Well you forgot all that private transport that served in frontlines and wes as useful. They just couldn't use trams elsewhere as they would be useless without tracks, they are not very adaptable.
Both are useful but in this video and this comment, we are talking about good public transport and trams not private transport. He doesn't forgot it, it just that private transport is not the topic.
In Russia (yes i know it was the ussr but it was still russia), they were able to operate trams during one of history's hardest ever sieges and against one of the strongest armies of all time. Here in Australia, we lost a war against Emus.
Greetings from Melbourne, where we do love our trams. Thanks for this moving video. It is amazing how for the most part the trams kept working during these times. I really enjoy your videos very much - thanks for sharing them.
I see you hired a professional voice over for the narration ! I admit he has a very nice and clear voice but I find it loses a bit of the charm of your earlier videos. I really like your (russian ?) accent ! It makes the video more immersive and unique :) that’s only my opinion though ! In any case I will keep watching your amazing videos. Greetings from France !
Planning on doing another trip across Europe by local/commuter trains? Your video series from Moscow to Barcelona was some of the most interesting content I've watched on CZcams probably since the straight line mission across Wales by geowizard two years ago.
Thank you! I have plans for at least three of them. And I hope so much that this winter we won't see any more border controls, and test and quarantine requirements, and line closures, and curfews at 6pm, and we drop those bloody masks already.

While its true that Russia did most of the work during the WW2, lets not forget that it was Stalin who didnt want to evacuate the city because "soldiers will fight better with civilians behind them" or something like that.
Idiot. The UK was fighting its own war against the Germans unlike the US which preferred to remain neutral and sit on their backsides until Japan woke them up.
Even soviet historians acknowledged that without US's Lend Lease Act the victory over Nazis won't be possible. Nevertheless, it should be noted that this war could have been prevented if Britain and France did not turn a blind eye to Hitler occupying Czechoslovakia in the spring of 1939 and did not refuse the Soviet proposition to form an alliance in the summer. (that's only how I see it, I don't pretend this to be an absolute truth)
One thing you forget - it was also a Russia who started the war as a Nazi ally, splitting Poland in half and assuring alliance with Germans, who then have one side covered and could turn to the west solely without worrying about Russia -> and it was only the Hitler´s fault that he decided to attack Russia, which draw RU to the war on the opposite side (hugely supported from allies Afterwards via conwoys etc.). And to be honest - Russia (USSR) is (was) the ONLY country who actually GAINED some land from this conflict - they kept their half of conquered Polish land and Germany has lost part of their land to newly formed ("west moved") Poland. Act, that resulted in lots of suicides of Polish soldiers fighting in WW2 on Allies side, cause they have lost their homes and land to a country that invaded them right at the beggining of the war and killed tons of people without hesitation (and previous reason). once again, good public transport literally saved lives and possibly the war, why hasnt everyone learned that yet?

Во время блокады линия фронта подходила к городу так близко, что в некоторых местах на трамваях подвозили бойцов и снаряды прямо на передовую.
Так же и в моём городе-герое Одесса.
