
it's from a reputed brand, Morphy Richards.
I'd like to know how real of an espresso machine it is...
And it says it brews at 4Bar.
Any chances of you trying out the mr coffee espresso machine?? Love your videos!
I am not sure if you have done so, would you mind making a tutorial video on how to steam milk on a single steam outlet cheap espresso machine? It’s sooo difficult for me but I don’t want to spend a lot of money for a new machine yet..
Thanks for the video. How did the first brew not make a crema, but the second brew did?
Closest I've come to a steamed milk solution (without a full espresso maching) is the "Bellman CX-25S Stovetop Steamer" - things like these here could be a good option at less than half the price. Wands or the French press just don't do it for me.
