Certainly, but for now, I'd recommend to focus on other management exams like XAT which can also land you into tier 1 MBA colleges.

My 1 and only doubt is...that, is it necessary to have a job before you present yourself in front of the interviewers of IIM...can I not say that all i did was study and prepare for CAT the entire year?
The issue here is some people do work and crack the exam so when you both are sitting in an interview who do you think would the interviewer will choose ? The one who was working and still cracked the paper aur someone who was just studying the whole year for CAT. That is why it is advised to do something that you can say in the interview that I was not just studying for CAT, I was doing improving myself and these to proof these internships and certificate comes handy. Its not as hectic as job and you learn stuffs too

My name is SHYAMVEER SINGH ( 3rd year student of NIT SRINAGAR).I am writing to seek your guidance on a crucial decision I am facing regarding my career path. I am considering preparing for the Common Admission Test (CAT) to pursue an MBA, but I have some concerns about my academic record and co-curricular activities.
My academic record includes a 78.8% in 10th class and a 88.6% in 12th class and 7.8 CGPA in BTech. I understand that these scores are lower than the average for CAT aspirants. Additionally, I did not participate in any co-curricular activities during my schooling, which I understand is also considered important for MBA admissions.
Should I prepare for CAT or not ?
Or should I focus on college placement?
