- OXI One got a new mode in the 2.0 firmware just released, the Stochastic MODE!
**Grab the new 4.0 firmware here: oxiinstruments.com/oxi-coral/...
OXI One has always had plenty of generative tools:
Different randomization options, some of them quite uncommon, like time division randomization and modulation, euclidean and algorithmic pattern generators, S&H, polymeters, etc.
All them combined allowed to create different recipes that bring really unexpected results.
We wanted to expand this concept with a new mode, a hands-on generative tool: Stochastic Mode
- Create a sound palette by choosing the probability for each note in a scale to be played.
- The set probability will also have an influence on how the rhythm evolves
- This probability can be modulated by internal and external sources to evolve the pattern over time
- You can decouple the rhythm from the pitch and also randomize the pitch and time division
- All randomization and modulation options are working just as in the other sequencer modes
- Loop on different parts to focus on specific melodic ideas
- Save your recipes and make a song out of it with the Arranger!
- Full CV and Gate support for modular delight

Every time I wonder if something is possible on the Oxi One - even something really technical - I discover the team has already considered it and included an option for it. Bravo, I love this thing so much!
Glad you're doing this video. Please do Euclidean and drum Grids tutorials.
wow this tool looks amazing, I was looking for something just like this! I really think this sequencer can blow up. I think there is alot of people looking for sequencer only without all the added samplers and what not
This is the sequencer I've been wishing for, for YEARS
Thank @OXI Instruments. Happy to see you are doing tutorials, looking forward to see more! and looking even more forward to receiving my oxi (ordered a few weeks ago)! greetings from Amsterdam
Seriously this machine is the gift that keeps on giving, such a brilliant implementation for generative sequencing
So cool! It’s got what I love about using a Turing machine module, but with more flexibility
incredible, thanks for all the hard work.
Wow, now I’ve watched this I’m really impressed with the implementation and capabilities of stochastic mode. So very very clever, particularly how it works with the normal sequencer parameters on to of the stochastic mode options. Great work guys!
Incredible sequencer thank you so much !
This looks great, maybe just maybe it's actually time to get rid of my much loved Beat Step Pro... Feels like this is the device a lot of the modular community are waiting to find out about.
Thanks OXI, very interesting indeed!
Very nice! 🔥
Videos rock !
thats amazing
very interesting unit, seems i need to have alook
@robert Babicz if i know you well enough , i think you will enjoy this sequencer :)
question about stochastic mode and setting it's scale to Harmonize with some other chord channel... is this work in progress? I can't get it to work: the stochastic mode doesn't adapt to scale or note changes in the chord channel. Or am I doing something wrong?
Not implemented yet!
@@oxiinstruments Customers are greedy bastards, ey? :) Love Oxi and appreciate your work! Thanks for confirming.
Lovely 😅😮😢🎉😂❤
Please, avoid background music while playing examples.
