In this episode of the Quadratec Academy, Rob installs new carpet in a 97 Jeep Wrangler TJ. Chances are, if you've got a 97-06 Wrangler, your carpet probably looks similar if not worse than the carpet we had in our Jeep... faded, stained, dirty and worst of all, smelly! Rather than spending hours or even days trying to clean the carpet, you can quickly and easily replace it with a variety of options ranging from vinyl liners that are easy to wipe clean, to rugged liners that replicate spray in truck bed coatings, or complete factory style replacement carpet kits. Rob will be installing a Premium Replacement Carpet Kit from Auto Custom Carpets to bring back that factory fresh feeling to the interior of this TJ. I vote yes on a TJ tailgat hinge replacement video. My 99's hinges are so corroded you have to really lean into it to close or open the tailgate! Of course, there are some advantages to that (think parking on a hill) My TJ is one of only a few out there that the tailgate stays in any position no matter the slope you are on haha.

Showing the old tjs some love. I sprayed my interior with bed liner and then replaced the carpet with bedrug. Been happy with the results

I vote Yes on tailgate hinges. My hinges look like they have been broken and welded back together. The tailgate is hard to open now
Appreciate the video, and yes on the TJ hinge replacement, especially proven methods on removing damaged or rounded off torx screws. Plus removal of 97-2004 hinges with 05-06 OEM hinges and plastic covers. Thanks in advance.
Identical to my 98 when I stripped it exept the fries lol. Same change stuck in that cup holder too lol

What did you need to know specifically? To remove the automatic trans shifter handle, simply depress the "lock-out" thumb button, and pull up on the handle. That will allow you to remove the rest of the console the same as with the manual transmission.
my TJ like my old YJ leaks every time it rains. Took the front carpet out and and there was a silver insulation pad under the carpet took that away and i got a 2 inch hole in the floor that it is above the frame.. will patch the hole sand everything down and rhino it and put a drain hole some where else.
The highest end ACC carpet I bought for my TJ restoration fits like butt. I haven't found anywhere else to post a review warning others to be mindful of what you may receive. Take this as a formal review.

Do you have more info on the "insulation padding?" Type, make, specs, etc. Where can one find it. Is it a Quadratec product?
yes show us how to fix or replace tail gate hinges... mine I have to pull open and use all my weight against it to close it/ Bought Stainless steel hinges but can not get the bolts off of the old hinges.

I received new carpet for our 2004 Jeep Wrangler from Quadratec. It has 2003 written on back side of fender side pieces. Difficulty fitting. Is it meant exclusively for 2003?
