- Fishing with Bread is not limited to fishing on the top with bread crust or under a float with bread flake. In this video Mark Pitchers runs us through 3 of his alternative bread fishing tactics that have been catching him Carp for over 20 years.
From a simple Mesh PVA bag tactic through to how to hair rig bread, this video gives you an insight into how effective bread can be in the winter months and Mark proves this by putting multiple fish on the bank on a cold, wet, February session.

Calm down guys, Mark was actually born with an unfortunate condition where one arm is much longer than the other, wearing a 1kg watch helps lengthen the short arm. We need to support others rather than bring them down as we might never know their situation 🤪

Armor mesh is the answer to the comp question.
Hi Mark The undisolving mesh was Arma Mesh. Great session in Feb. I remember nicking my Mum's bread cos that and worms was all we could get for bait in the 60's!!! If you were able to spend pocket money on 1/2 pint of maggots you were king of the lake!

Hi Mark, firstly, great session for the middle of Feb!! the mesh you used was Arma mesh. I have only ever used bread in the summer and im not too sure why, hoping to get out on the bank soon and will try some of these tactics!! I think my favourite was the ball of bread in the Arma mesh.
The mesh you used was the Arma Mesh. I have a lake exclusive coming up in March, very tempted to take a loaf with me now, I usually only fish it during the summer but this has really opened my eyes 👍🏼

Fox Arma mesh. Great video. Fishing with bread for carp has always been my favourite tactic. Great in the summer months for fishing on the surface.

Arma mesh, liquidised bread in a pva stick is something I never used but it seems a really good edge in the colder months, thanks for the new tip and great video :)

Good morning all, great video as usual and something I don’t usually use as my multiple sclerosis brain can’t fathom how to keep the knot tight on PVA mesh but now you shown me a different method with the ARMAMESH and string I’m going to re-look at this venture and get it beaten once and for all. I do believe bread is a very underrated tactic.
