So I looked at this game carefully and it is in fact a checkmate on Leonard. The rook is not blocking movement, it is in line with the knight being C1 not B1. You can see the 2 spaces from the side. So he could have moved his king beside the knight, however Penny could then move her queen ending in a win still.
@@Jalbesbe That's incorrect. The rook is in fact blocking movement/cutting the king off. He is down a queen, two knights and a pawn. Penny winning is not really a surprise, Leonard should've resigned long time before that. Also Leonard has two darksquared Bishops. This is not impossible, but very unlikely. The only way to get two Bishops of the same colour, is to promote a pawn to a bishop. But this doesn't make any sense. Why would Leonard promote a Pawn to a Bishop instead of a queen, althoung he is down material? Also there is something wrong with Pennys Bishop on g4. The starting square of the white squared bishop is c1, but there is no way it could have moved to g4, as there are still pawns on e2 and g2, which would block the bishop. The only logical explenation is, that Leonard must have taken the Bishop on c1 and Penny than also would have to promote a pawn to a bishop. Lastly there are many pieces hanging in the position, which is odd. To reach this position both white and black must have made a lot of nonsense moves.

Any one who calls himself a "chess player" cannot lose to someone who is playing for the first time its just impossible no matter how much IQ the untrained person has he cannot , because its not about IQ completely it is about recognizing preplayed patterns and further moves because tactics in chess are applied by playing a move that looks "normal" or harmless but it forces the opponent player to play a move that further depletes his/her position and it is not possible for a first time player to know the chess lines of those moves and thus they can't counter it which leads to their loss
In the real game yes but they're just acting, in the real game Leonard should've seen the "kc7" move to stop checkmate but as I said that game was not real and even begginers can't find the kc7 move

2:52 Ownage! Checkmate!
Lighthouse, Horsie, Pointy Head Guy hahahaha.... Gotta love Penny!
Any one who calls himself a "chess player" cannot lose to someone who is playing for the first time its just impossible no matter how much IQ the untrained person has he cannot , because its not about IQ completely it is about recognizing preplayed patterns and further moves because tactics in chess are applied by playing a move that looks "normal" or harmless but it forces the opponent player to play a move that further depletes his/her position and it is not possible for a first time player to know the chess lines of those moves and thus they can't counter it which leads to their loss
but then again he was playing with a hot girl so he probably wasnt even focusing that much and could have subconsciously sabotaged himself
In the real game yes but they're just acting, in the real game Leonard should've seen the "kc7" move to stop checkmate but as I said that game was not real and even begginers can't find the kc7 move
It's the overconfidence what gets you. Regularly showcasing itself in the world of chess, if you think you have already won, it's a game over for you. I bet Penny went for h4.
Is your real name Sheldon, because you missed the point?
@@alisotoudeh08knight is n😊
He can’t move here cus of my lighthouse ! I’m crying ! 🤣👏
My horsey, my castle, my pointy head guy. How can you not fall in love with that.
Penny is one of the whispered from FMP lol.
wearing his tuesday pajamas! sheldon is a rebel without a cause! somebody stop him he's gone mad!
I'm just repeating BBT second time again, currently im in 7th season and i still feel the same magic like the first time i saw...
1:40 I expected Sheldon to retort with his usual "I'm not crazy, my mom had me tested."
I have realized Sheldon would have a nervous breakdown during the pandemic.
Can't get a haircut. Can't go to the comic book shop. Has to wear a mask when he goes outside...
"Penny is actually intelligent."
"Leonard sucks at chess."
*Me:* Black has two dark-squared bishops. This game is illegitimate. I thought they had smart guys on set.
Pawn promotion
@@ryanhoffman4224 Can't be. That implies Leonard underpromoted to a bishop on a dark square when he already has a dark-square bishop.
@@mcdonalds5972 Yes, that is what it implies. Why can't that be?
@@ryanhoffman4224 How can I put this in the nicest way possible...
It's fucking stupid.
@@mcdonalds5972 I agree, but things that are fucking stupid CAN exist.
“Bowel movement spreadsheet” 😂
"You playing chess like Bobby Fischer" 😂😂
This is exactly what happened when I taught my sister chess and she played for the first time 😹😹
I changed the rule and said you cannot do that 😹
The 2020 pandemic would have broken havoc on Sheldon's life, that's an interesting new season right there.
Leonards "hmmmm" was priceless 😅😅
Leonard explain it... He is crazy... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 OMG what a great line... im dying of laughter at 2 in the morning
1:36 “I’m sorry I don’t understand!” Penny.
1:39 “Leonard, explain it to her!” Sheldon.
1:41 “Oh uh, he’s crazy!” Leonard.
They see this happen alot with fighters. When your trained and practice you have a certain degree of expectations from opponents. And when a complete amateur does something either you've learned is wrong or isnt done you get caught off guard.
A good player should still wipe the floor with a beginner in chess
@@animefan7424 id say if you know the rules. Your not a beginner. The rules of a fight are clear. Win. Its fighters who have the stipulations. No kicking in boxing, etc.
i lov the way penny called the chess pieces cause thats was funny lol
I actually experienced this. A guy I really liked was teaching me to play chess, and I somehow beat him once. He stopped teaching me after that.
It’s always nice when they get the chess board set up the right way round and the icing on top it’s actually a very pretty checkmate! White rook on b1, bishop on d4 and knight on c7 with the black king on a8.
Shut up, nerd.
both of Leonard's bishops are on dark squares.....c'mon cuh!
*Girls Trying to get Guys stay out of their Bedrooms*
*Meanwhile Amy, Trying Everything She could just to Invite him in*
Ok the pointy head guy cracks me up every time!
You playing chess like Bobby fisher 😂😂
I cannot imagine Penny as a chess prodigy. The center cannot hold.
Oh.. He's crazy! 😂😂
pointy head guy n because of my light house always gets me tf 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some days I totally relate to Sheldon Cooper 😂
Had this exact same thing happen when I taught my first gf chess
Poor Leonard xxx
"He's crazy" ahahahah
"Leonard explain it to her"
"Oh.he's crazy"
