- In a new April 4 court filing, Angelina Jolie alleges that her ex-husband Brad Pitt was physically abusive to her before the 2016 plane incident that caused her to file for divorce. Since the couple was declared legally separated in 2019, Brad and Angelina have shared custody of their six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox.

She's lying. Brad has a prettyngood reputation except for that slip up with her. Theyre fighting over a vineyard. I believe she was given everything else. This is her chance to ruin his good reputation. Brad dated many high profile women. They all say great things about him.. this vineyard is the 1 thing he hasnt giving in to. She needs to sit down. Her past reputation will be dug up and it is much more interesting
Jennifer Aniston and others prior to Angelina didn’t say anything about Brad ever being abusive
They also didn’t have kids with him, so their relationships are not really comparable.

Also, a lot of adults don't believe kids are being abused by their parents because of how they behave around other people close to them. People have different faces for different people, and if that is hard for you to grasp, then maybe you need to get a grip.
Why would his previous partners claim abuse? Hollywood stands with him. Accusing a male Hollywood celebrity of abuse is usually a career ending moment.

The more the divorce is lasting the more new infos come up… first he was an alcoholic, then verbally abusive to his children and her and now a few years later he was apparently physically abusive too.

I’m not inclined to believe it because she seems like a very assertive person - I don’t think she would have put up with physical abuse in a relationship - especially not for ten years - she would have gotten lawyers, restraining orders, etc
Gosh this comment section is just full of people making assumptions about abuse. Do some research. It's easy to say how it should be/use common sense until you or someone you know has been in it yourself. We don't know one way or another all I'm saying is this "common sense" you seem to be applying here isn't really what tends to happen. Lundy Bancroft is a credible source who works in the field if you are interested in learning the truth rather than just making assumptions (assumptions which hurt abuse survivors)

Many men and women stay with abusive partners long after they should have left. Many kids grow into adults who still see abusive parents and siblings even though it's toxic and damaging. The kids grow up to choose partners and friends that treat them like they've witnessed growing up. Toxic relationships do a number on your head.

When people are trapped in close quarters, they see the worst of that person. It's difficult, but people go crazy when living with each other and their tolerance levels are thin because they have no escape from one another. I don't know if it's real or not. But people are better off living away from each other. It just seems like old memories that they (the news media, you) are bringing up and digging into old wounds.

Learn how parental alienation works. The kids align with the more narcissistic parent and discard the normal “targeted” parent. Brad is clearly the targeted parent here.

Their kids grew up seeing/ hearing whatever was going on between them. The altercation on the airplane must have been terrifying for all of them- including Brad. Nobody is perfect and addiction can affect anyone. I have no clue how he treated her but I can say that there's a reason why drink is called a demon and anyone who has encountered an alcoholic in their life can tell very contrasting stories about when they're sober and when they are intoxicated. Not every drunk is happy or charming. Hopefully he can heal his relationships with his children and himself..
