I married and had children very young and I never finished my education. As a result, Iived for many years as an abused and neglected wife, staying only because I could not provide my children the things I felt they needed. But I'll tell you one thing I was smart enough to do right! I pushed my daughter to do well in school. I taught her that she was a gift and should not be tossed aside for any reason. And best of all, I watched my little girl earn a master's degree. She's married to a great guy and they've been together for 21 yrs now. She stays though because she's still in love. Not because she has to in order to feed her kids! No woman should be dependent upon a man for the basics. Maybe I wasn't such a dummy after all. It may have been late in the game, but I learned! Boy oh boy, did I learn!

I never in my life put up with that. Worked two jobs and weekends. I have many girlfriends who did too. They also worked and went to school. So... There is never a good enough reason. My grandmother and mother in the 30s and the 60s also worked to provide. My grandmother always had a job. They never divorced, they loved each other. No woman in my family ever let a man provide. And all my sisters are married to the same man for years. Their husbands have
MAD respect for them. Because they went into marriage always knowing they better keep a job, and take care of the kids. And they did.
Sorry for your situation but based on my own observation, It's bullshit

Terri Garcia I agree with one of the other comments, you should tell your story whenever the opportunity arises. A handful of clueless females will talk crap about you, but those of us who aren't jerks can see what a strong woman you are. It takes a strong woman to put up with the kind of crap you did for all those years and still teach your daughter what a precious gift she is. Staying is not weakness. Sometimes staying is doing what you have to do to survive. It all depends on a million different circumstances & nobody's circumstances are exactly alike. God bless you for having the strength to raise your daughter into a confident woman.

Good evening from North Cenral Arizona🖐 After several days of cloudiness with chilly winds, today I walked alone around my yard above the little old Verde River in the brilliant sunshine! Not bad considering on September 15th, I had a double hip joint replacemant surgery, with 18 days of sleeping in a hospital bed, but 14 of those days consisted of three hours a day of physical therapy! After five years of extreme pain as the newly replaced joints were disappearing, I only have a twinge of pain in my upper femur bones..,where the Surgeon wrapped cables around so the bones won't split! Such modern surgical technics! And I only owe a small share after Medicare paid thier part!! I'm so very happy for that you enjoyed the rainbow walk where you are, I hope you enjoy to see many more of those, as for the pot of gold, well, it just may be that it would somehow lessen the joy in those rainbow walks. Have lovely and wonder filled days/nights and life dear one!🙏💕💖💕 !🙂😀

In 1984, New York became the first state to require the use of seat belts by law. The law stated that the driver, as well as all front-seat passengers, must wear a seat belt at all times. As for rear-seat passengers, by law only those under age 10 were required to wear seat belts. This type of law, in which the seating position and age of the occupant determined whether or not they were required to comply, was used by other states as they adopted similar laws.
Many states adopted seat belt laws similar to those used in New York throughout the late 1980s. Where seat belt use was mandated, statistics showed a decrease in traffic fatalities, which pressured even more states to add seat belt laws. By the end of 1987, several states had a mandatory seat belt law, including California, Florida, Indiana and Pennsylvania. By the end of the 1980s, South Carolina, Virginia, Wyoming and Illinois had laws as well.

First of all, thank you for uploading this film. I love true stories. This film is one of the best I have ever seen. She goes through hell trying to get her kids settled. Love the grumpy old station hand. She makes it on her own after their father does eventually come home trying to order the kids to do what he thinks is right. After rescuing their daughter she finally gives him the talking to he deserves. I will not spoil it for anyone else. The ending is very good. I really enjoyed this film. PC. 11. 11. 2020.
