Greater London is around twice the size of greater Toronto in terms of population; 5-6 million in Toronto Vs 10-12 million in London (there are no figures for 2023 population so these are estimates based on latest census).
I think he was referring to the geographic footprint of the City of Toronto itself (not the GTA which is even bigger) not the population. Remember… the entire land mass of Great Britain would fit into Ontario 7 times.
London’s population is about 9.5 million, and that’s the whole Greater London area. Toronto’s ‘Greater Urban area is about 7 million. Toronto is a lot more spread out in terms of the size of land the city takes up, compared to London

To those who've never been there : it's actually a really nice family friendly area. Houses outnumber public housing buildings and they're neat and well maintained. Most people are either Asian, White, Hispanic and Blacks are maybe 30-40% of the population (if that). It's not a ghetto at all and the cost of living is high if you don't live in public housing. All those kids grew up together and they know each other. It's only a small number of people who want to enforce hood politics and act like they're in Detroit or Jamaica. It seems the area was worse a long time ago, but nowadays it's pretty chill. I'm not sure but I think Africans now outnumber the Caribbeans and their kids don't cause nearly as much trouble. I'd like to live there because the area has a good quality of life.
Lol you most definitely haven't been in Canada, let alone Jane & Finch. You got a whole American flag in your profile pic🤣 There is a reason why Jane & Finch has the reputation that it has, it is the very definition of "the ghetto" (Obviously not to the same extent as a St. Louis, Jackson, MS, New Orleans or any of those cities but that should go without saying). In 2020, Jane & Finch area had around 60+ shootings and 5 murders & in 2021 the area had 31+ shootings with 8 murders in the vicinity with another 6 murders last year, and that's not citywide, this is A SINGLE neighbourhood, that makes up a small area of Toronto, so I don't know where you got "family friendly" from😂 the vast majority of people who live the area, wanna move out. "Houses outnumber public housing buildings and they're neat and well maintained. It's not a ghetto at all and the cost of living is high if you don't live in public housing" - Well the video wasn't obviously talking about those people who live decently, they're talking about the people who live in the public housing, around 60% of residents live in the poverty-stricken high-rise apartments & I'm pretty sure that's not including the low-income townhouses as well, more people live in poverty than in wealth in the area. Toronto Community Housing is well known for it's bad living conditions and horrible maintenance. Bed bugs & roaches crawling everywhere, decaying parts in the building that need constant repairing, tap water not working at times etc. Toronto and the surrounding areas in the GTA are literally some of the most expensive areas to live in North America (and probably the world). The cost of living in the city has skyrocketed like crazy (INCLUDING FOR PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN PUBLIC HOUSING), along with overall crime. Thefts, robberies, car thefts, burglaries, have all increased by A LOT from last year even though 2022 was bad too. "It's only a small number of people who want to enforce hood politics and act like they're in Detroit or Jamaica. It seems the area was worse a long time ago, but nowadays it's pretty chill." - It's been well documented, that as soon as Jane & Finch was built in the late 60s/early 70s, crime was already a problem in the area, gangs were already wreaking havoc throughout the place in 1980s, those same gangs would later become Bloods/Crips, there's literally a whole Jane & Finch documentary from 1983 on here right now, which showcased the issues that the neighbourhood was facing at the time which still exist in broad day light today (robberies, murders, stabbings, shootings, drugs, gangs, single motherhood, police harassing the locals, poverty etc). You can go ahead and type in "Jane & Finch 1983" and it should come up. Africans also aren't doing too good either, Somalians, Ethiopians, Ghanaians etc. sadly also get caught up in crime too, it's not only Caribbean kids.
There was a long rivalry between Kingston and Galloway boys and the Malvern crew in Scarborough Ontario Canada. Last that I remembered there was a massive shootout and people all over the streets were shot and they ended up a resting most of the gang members on murder charges but I was in Toronto a few years ago and I seen guys with the tattoos of the crew that have been revitalized. Those kids out there been walking around with guns from 12 years old even back in the 90s and I should know 😉

I have to laugh at the assertion that Drake, who grew up in one of Toronto's wealthiest suburbs; and was a successful child actor - "JUST MADE IT OUT". Stop! And the same goes for Tory Lanez. 1990s/2000s Brampton was not rough by any stretch of the imagination.
To be fair, you could make an argument for Tory Lanez. On his Early life section on his Wikipedia page it says he was born in Brampton but he moved around the US when he was young, then permanently moved to Toronto at 15 and was forced to live on his own after his grandmother refused to take care of him and then ended up dropping out of high school at the age of 16 in the 10th grade. "I ended up moving downtown with these three dudes that I didn't really know. I came into the house and I didn't realize how things worked. From like fifteen to eighteen, I was just fighting them. It was every man for himself. That's what made me a man, having to fend for myself and being in a situation where there is no dad, no grandma and no mom to help you. I live less than an hour from Toronto and those areas of Toronto, predominantly black, were litterally the only gang areas in Ontario! In the last few years theyve been spreading to surrounding cities because the housing costs in Toronto have become unaffordable.. in canada here, it is super obvious who the criminals are , these gangsters! This is one of the stupidest shit that people say about non-American countries🤣🤣. There’s poverty and broken homes everywhere in Canada (or anywhere in the world for that matter), and where there's poverty, there's crime and with crime, comes gangs and organized crimes. Gangs in Canada have been around before people saw the American gangster lifestyle on TV and in mainstream music, it's not about wanting to copy Americans, idk where people got that from. @@kyzersosa2646 Yea, gangs are usually in it for their rivals and if u don't interfere you'll be good. Been around the area and not scary.
Greater London is around twice the size of greater Toronto in terms of population; 5-6 million in Toronto Vs 10-12 million in London (there are no figures for 2023 population so these are estimates based on latest census).
Population in Toronto is under 3 mil it’s only 5-6 mil if u include other cities nearby and consider it “greater Toronto area/gta”
I think he was referring to the geographic footprint of the City of Toronto itself (not the GTA which is even bigger) not the population. Remember… the entire land mass of Great Britain would fit into Ontario 7 times.
And ?
London’s population is about 9.5 million, and that’s the whole Greater London area. Toronto’s ‘Greater Urban area is about 7 million. Toronto is a lot more spread out in terms of the size of land the city takes up, compared to London
Super impressed by the knowledge u show G keep it up
Miss eating dinner on my balcony table in 2801 Jane street on the 15th floor facing east, watching the Yonge street sky line all the way down to the lake and CN tower, listening to the gun shots, pow pow pow in 05-06, was great, especially when I had a bigger one like the 30-06 Remington. 😂😂
I lived few blocks from jane finch, some wonderful people. But downtown is far more scary and crack addicts on ttc in downtown scares me more
To those who've never been there : it's actually a really nice family friendly area.

Yep, and now he acts all gangsta.
Pretty much 99% of shootings are by these guys with illegal guns smuggled over the border.. anyone who says that blacks are unfairly targeted and that's why they take up the lions share of the prison system, stop being so damn naive! Toronto = "The I wanna be a American city so bad". SMH
Street gangs aren't an only American thing😂
