Thanks everyone, i'm actually searching for one, just don't know what size yet haha. I live in Finland so i can't even skate right now, but there's a lot of underground skateparks here. And thanks, January 27th gonna partyyyy :D @@nothisispatrick1753
I'd say that most skaters trying to learn fail to get past the beginner phase because they don't practice stuff like this before trying to do stuff like kick flips. It's a lot easier to do tricks of any kind if they feel very comfortable on the board first. I've seen kids trying to do tricks before learning how to ollie or push around easily and just giving up because it feels too difficult.
Lol I learned to pop shov before I could turn left💀 I agree, better to learn how to actually skate around. Now I'm really smooth on the board and trying to get my first flip tricks landed
Thays what I did, eventually I fell in love with my friends board with longboard wheels and he actually gave it to me! I could go down the "big" neighborhood hill on my feet and it was awesome man. He stole it back a couple days layer cause his step brother visited and my boy changed with company 😔
@oxcuz4754 I guess it depends on where you are. Everytime I go to the park with the homies we can't help but meet someone cool. Last time we met a teacher that got his school to let him teach a skateboard class.
skatebparding is more for tricks and stunts, so it doesnt ride that smooth. long boarding is made for just riding it and its really smooth. so if its different thats the reasons! and some of these can ruin the wheels so it wouldnt be that smooth so good luck!
Don't let this comment discourage you there's a lot of different types of longboarding. There are many different Wheels, lengths, equipment, board shapes! There is something out there to fit you. But the tips in the video are still completely valid for any beginner!
I've tried getting into skating so many times but i struggle with just riding the thing lol. Most of these tricks are just as overwhelming to me as the big crazy ones. Also since when is manualling not a trick 😂
Don’t feel discouraged guys !!! I skated a little back when I was school but never Advanced as far as riding the board. I’m 21 now and I’m trying to get back into it, for so long I thought I was good but I wasn’t, these are definitely some things I gotta start or acting. Skating is difficult but very func good luck fellas and ladies.
I'm an old man now. I don't have bones and joints for tricks. 😂😂 I just hit the skatepark and mess around on a little 4 ft quarter. Trying to understand and get the courage to try a rock&roll or something simple. 😂😂
Dancing in the rain in the background was an amazing choice for such a heartwarming video ❤ This video is like a hug to beginners saying "Hey don't worry if you can't do tricks yet you'll get there, try these things for now 😁"
I used to have a skateboard (could only really go back and forth in the driveway because the pavement and sidewalks and all the things would’ve sent me FLYING gotta love those areas woo) but I really want to try again, seeing that last part was really reassuring to me. God bless! :)
Rad little video. Do you have any videos giving a full breakdown of no. 4 (Caveman)? Been trying to figure this out for the longest time and it just doesn't compute
God i miss skating so much ): im gonna have to spend around two years away from skateboarding due to a motorcicle acident and i just cant wait to go back!! While i'm not around i'm just gonna keep watching skate videos and you guys have fun! Soon i'll be back!
This video is awesome. I see so many people that just learned to kickflip, but are basically unable just to cruise in a stylish manner. Get the basics down first.
Practice different types of stopping as well, tail scraping is good, but get a tail guard so you don't get razor tail, same goes for the nose. Try it with the bottom of your shoe on the ground and letting it glide as well, don't do it too much or you’ll lose your shoe lmao
Man skating is hard I'm 26 started to skate in the end of last year because I cant snowboard where I live and still cant really ollie, but vids like this make me wanna skate.
Used to be a very good rollerblader as a kid going down very steep hills in my hometown (a mountain town) and used to ride a ripstick as a teen living in a very flat county. Been wanting to get back into skating but with a skateboard, also to be able to skate home instead of walking 1hr back home or getting a £12 Uber, since I live and work in a city and the way back is half flat terrain and half downhill. It's good knowing what to practice, especially since I'd want to actually have stable footing and good control before even thinking of going downhill, considering how dangerous it could be
Just got a board today and I'm just now starting out! I can't ollie while rolling yet but I'm trying to learn stationary it's hard to ollie lol. But to be 33 I feel like it's better late then never 🤷 thanks for the video I needed it 😊😎
Its not about how fast you can learn, its about how comfortable you are. I found that if i feel super exposed on a ride, i feel super self conscious and am more likely to need to bail or eat sh-t. Just get comfortable first before doing crazy stuff, and always start slow, and always be safe and careful. Things can happen fast.

my only problem for skateboard is I ride goofy but if I wanted to do an ollie I have to be in a regular position since my right foot is the strong one. I usually just fall trying to do tricks from the goofy side 😢
im really nervous trying to turn left and right on my board because it doesnt turn that much and usually lifts the wheels when i lean and when i leant left one time i slipped backwards and smashed my head into concrete and had a big bump on my head for ages
