So glad Mr Ventura and Company were able to remove the tree from Bud and Steph’s roof so quickly! What a blessing for them not to have to worry with that after they got home! Thanks, Lester, for the updates across the Hill and area. Hopefully power will be restored soon and things can get back to normal. Prayers for Jami’s safe travel 🧳. See you tonight , Lester 😊
Galveston has terrible flooding & deaths😢. Houston is ok. Great thing everyone & all animals are ok in-regards to Morrow Hill. Prayers that Aunt Joanne is ok, no one mentions her🙏🏽. Thank goodness for the guy who cut the tree off the house-hope that doesn't discredit homeowners insurance.
It was my understanding that insurance was called and they are following the advice they were given. Things are so different in a world of pictures and video!💕
I will say this time, your father did good preparing, filled up gas tanks, trailers lined up for easy access, plan of action for the animals. But I get what you mean about stubborn people unwilling to leave, it puts first responders in danger of flood waters, electricity and use of their time instead saving people without the ability to move people that can't. There is a few states that fine people for not evacuating when they are told for that reason. I will say after a hurricane I was in, we lost power and there were a lot of awesome barbeques people trying to eat stuff up in their freezer. Glad everyone was safe. Also great idea paying for someone's order at a drive thru it is a nice feeling for yourself and of course the person you're doing it to.
Arizona has a law on the books titled "The Stupid Motorist Law". It states that anyone who goes around or ignores a barricade at a flooded wash, underpass, bridge or roadway and becomes stuck, receives a ticket with a substantial fine plus they have to pay for the cost of everyone needed and all the equipment required to rescue them.
TY for sharing⭐️❤️🙏🙏Steph and Buddy will be able to fix at a reasonable expense🙏🙏⭐️⭐️❤️❤️So happy LHL’s pond work survived⭐️⭐️❤️❤️As well as all family and properties⭐️❤️
I live in east central Florida. Every time we are in the three day cone people lose their ever loving minds. Some people foo foo the storm. Some hoard supplies. Liquor stores sell out. Gas stations have mile long lines. After the storm, the real personalities of people come out. Gosh forbid we lose power and we have to go without power for more than a day. Gosh forbid the stores don’t open right away. People complain and yell about the linemen not giving them power within 24 hours. Some places price gauge and it’s awful. People foo foo the storms and either wait until the last hours or don’t do anything at all and are mad at everyone else. People, stock up now. Have a plan in place. Ahead of time. Don’t wait until the last minute. Do a little bit every week or two. Don’t hoard. Please only take what you need for a couple weeks. And be kind. Be courteous. And help your neighbor.
You know Lester, most of those last minute people, are in that situation because of finances. Doesn’t matter how much notice you get if you don’t have money or transportation.
Well you plan on getting the building to cover the RV and that will help with hail and rain pommelling the roof but you could put in anchors and then anchor RV to some extent to the 4 wheel chassis area and maybe during a tropical storm and no more than maybe category one anchor heavy duty strap over the trailer towards each end as extra support but otherwise she can leave that off unless that happens and that I think would help a lot. you should have it anchored down anyway full-time because you do live near the gulf coast
I guess I need some goats to help me “clean up” after the Hurricane! Lol!! I live in a heavily wooded area in Houston. Happy you and Lex made it through safely. Beryl was really something. I couldn’t believe I got my power back the next day because last month it took 5 days to get power back. So nice of everyone to go to Step and Buddy’s to do what you could. That’s what families do for each other.
BUT, you DO good plumbing, right? Lol When my husband was still living, we had a large Generac that would run everything in the house. It was wonderful because our power went off if a dog hiked it’s leg on a power pole, it seemed. It was worth the money it cost. Pawpaw definitely needs one. We had a very big fuel tank hooked to the house, and if our power failed, instantly our generac started working. What a blessing!! I thought Pawpaw did much better during the last flood. At least he and GiGi did go to Kim’s to be safer.
I always say I forget that money comes out. That’s not much for 1, but many people gives you enough. You have always been good about telling us where it goes. Thank you
Hi Lester . I got a tip for your young bull waylon to distract him from the water pipes and troughs. Get vickery dirt to dump a pile of dirt . My bulls love to play with it.
They do have tie downs for rvs. They are wide bands. They go over the top. They are great for permanent rvs. Would be good even after you build the cover.
Lester enjoyed your video....getting the tree off of Stephanie and Buddy's home is a Blessing to them!! It was Nice to hear about some of the highlights of their vacation. Prayers for Everyone!❤❤❤❤❤❤ Great hearing about your pond overflow drainage working
We have Hurrcaines in September or October hear in Moncton, New-Brunswicck Canada. In the Maritimes, the Atlantic Coast. We get high wind and lots of rain and floads.
I have a family of 14!!! My mom and dad have a pop up camper. 2 king beds on the ends. We have all went camping in it before. Yea when the kids were little. The couch and table also turns into beds. It’s fun and made lots of memories.
Here we hear the word hurricane and the grocery stores will be cleaned out and anything holding gas is full. I’m 49 miles from the beach, but we get hit here. My parents had every pine tree cut down. They are the main distruction of wind. Dad replaced them with smaller trees. In a state where pine trees are the most kind of trees, high winds take them down. Our biggest part of season in SC is coming up.
Hardly anyone prepares for a disaster ....the news can talk about it for a week before it happens and still no one takes it serious! And I don't understand why! Everyone should have a generator for a back-up and fuel and water and food! They wait for something bad happens and then they are scrambling and tempers flare! Its just don't make sense why waiting till last minute!
The KW of the generator tells you what size it is and the load it can carry. You have a small house but you have the shop, most likely, connected to the system. You most likely have a 24-26 KW Generac unit. I work in the service department of a Generac Certified company.
Lester you are just so funny. You need to keep the spirits up or you will lose it all. Don't worry be happy. You will get through this. No lose of life. ❤😂❤😂❤
Lester, I am a old farm girl that was raised by my farmer daddy that could and did fix most everything. You can get those anchors they use to tie down trailers, put them in the ground to hold the RV. How you attach the anchor to the RV, I don’t know, but it can be done.
Looking it up the dam has been fixed, so now there isn’t a threat anymore…. Repairs were set up to be done on the 8th of July and were actually done on the 7th and tested and passed before the hurricane hit and there was no threat to anyone or anything during the hurricane
I worked 3d shift at Walmart during Covid. Talk about crazy people. At times I was scared to even be there. Your example of what was going on at that gas station. Made those memories come back to me.
PawPaw was amazing in the speed and efficiency of his prep for this storm. He had it all lined up in his mind and worked his way down the list. Kim, on the other hand, was off her game. No fuel, two small generators not big enough to power AC. She is talking about sleeping on the back deck.
I knew you had to ride it out in the motor home to manage the animals but I was surprised you took lex with u. A fond memory you too will share of facing the storm together!

It’s not like this was a surprise, people had a maximum of the move like I don’t know eight days and three days out they pretty much knew that it was going to hit Texas. I’ve done the best I can do as I live in an apartment my daughter and her husband have been prepping for four years for anything that could possibly happen. I wish my son would take the same attitude but they are not. I keep telling them they should do some prepping in case something happens but you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink. God Bless all of you in Texas and LA. I hope bud an steph can rebuild there roof. an I am so happy to hear all the animals are fine. Lester I agree with you. I am in upstate Ny. so many people were unprepared during covid. I am a prepper an we were fine. but people turned into angury mobs. kind of scary to see how fast it happens stay safe an may God Bless all of America that got flloods an forest fires etc.
Hopefully energy will be restored soon. Bree’s horses need to be moved to your back pastures for water. Also they could have fun eating your pasture grass.
I understand all the issues with people around the hurricane! A couple years ago we had a fire sweep through our area. People l ebsere driving on the wrong side of the road, swerving between cars, not paying any attention to traffic lights or stop signs!! It was like mayhem!! Very sad!!
Hope you all are doing well, and it was so very nice to see everybody pitching in to help Buddy and Stephanie while they were gone . That must have been scary for them knowing a huge tree feel on top of their house, and they were on vacation . Well, thank the good Lord for having such a good family to help them out . !!!
Sadly common sense is lacking these days. My parents always kept things prepared in case of emergencies. We were well seasoned campers so there was no problem cooking or living without power. We had the grill plus a camping stove and lantern. Dad always kept a full can of Coleman fuel.
Praise God you all are safe! I pray it stays that way! Praise and sadness here in Michigan we get the rain that the farmers will get the benefit from it. Bitter sweet.
Tear the building down. You've been pouring money into it long enough. Save your tubs for water troughs for the animals. Put the washer and dryer in your shop for when yours goes out. The new models are crap and breakdown really fast. Same with your microwave. Don't know what you can do with the saddles though. Glad your safe. You taught Lex what to experience in a hurricane. All lessons learned.
Here in Michigan we had three dams breach and collapse. It washed out a down town. Took many homes with it. It flooded into three counties. We were left stranded as we were surrounded by all of the rivers and all of the bridges that crossed them were either closed or washed out. Scary times!
Lester you know how that works with people sending you money! Let them do what they feel blessed to do! You all are amazing and I have started my own little farm from what I have learned from you! Keep being blessed!
When they told us they would shut down power the night before the fire that took Paradise Ca. I went and got cash and fuel. One of the issues in fleeing the fire was cars backed up trying to get fuel. People were in a panic. People burned in cars from traffic backing up. I was able to get out because I knew all my escape routes and it took 8 hrs to get off that hill. I never have less than a 1/2 tank of fuel and I always have cash. Prepare!
I'm so glad all family and animals are good. I was watching a YT creator, jLR investigates, the last day and night. He was live at Matagarda? Beach and it was bad as well as Bay City. He said at least 7 lives were lost so far, including a Houston police officer. 😪Hurricanes are horrible. Isabel split the brick house in half behind us in the early 2000's. Stay safe.
Jake doesn’t have a generator or no ac in his place? Glad the tree got removed so quick, really kind of Mr. Ventura.🤗🙏❤️ So glad animals are okay, worries me for wild animals & domestic babies in fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, I worry more for animals that don’t know what’s happening. 🥺❤️
Lake Livingston Dam sounds exactly what had happened on your dam. Much smaller scale but could be the same result as LHL dam . Yes that is scary . Where the hell are the city officials in all this. There has to be some oversight .
I hope Jake and Lyssa do go somewhere to cool off. With that heat she needs cool air poor thing. She will have quite the pregnancy story!
Pawpaw is like captains of a ship he’ll go down with the ship lol
It's hot to were currently with out power since 4:30am yesterday. It's bad

May things calm down and everyone stay safe!! Love you all!!!❤❤❤
Lester, there is no other place I can go where I can get the belly laughs like I can get from watching you! (“Sign language”!)
I just came to the comments to say basically the same thing. He's hilarious.
His sign language is not safe for work, LOL. too funny
Hi Denmans! Drive safe! Glad KS didn't get'cha!
Love your explanation on the tree and the roof😂😂
I love hearing the donkeys talking to you.Yall are great survivors. Love to all.

No, keep the little barn on the survivor. A first responder died in the flood waters trying to get to work. Moving water is scary.
