Biggest hack is book row 1 if it’s available. The Polaris seats are slightly staggered and your footwell stretches under the seat in front of you so it gets fairly narrow, especially on the narrow body planes. Row 1 doesn’t have a seat in front so the width of the footwell is significantly wider since it’s not under another seat, which means more comfort when you lie flat. Also if you are traveling alone, book the single seats that are NOT angled to the aisle, you get slightly more privacy that way because you are not directly facing foot traffic and you have a shelf / storage cabinet separating you from the aisle.
I'm 6'1 and my friends are taller … non of the biz seats with any of the airlines are "stretch out" … they're all okay, but still cramped and row #1 usually means you're in 1st class international, not biz.
@@brightymcbrightfacenot on a United Polaris flight. They don’t have “first class” so Polaris is always at the front. And I only know this because I was able to travel alone in biz class for an international trip. The “bulkhead” on this specific airframe (1-2-1) DOES give you more space. It’s not a lot, but it’s nice if you have a bag you’d like to keep with you even when you lay the seat down. It’s a super super luxury for most of us, so might as well make the most of it when you get the chance. 👍🏻
Oh god. Be careful if you book on the 777 configuration they have where there’s 4 across in the middle and there’s hardly any separation. Horrible experience
When you have a death grip on your armrest with seconds to live, take comfort in knowing you have the most diverse crew in the industry. Have a nice flight.
The biggest mistake might just be …booking with United. Remember…they are all about diversity and equity. They are willing to hire pilots based on equity…as opposed to merit. I don’t know about you, but I want to fly on the airline that hires the best+most experienced pilots.
Well put 👏👏- idgaf about the gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation of my pilot - and it doesn’t make sense for us to be expected to congratulate them on random features like that as if you private life or aspects of who you are that you didn’t choose are worth oooo-ing and ahhhh-ing about 😅 - all that matters to me is can you fly the damn plane safely and well and not crash or leave me with bruises after a shoddy descent - the pilot could be a purple person with polka dots for all I care - just get me to my destination safely and on time and don’t hire people based on what they look like (bc that’s just straight up a violation of federal law, not that they seem to care 🫥)
No the biggest mistake is to take one of the straight oriented seats against the fuselage. Because of the wall the Control Strip for the recline is offset by 5 inches, robbing you of space
I've gotten some low business class fares to Europe for about $2500 roundtrip. Once you get used to paying for it, its easier to cough up the dough....for some its just a mental hurdle more so than actually cost prohibitive.
Delta is better, sure, but you have to fly through freaking Atlanta and their points program is trash. American is trash to begin with. United is member of the Star Alliance with, arguably, the world’s most superior airlines such as Lufthansa, SWISS, Austria, Brussels, South Africa, Ethiopia, Singapore Airlines, ANA, Asiana. The only part of the world where that alliance is truly lacking is South America tbh.
No kidding! I have never been afraid of flying before but that is changing between parts falling off of planes because of H1Bs and trigender multicolored pilots that may or may not have any idea how to fly.
You don't need that kind of money, you just need to get a card that gives you points and then pay your bills with that card. Nothing is unattainable, it's just riddled with hoops. You'll get there none day.
United f'ked me over back in 2014 and i haven't flown them since. Use this carrier at your own risk. They simply don't care because they don't have to.
Rest assured, I'll never make this mistake as I'll be in coach section 😂
Good for you. Ill be packing myself as luggage.

There’s still good and bad seats in economy too! I always check a seat map before I book any flight
‘The noisy aisle’, like there will be tons of walking traffic during your flight!
Video is nonsense
The champagne is not free. You've already paid for it
No shit Sherlock
So I can get a cheaper flight if I don’t want the Champagne?
Yes, of course the champagne and other food and beverage extras are baked in, as well as the lounge, etc.
WHAT 😲 😯 😮
Complimentary is a better word.
Free champagne? I'm pretty sure you've already paid over the odds for it
Your first mistake was flying United
Couldnt agree more
I guess you haven't been on Frontier;)

I second that: booking United in the first place is the biggest mistake

How is that a "hack"? Do you even know what a hack is? Most overused, misunderstood term ever.
Also row 1 is the one where no one survives in a crash.

All true, but there are times 1A is blocked for the relief pilot/crew rest for long transoceanic flights.
There’s a case for honeymoon seats, and one for 20th anniversary seats. Just saying…
Lol!!! True!
and put their kids in economy just like in home alone 🤣
They're the same seats. And how can a couple of inches make a huge difference in sound?
There is no such thing as free champagne
That's according to the TANSTAAFL Rule if I recall correctly from my intesectional deviancy course.
Step 1: get money to fly business class
I just wish they selected the BEST pilots to fly their planes.
Your safety and well being is not of their concern.
The middle seats are not more spacious …they’re the same size as seats in business class
Imagine hearing calping sound while sitting in middle row before landing😂
Edit:- thanks for 28liks first time in my life😅
Calping????
Ya, what is it?
Clapping. 👏🏽. That makes sense, if u r in middle, that sound is amazing.
Nah I book the single seat to get my alone time.
Absolutely, even though the middle seats have a divider, I still prefer the single pods at the window.
Oh god. Be careful if you book on the 777 configuration they have where there’s 4 across in the middle and there’s hardly any separation. Horrible experience
Man I always take the luggage class :(
Cargo compartment low key cozy tho

“Free champagne”. It ain’t free, you pay a fortune for the seat that includes it
I’m pretty sure worse things have happened on United flights before…
I do like Polaris but usually fly solo so I go for the window pods
But the title shows and plane and the world trade center 💀
LOL United treats kids and parents so well.
Thank you for sharing.😊😊
That arrangement is similar to Air Canada's. Outer seats are single, no one to yadda yadda you during those 14 hours to Hong Kaong.
No the biggest mistake is to take one of the straight oriented seats against the fuselage. Because of the wall the Control Strip for the recline is offset by 5 inches, robbing you of space
Flying United in general is a big mistake 😂
Thanks for sharing 👍 😊 😀
I only wish I could afford to fly business class
I've gotten some low business class fares to Europe for about $2500 roundtrip. Once you get used to paying for it, its easier to cough up the dough....for some its just a mental hurdle more so than actually cost prohibitive.
Complains about noisy aisle seat. Brings a kid into business class. You are the noise
Yes! Babies in business class??
The wtc behind: YOU. KILLED ME ANDSISTER
The seats are def not comfy in Polaris class. The foot wells are so narrow, it's claustrophobic.
Aren’t you pointing at the same seats for green and red?
I’m only booking because of that cute lil light
I’ll be in the back with the rest of the fight club thanks
Good to know. I hope to do this one day.❤❤❤
Looks like the same seats, and dude, that green fuzzy ball you’re holding looks ridiculous,
The biggest mistake is even choosing to fly United. 💀
“this is the biggest mistake you can make when flying uniteds business class”
*shows united plane right in from of the world trade center
Champagne is not a reason for flying any airline. #1 is safety. #2 Likelihood of flight taking off and getting to your destination on time.
The Polaris seats seem a little weird. The footrest is not quite aligned with the seat. it's hard to get comfortable using the footrest.
I hate that the couples seats are next to a window. I want my window seat
Nope, flying coach with a few bottles of whiskey
Me getting flashbacks when I see the plane and wtc
I’m short and not Rich so the only way you are likely to see me in Business Class is through the generosity of the Airline …
You also get, for free, a DEI pilot that was not the best pilot available.
Free champagne 😂 nah, you’ve paid a massive premium for that.
No United after dragging out an Asian looking doctor who was on practice assignment and got his teeth knocked out during that violence by the UAL
Nice,,, all business seats we built and I put laminate on it
Th landing view in the beginning reminded me of asiana 216
So a guy speaking into a bunch of broccoli tells me where to sit, and then tells me not to sit there.
That Champagne is not free! 😂
Thanks for the upload. We're planning on flying United from Brisbane to San Francisco in April. These seats look good.
They are very good, you'll enjoy that long flight.
Yes because those few inches make such a difference with all the noise coming from the aisle… like wtf 😅
DEI? No problem. Gonna drive.
What’s wrong with a high Diversity
Inclusion
Equity
score? 😂
Give me a like when you saw that baby on business class😂
Aren’t they the same seats?
Is is just me or seeing the first world trade center give you flashbacks.
I just made the change, thank you!
The biggest mistake of flying with United is....flying with United. End of story.
The seating chart quite self explainatory
Those were the same seats!
How can some seats be farther from the aisle and others closer when the seat configuration makes everybody seat an aisle seat?
Free champaigne…😂😂😂
Gotta have the money first to make the mistake 😢😂
What's going on that's so noisy in those aisles?
From your photo, the aisle is next to all seats. I dont understand.
Now find me a reason to book these out side of trans oceanic flights
Why is it noisy aisle? Are they dancing in their extra space away from the plebes?
The wrong seats are highlighted wrong 🤷🏻♀️😂🤷🏻♀️
Nah, Imma just go economy
The baby 😂😂😂
The actual biggest mistake is bringing a guitar
Still holding onto that 15-year-old pre-merger "joke" are we? 0:01
Try telling that to Taylor Swift 😂
Problems of the pampered upper classes.
Do they have a first class or just business class?
No no no. The center seats have no window. Would never choose one.
