- The Philadelphia 76ers go into the 2024-25 NBA season with plenty of excitement after a busy 2024 NBA offseason. The 76ers core of Joel Embiid & Tyrese Maxey was joined by Paul George to create a formidable big three. Daryl Morey also brought back Kelly Oubre Jr., Kyle Lowry & KJ Martin while adding Caleb Martin, Andre Drummond & Eric Gordon through NBA Free Agency and Jared McCain & Adem Bona in the 2024 NBA Draft. PG 8, but I'm also excited to see Andre Drummond return to Philly.
I learned elsewhere Bona is signed to a 4 year $8M deal.
Can you guys look at Santi Aldama? He makes about 7 million, he can shoot the 3, 7 foot but can play the 4, can rebound and play on the perimeter. Perfect trade piece with KJ Martin. I would give KJ Martin and 1st round pick to the Grizzles.

Hell yeah we have the best trio. As long as the chemistry is real we got a chip or two ahead. I expect everyone bring each other up with great camaraderie and trust in each other.
Jared McCain kind of reminds me of Bryn Forbes, I like Bona, he plays out of control, the 76ers should lock him in a room with Ben Wallace tapes
Justin Edwards is clearly the best player on the Summer league roster. That kid is going to be SUPER good. I hope they retain him at all costs.

Jeff Dowtin Jr has been good in Summer League, along with Council; the Sixers would be wise to resign him as he plays the PG position well in halfcourt

Ricky Council is the X factor off the bench. Along side of big Dre..... Nice
But they added Reggie Jackson and Caleb Martin!!! Those guys along with Eric Gordon are there for PG. remember this is no longer JUST Embiid/Maxey’s team. So Maxey kept his boys (Oubre and KJ Martin), BUT PG’s crew in Reggie Jackson and Eric Gordon are there for a reason! Drummond is there because Embiid asked for him back. He and Drummond fed off each other’s energy. Like Jokic and Jordan; McGee and D Howard on the Lakers.
we really missed out on bringing back payne or signing trent jr. its early but i dont trust McCain with nba mins. knecht was the perfect fit

As much as I like the idea of M Morris playing at home, I’m not sure he will have enough playing time. Oubre and KJ Martin earned the respect of coach, Maxey/Embiid, and the city. Also after watching videos on this Bona guy…he is a young, cheaper version of Isaiah Stewart (who I initially wanted them to trade T Harris for). He will get playing time either at center of PF for defense when Embiid does his Steph Curry impersonations.
Could be a great team
Our 41st pick Bona is so versatile on defense and will be special this year and a perfect coming oof the benchand can be on the floor with Embied or Drummond at times. His attitude towards the Defensive end is definitely what's needed and who's better to learn from then Drummond?

Sixers should play Bona backup PF
No question. I definitely see him on second team with Caleb Martin, KJ Martin, and Reggie Jackson. If I had to loose Cam Payne and Buddy Heild, it would have to be to them. Both those guys were huge impacts for teams that pushed to the finals!!!! You also add Eric Gordon and McCain and simultaneously awaken Kyle Lowry (job competition).
Bona is another undersized center that can jump. Reminds me of Clint Capella
I see the future duo of Maxey and McCain ( he will be our sniper and good passer ) than Council as a wing and Bona at the 5. We just need to find our future PF ( LA's pick)

When healthy, definitely best 3 in nba.
The main thing about that “big 3” stuff is PG is a MILLION times better than Tobias Harris. Would have loved to keep Patum, but keeping Ubre and picking up Martin is huge. They have some youth that could grow into being big help. I do think Ricky Council will be big. He’s got some dog in him. And they brought in some vets who can help grow the youth. Which they didn’t really have before. Still need another power forward, which I believe they will trade for using the KJ Martin contract and some picks.

Bobby Portis?? Wow that might upset Embiid’s comfort level as Bobby isn’t afraid to take over and shoot. Plus he is a very aggressive personality. Hoping Embiid learns from is time playing with other stars, he may just need to be a center at certain times. Not play the role of Steph Curry, Jason Tatum, and Center. Sixers has already added no nonsense tough players in PG, Caleb Martin, Reggie Jackson and Eric Gordon. These guys aren’t going to let Embiid be a pre-Madonna always asking for the ball. Him and Maxey are going to need to play team GSW-type ball. You add a Bobby Portis (which I do like) and he will hold Embiid accountable to play defense!
It looks good, bu everything depends on how well they play together. They're all talented for sure, but the best teams are greater than the sums of their parts.
They need to start Bona start at PF and Martin at SG.
Funny but Martin needs to come off the bench only droppin 10 a night.
McCain/ Edwards/Council/Caleb/ Drummond off the bench and the Sixers are fighting for the 1st or 2nd seed.

@@BixeqeShortsLowry was a bad pickup (he’s always been overrated), Gordon was a pointless pickup, we have enough guards and starting Caleb is just asking to lose the division. The only smart pick ups in FA so far has been Drummond and KJ. That starting 4 spot should be either Simmons, Lauri or DFS if the pieces fall into place. I’d hate McCain as backup PG but we have no options against actual playoff contenders. Ben, Fultz or Dinwiddie at backup PG, McCain,Council at the backup 3, Caleb or Ben at the backup 4 and Drummond as backup big is the ideal bench. I know a few of those options are big what ifs but a real fan actually from Philly (unlike most y’all white folks) don’t know the real struggle of being a diehard Sixers fan. Stay far away from the stadiums and city with those lame ass 2K jokes too.
