    Update: The AMP ended up going out and 1 channel out of the 4 was clipping. The AMP was 6 years old, so when I hooked the speaker back up it worked for awhile, then it started clipping again once you turned the car off. Turn the car back on, unhook the speaker, hook it back up the clipping stopped. It was so strange. I replaced the AMP, it fixed the problem altogether. I was told hot summers in Phoenix cook AMPs and a channel blew out on the amp is why only 1 speaker would clip. I was on borrowed time, to begin with.

    Thanks dude I thought my s*** s*** on me too but once I checked the speaker wires were loose like the whole damn thing shook off or something like that thanks bro

    Yah I’m having an issue with my JBL amp keeps alternating between protect and lower lights
    I disconnected every cable and wire but power and it still doing it so just be my so sadly don’t got a multimeter for test it to see the voltages in my old car I usually just unplugged and plugged the rca. Back on it fiddle with it and starts workin again but if it doing it with nothing connected but power and the REM wire fro. My radio must be amp issue
    Thankfully got a backup amp. Cause I wanted/needed an amp for my nice speakers and one I was using for my somewhere in old car was only 2 channel I upgraded to a 4 channel backup not as good obviously but for my sub should work fine

    You should get an Alpine PDX V9, run a sub and have a shop install it so you don't have so much Gorilla tape and the Motordyne sticker doing your wire management. The Pioneer probably clips a lot at high volume too because it's a cheap amp and the wiring is ok with 8 gauge. Should have ran 4 gauge so you can update the amp later on with out having to redo the wiring. And you should clamp those wires so their not pulling on the connectors at the amp. Probably should use shrink tube or little rubber booties on those connectors because that electrical tape will probably unravel.
    Are you going to build your own customer enclosure?

      I did the install 6 years ago, tape holds well. I've never had to touch it, like I said. I did clamp the wires and then put tape over as a precaution. Heat tape would be better. No there is no clipping at high volumes, this is my first problem in 6 years. You are most likely right and I can't remember what gauge I used. I do know though, I invest in hearing aid companies because of all the boom boxes out there destroying eardrums. I'm not a fan of subs. I wanted to let a shop do the install, but they told me it was illegal to play music videos while driving. I said what is the point of having an LCD screen if you can't watch videos? So I decided to do the job myself. I found out about the 12v relay to make movies work which I'm sure you know about.
      My skills here are super weak, I know.

      Motordyne G35 Sub is 30% of your sound. Put one 8" in the corner. Drive the rear speakers off the head unit and bridge the rear off the 4 chanel and drive a small sub. Not having a sub you can't hear drums properly, the bass guitar or any synthesized music properly.

      I'm sure you are right. Props where due, I did see your sub setup box which was impressive. What I find when I ride in someones car with subs, is you can't hear any vocals other than bass. But that is with two 12's shaking the whole outside of the car, along with everything else rattling. Those 6X9's hit pretty hard with an AMP, more than enough to make me happy. An 8" would be just enough to make it better.

    Where do you put your tennis balls, I put them between the rear window and the rear deck

    • @MotordyneG35
      @MotordyneG35  Před 7 lety

      Why put tennis balls in the rear window? I do not have problems with vibrations, everything is dynamated. I just put the tennis balls there to put pressure on the amp to keep it tight, since the amp is screwed into the back seat and it is putting extra weight on the rear seat.
