The 2022 FTX Crypto Cup sees Magnus Carlsen, Alireza Firouzja, Levon Aronian, Anish Giri, Jan-Krzysztof Duda, Liem Le, Hans Niemann and Praggnanandhaa gather in the Eden Roc Miami Beach Hotel in Miami, Florida for the 2nd Major on the $1.6 million Meltwater Champions Chess Tour. $210,000 and a $100,000 Bitcoin bonus is at stake in the 7-round all-play-all tournament. Each match consists of 4 rapid games on the chess24 Playzone, with the winner earning $7,500 (3 points). If the match is tied there's a blitz tiebreak, with 2 blitz games followed, if needed, by a single Armageddon game. The winner earns $5,000 (2 points) and the loser $2,500 (1).
For each rapid game the players have 15 minutes for all their moves, with a 10-second increment after each move. For blitz games it's 5 minutes and a 3-second increment, while for the Armageddon game White has 5 minutes to Black's 4, but a draw counts as a win for Black. No draw offers are allowed before move 40. Official website: chess24.com/tour

Personally i prefer the ol' finish an agad video, opening my chess app, and getting stomped in rapid.
🙌 😂 you're not alone. I watch all the old uploads since I subscribed to this channel only last year or so.. The guy is a legend 🙌
@@lukesimmons2409 same, I watch agadmator and then I play and say "I don't believe you" when my opponent attacks, proceeding to find out I really should have believed him. Or every time I play the danish I say "are you perhaps interested in some pawns?".
It doesn't get any better than that.
Yeah, definitely saw the mate on g7. Didn't miss that at all
Haha, yeah me too, trust me

A wild and beautiful tactical game involving queen sacrifice and an awesome mating net. Definitely deserves a video. Do check it out!
YES!
Yes
11:35 That's definitely one of the harder checkmates to find. Sacrificing a Rook because it was blocking its own pawn from delivering checkmate. I know it's a clearance sacrifice, but this is a sacrificing strong piece to allow way for a weaker piece.
2:29 That looks like an Evans Countergambit.
Wow! Way to go by these two gentlemen, finishing the Evans Gambit in style! They deserve to get the Evans Gambit badge
Nice break-up and explanation. Even a newbie can understand it that too without boring out seasoned players
Well done sir!
don't let anybody tell you you weren't here first

I am the one who comes before second
Ok I'm second
I was first

I love how the quote at the top finishes with 'Howard Staunton (on Twitter)' 🤣 Maybe that's why he was too busy to face Morphy
Hi , really love your content, the slow motion and the consistency of coverage. Simply brilliant. Hats off. Keep it going. VV from India
I like how you added the rating under the name. Been a sec since I watched video, but I came back and like that
Omg the Evans Gambit 🤯
Thank you! Very interesting
Nice one, thanks for sharing the video! Have a good day.
Feels really privileged to watch his videos as soon as it was uploaded...
evan's gambited gambit with that B6 move
Wow this is one of the best games I've seen. Insanely good, by both players really.
Just by reading the title, b4 I saw the game, I knew it's gonna be a blast!
Evans Gambit !! The most dubious gambit where we either loose badly or win spectacularly ...all depends on opponent :D :D
Of all the gambits, evans gambit might be one of the soundest gambits of all time! but it all depends on the opponent still of course :)

As a UNESCO-certified chess authority, I agree with my peers such as Magnus, Anand, et al that the move b4, by any side in any given position is The Best Move.
Not all the positions though.. there are some games I have witnessed on this channel where Agad himself has said "that b4 is not the best move in this position "
So maybe not all the positions probably😅
@@AdornationMusic yeah, obviously, but dont take jokes too serious
1.b4 is probably not the best opening move in chess.
Wow what a checkmate! King in the center of the board with so few pieces remaining. And a pawn checkmate at that!
Nice game! I need to learn this opening system.
Never thought I’d see this b4 move on the channel again!
The prophesy has been fulfilled! At last, the Evan’s gambit is on the board!
Awesome. Very active and fun game
Beautiful board geometry at the end
Because of this channel, all I play is the Evan’s gambit, when allowed of course
Arjun Erigaisi won Abu Dhabi open. Please Cover his game he played against Wang Hao
Thank you Sir - your youtube helps keep me sane in an increasingly mad world
czcams.com/users/shortsu1_P3s-T3Ro
I know this opening pretty well.
I've used to for years and think of it as a great weapon. The few times I have people play people trying to use it against me I feel very comfortable going into the line. Thinking that I can foil it, I end up angry that I lost
A Beautiful game of an advancing style.
Awesome match fellas.
At 4:06 White does not pick up the bishop on a5 after... c6 but after Qxc6+ Bd7 white wins after Re1+
Mr. Agad if you don't mind, could please include also the origins of every names of the opening. That would help me a lot
Love it!
Lets go more Evans Gambit action
There are a few correspondence games in this line, called the Leonhardt countergambit. It is apparently somewhere around equal. Since the Evans gambit is actually sound, something that Chigorin understood over 130 years ago, a countergambit that is roughly equal is therefore playable and is worthy of attention.
Brilliant game 😀
Nice Checkmate that finishing pawn Checkmate is the kind of move someone would want to think through for a second instead of doing something brash like bringing queen up to pair with Bishop Great Game Thanks Agadmator
what a game ! spectacular
Soon on Netflix:

Nice game!
Can’t resist watching a video with such a captivating title!!

hahah the slow motion was a stunner :D
Waiting for a Evans tweet now
Thanks...!!!!
I knew this video was coming...b4 it happened!!
Love the slow motion
Howard Staunton tweeting from Hotel del luna
“in the style of old masters”
Oh...what a thriller of a game it was..!
i need to to learn this gambit
Amazing
Feeding the CZcams algorithm. Another great video and analysis.
Yeah, I definitely saw the mate on g2. I absolutely did not miss that at all.
Love the slo-mo move
Yess, my favorite opening (thanks to you, Antonio)
i even missed that mate in 1 because my mind thinks queen capture on pawn was a brutal move closing in the queen to the opponent king. welp, i love chess anyways.
I miss pawn move mates 9 out of 10 times. 1 out of 10 times when I actually get the pawn mate it is by accident. I didn't know it was mate before I moved the pawn.
When in doubt, give a check. Oh look, it's mate.
incredible game. wow
I like when the King is mated by a pawn.
6:00 “I know none of you missed that”
Of course, of course I didn’t
How long was it since I saw evens gambit in this channel?
Accelerated London : Am I a joke to you?
My favorite opening♥️
@2:56 why not Qx d4? What am I missing??
Plot twist: He only chose that opening to get featured here.
I guarantee he played the evans gambit so his game would be featured here.
More Evans Gambit.
Firstly, I should say I have been a subscriber for a long time and greatly enjoy your analysis. However, perhaps my deafness is getting worse: you seem to be rambling on a bit in this video!
Unfortunately I could not make out much of the commentary. Very interesting game though!
Thanks, as ever.
TBH I literally missed checkmate😂😂 because I was thinking about capturing c7 pawn by knight, if I was playing the game I would have spotted it, but I'm just watching it so it's different thing for me
Only Agadmator knows how to share the joy of b4 and after.
The most interesting game in a while.
Incredible

can you show one of Irene Sukandar's games? She just secured second GM norm in Abu Dhabi
What a move Bd4!! would have been!
Evans gambit great Very nice game brilliant sac on Rxg5 👌👌hi ji how are you did u went India for chess Olympiad to watch and coverage any video
09:00
How about Qb3 because it attacks g8 rook, and black can't capture f4 pawn , at first I was thinking about Qd4 because it lines up Black's queen and king, forces him to capture, but black rook will capture G2 pawn and f4 pawn
Qb3 doesnt achieve anything... rg7 and black survives
@@dragondish904
Oh nice finding
i totally wasnt thinking of playing Qxg5+ what are you talking about
i don't see why is it checkmate when rook g5. Can anyone explain? pawn g5, Qg5, Ke6 .....

I defeated a 1600 in 18 moves just by playing the evans gambit. thanks agadmator
I have 2 months of chess to binge tomorrow MUAHAHHAAHAHAHA
4:32 ahahah 🤣🤣
At 4:30, when Black plays ...Ne7, why doesn't White play Qh5 (instead of Bxf7+)?
I guess that the reason is that Black would reply ...d5, blocking the f7 mate threat while protecting the a5 bishop, & freeing Black's position for a pawn.
Qxg5 is totally a move I'd make and blunder the game 😆
He says I am only kidding I know none of you missed that. Me thinking to myself I probably would have missed that 😆
at 9:00, my first real guess for the move was Queen to F3...and I assume that wouldnt be good because it would basically entail a bunch of trades which would lead to a draw but could someone tell me what I'm missing and why it isnt a good move?
#suggestion abudhabi open. Arjun erigaisi vs wang hao round 8.
Is it still a resignation if youre in checkmate?
Why is Todd from Breaking Bad playing at a chess tournament?
Evans gambit is Agadmators equivalent of Eric Rosens Stafford.
Agadmator, why B4 was not a slow motion move? Please do B4 on slow no whenever you are commenting on Evans Gambit! :)
Is two rooks for a queen good? 6:40
At 10:48,
Why not white rook to H7 double-check, K-G8, Q-G7 Mate?
My mistake, Bishop in the way.
These kids are talented
Ok I'll admit it yes I missed the checkmate. Watched the game twice and still missed it .😅
a little annoying seeing black resign instead of allowing the cool pawn checkmate
