Eating Whatever I Catch while fishing from a new Saltwater Pier ONLY! We head out to go saltwater fishing at a brand new pier with a mission - eat whatever I catch. What kind of fish would be around a pier like this?? We attempt to catch clean and cook whatever we hook into.. I did not expect for this to happen..

The trick to tiny hooks is even tinier bait, so squish your shrimp almost smaller than your hook

I dont know bout there, but here in australia, we have frozen "tweed bait".. the prawns (shrimp).. when they defrost they turn straight to mush, n u dont get many prawns/shrimp.
Sooooo majority of the "in the know" ppl, buy the prawns from supermarket/grocery store. For us, its woolworths/ coles.
Vannamei prawns to be precise.
They the smaller ones.
You can get 2 or 3 times the amount that is in the frozen pack for the same price, n it dont go mush (unless left in sun lol), n they stay on the hook soooo much better!!

I went saltwater fishing one time I had no beach I had a split shot and one hook. I looked at my wife she had a wig on. I asked her to cut off a piece of her wig, made a hair jig and started fishing I called nothing but sheep head and a bunch of puffer fish

Sabiki rig and add a piece of shrimp to each hook. Trust me. That’ll tell you what’s in the water. You’ll get a fast hook up. Seconds.

Not sure if you are near any sounds or may be while there. We lived in Morehead City/Newport area for almost 2 hrs. There are a lot of flounder that you may be able to jig in kayak. Most do it at night so you may need a headlamp. Also clam digging is good in the sounds too. Congratulations on getting married too.
