Everyone is cheering on team rectum even if they don’t admit it!
True. Because what goes in needs to come out again, right? 😊
yes!! this guy is like that employee that people don't notice until they take a time off.
Sure..
😭😭
Do you have a pterygium that already passed the limbus and invaded the iris ?
So sorry, I'm just worried.
Sorry, placenta wins for sure. Y'all better reign it in.
I have to agree. Placentas are necessary to create miracles. It’s like an all in one organ for the baby.
1:01 Aren't all organs biodegradable once you're done with them? 😆
@@katie17330I am unsure if their biodegradable but I know placentas can be eaten but if that grosses you out they can dry it out then placing it capsule form. If I were more educated on that matter I so would've turned my placenta into capsules after I gave birth to my son in 2011🤗
Placenta, the only organ that can help create a human and let a human survive in water for months on end without food, water or oxygen
Nah, I like the mammary gland because it produces milk that goes through the milk duct and out to the nipple so the baby can get its food/nutrition from the parent who gave birth to them. The nipple is a close second, because sometimes the baby doesn't want or need food/nutrion, but just closeness and being comforted by their parent. (I would say "mom", but there are trans men and nonbinary people who give birth too, and/or, who breastfeed)
If it don't work, it's okay to bottle feed your baby, as long as you're being close to your child. It needs all the attention, love, nurture and physical affection, in order to survive. So my favorite is the mammary glands. Even if it doesn't produce milk, there's at least the potential of being able to do it. So there's at least that. Bottlefeeding is totally okay. ❤️
Next time I’ll say the uvula!
Besides you saying skin was reasonable because you are a plastic surgeon
hello youn.
Woo hoo Dr. mike getting a comment from Dr Youn
are you dr. Park in the good doctor? he looks just like you
@i what the f-
When you can't pee, pee too much or have a peegasm, you'll believe me!
Whats a peegasm-
@@lost_inspace6080 you really don't know? 😂
I have a feeling that peegasm is a euphemism for something. 🤔
My mom, sister, and I are prone to UTIs and having your bladder not function properly is so awful. The worst pain of my life so far has been when an infection just barely started getting into my kidneys. You are not meant to feel your kidneys exist.
P.S. I actually got a UTI two days ago and am on meds currently. 💀
@@inuyasha13damn I feel very sorry for you I hope you get better
I living for this series! 🤣
Frrr
so when did the skin end up on the inside of the body? Should I be worried?
@@captain42809 If you think about it, most of your skin (dermis and hypodermis/subcutaneous layer) is in the body but what I think she was trying too tell is that we get many warnings and other reactions on our skin that can tell us what's going on inside of our body
fr i just love seeing this its entertaining and also teaching me stuff

You gotta do another one for cells. It'd be fun to hear the reasons why doctors like a certain cell type.
Hell yeah
This would be FASCINATING
@Don't Read My Profile Picture I did
That may be a really hard choice but it would be interesting
For me it's macrophages, and not even close.
Thanks for having me again, representing anesthesiologists 🙏🏾!
Well thank you and all anesthesiologists for taking away our pain!
I've had babies with and without an anesthesiologist present, and I can tell you which I prefer by a huge margin.
I’m a regional anesthesiologist (nerve block specialist). Jokingly I stated bones because Orthos love fixing fractures (“there’s a fracture and I need to fix it” iykyk lol) and I love reducing pain. Didn’t want to say the obvious “brain”, but it’s truly the best imo. Fun fact, we still don’t truly know how some anesthetics work 🤯. The brain is a very mysterious/interesting organ.
It was interesting hearing you talk about nerve blocks since I had one about a week ago. I had a surgery called a peri-acetabular osteotomy (PAO) so I was in the hospital for a few days. Anesthesiologists and very underappreciated. My anesthesiologist changed medications and plans for my surgery last minute to try and avoid the severe hypotension I had last time. And it helped I think.
It was so nice seeing a huge portion of the medical community on youtube appear in this video!! We need more of these collabs!
Haha yesss

Hi
Last year I said I'm going to be a nursing student, and now I'm actually officially a nursing student!! 🥺 You became one of my biggest influenced and inspiration for going in the medical field. I can't wait to become a licensed and registered nurse. I'll get back to you again. Here and will proudly say that I did it, Dr. Mike!!
Being a med- student myself, I understand the feeling. I just hope that you will be a great nurse & very successful in your life 💕
@@fizzytarrun thank you 🥺🫶🏻
Congratulations!!
My favorite is actually a complete system: The Immune system, with all the organs and cells included: Bone marrow, Thymus, Lymph nodes, Spleen, tonsils, and secondary lymphoid organs...it is just amazing!!! 😍😍😍
Me too!! I love the bone marrow
yes another immunity lover lol
immune system is cool but you still die which is evil
omg same!
I love how Dr Mike just brings together the whole health community on CZcams. ❤
It would be hilarious if you did this again, but this time asked about their LEAST favorite organ. The organ that is the most often to make them say, "Damnit, not THIS a**hole acting up again and causing problems!" 😅
My apologies to Team Rectum for my phrasing. 😋
The spleen and other minor 🔞 organs would get pretty much all the hate.
🤣🤣
@@punishanpika don't forget the appendix
Did they should def do this and maybe how often it comes in for complications/injuries 😂
Always love to see all these doctors come together as one team. We learn so much even from these shorter vids cuz of the info packed in it. Shoutout to all of them and their individual fields!
So glad this became a series!
Also, really appreciate the editing that went into it, feels dynamic and five minutes fly by in an instant
Makes me appreciate how hard all our organs work, and how much they all cooperate and work together just to keep us going.
It'd be hard to pick a favorite and I'd prefer to consider it more of an ensemble cast where every individual part is equally as important. The total is greater than the sum of the parts.
Yes the spinal cord!
Having a spinal cord injury I can definitely say from my experience the spinal cord is very important and connects to a lot of functions that I did not think about before paralysis. SCI's are crazy and each one is so unique. The spinal cord is so vulnerable yet so valuable and multifunctional.
I’m early for the first time so I wanted so say…
Dr Mike,
I am a premed student and you are such an inspiration to me. Your ability to provide nuance to heated discussions and you’re dedication to holistic care is incredible. Thank you.
This was waaaaaayyy more interesting and entertaining than i thought it would be
Three Peewoops to the early squad.😂😂 Thank you, Dr. Mike. You're an inspiration to me as a med student and an aspiring creator
I never knew how entertaining asking to the doc youtube a random question could be. I feel educated, entertained and also happy and I don't even know why. Maybe it's the fact that he brought this community closer
Do more videos like this ! I love seeing this ❤ My favorite organ tbh is the bone marrow ( not sure if it’s an Organ 😅) that’s where all the RBC, WBC, and Platelets are formed which is also very important because it can help with blood clots, fight sickness, and provide oxygen to all the organs. I love learning about it
my favorite organs r the stomach and the uterus
stomach bc i love to eat
uterus bc an entire life form grows in there. all of us grew in a uterus, every single cell was formed in there. its so beautiful to know theres a little human in there that were soon able to hold and actually talk to and watch grow
Another brilliant collaborative video Doctor Mike - now I'm really interested for a video about Doctors' LEAST favourite organs
This video right here. The world needs more of these exact videos. A simple, easy, and understandable way to learn major concepts of the human body and their importance in a fun way.
I love this new thing you are doing doc! ❤ Getting all the doctors to come together, share their expertise and fun personalities is really very enjoyable and exciting!
We want morr😜😍
We appreciate Dr Mike's dedication and hard work over the years. He truly is the best at what he does.
I love the super collabs. It's so cool seeing everyone's opinions and stuff.
Imagine having a heart and a brain and saying the mesentery is your favourite organ 😭😭
I just wanted to tell you that whenever you upload I have to call my best friend and tell her! You’re by far my favorite youtuber
Always reliable, factual, and entertaining content, keep up the good work!
Without mentioning any of the ones shown here, j have to say the Kidney. Such a small pair of beans that help cleaning up our body by turning waste into urine and send it to the bladder, is awesome. Also the fact that even if you have one kidney, you can live normally, so that's also what earned the organ a few extra points
Shout out to the kidneys for sure. They work in such a complex way too. Took me so long in physiology to incompletely understand such phenomenal organs.
They also house Adernal Glands
I personally love the spinal cord - I was always taught it is the communicator of the body, making sure the brain is constantly in clear communication with every bit of you ... down to your toes! Without that communication we lose the ability to heal naturally in minor situations, our brain wouldn't be able to tell the body to send extra blood flow to whatever is in pain, and can you imagine the chaos that causes when things don't communicate right?
Loved this video, Dr Mike! Literally was smiling all the way through, so enjoyable to see docs excited about organs!
3:56 GREAT EVIDENCE!! 😂😂
Sorry what.. today I learnt we had more then like 10 organs in the body 😅 just went on a googling rampage.. that was a wild ride 😅
Thymus - it's an entire military training center in your body and provides you some of the strongest cells and immune defense you can have. Without it, you're way more susceptible to deadly infections
All i have to say as a young to be doctor is the body is harmonious in its function and relies on other organs to do its job. The human anatomy and physiology is complex, intertwined, and more importantly, relient on each other. All organs deserve their place in the body and without even most of them, you wouldn't be able to lead the happy life you are leading today 💝
0:30 😂😂 this is funny reaction.
Doctor Mike is actually such a great guy! His content is actually fire🔥! Great video, I hope he is able to keep up these great video ideas!!!!!
Good job getting this group together! 👏 All you doctors are busy, it couldn't have been easy! Keep up the good work inspiring others to learn more about our bodies!
This video is like Avengers movie for all med students. ❤
There's always something new to learn. I didn't even know in my language that we have an organ called mesentery. I checked the translation, and I have to admit that I never heard that term in my language either. So, thank you again @doctor Mike for making me know a new term and his function in two different languages today!
Really like u asking other doctors and collabing different things
What a wonderful collaborative video once again! I wish Dr. Daniel Rubinshtein had made an appearance though.
Question: how can the liver be taken care of besides avoiding alcohol and eating healthily?
I absolutely enjoy watching your
videos!
Best vibes to you Dr. Mike and to all your hard working team!
Wait I didn't realize we had an organ that holds our organs together... I thought they were just floating in there 😂
Yeah I know lol
as an aspiring GI specialist the rectum and the intestines are my favorites, they’re just so cool!!!
CZcams doctors are actually great content creators!
I'll do one too. Mine is blood, but specifically the platelet part. I still get amazed by how it does it job of clotting when we get injured.
Blood makes it possible for the oxygen (and other materials) to be distributed around the entire body.
But my 1st would be the brain because it does a lot of things. And it is very conplex. As a psychology student, I cannot wrap my head around (pun not intended) how our behavior and personality are contained in this organ, and not only do executive functions but like a lot of other things.
Amazing as usual
Fun Video =) Add one more day to your upload calendar bro
I saw the title briefly and thought “to harvest??” For some reason.
All I heard in this video was to appreciate every part of my body because it works in so many ways I don't understand! I have a special love for my body as its own autonomous unit. After attempting suicide, I was so angry that I, you know, lived. And it's taken me YEARS to understand that I lived because this body - my body - was and always will be fighting for me to be healthy, be happy, and be safe. And I know that I'm the same thing as my body, but... that's a comforting thought.
No one said my favorite. The kidney!!!! It help filter out waste from the blood keeping the rest of the body healthy and is a huge part of the RAAS. Helping regulate PH and blood pressure.
Mine’s the stomach!! The stomach lining is SUPER important. Without that precious layer of mucus, your stomach would ingest itself. Hydrochloric acid is extremely powerful stuff, and that’s why it’s important to protect your stomach lining!! (No heavy drinking, taking it easy on the NSAIDs, etc)
It’s so nice to see all the doctors being so enthusiastic about there favourite organ. It’s not a Question they are regularly asked( 🤔 not sure but ig ) so it’s nice to know. Also I say that the stomach is my favourite organ cause why not 🙂
Seriously? Not a single doctor said kidneys? That's sad seeing as you can't live without at least one. As someone who is on dialysis and needs a kidney transplant, I can confidently say that people don't think about their kidneys until it's too late. So remember to drink lots of water, avoid high sodium foods, and talk to your doctor if you have a history of kidney issues in your family.
I mean, we even come with a spare!
Absolutely 100% the skin. Definitely the most underrated and taken for granted part of your body. Not only does it protect you from everything outside but it also senses pain, pressure, temperature, etc. And has to keep up its appearance.
This video reminds me again of how amazing the human body really is
ahh... liver? just a few years ago I got to know my father has hepatitis B.
he was infected by a used syringe while donating blood.
he does not drink and not does do any drugs(never did thanks to his mothers promise since childhood).
he's in the border force(BSF) and I belive he's learning from there always kept him focused on taking care of his body and mind. just the previous month I went for a checkup and got to know he is very fine. doctor appreciated him for maintaining his health.
he is my biggest inspiration. ❤
The uterus is my favorite organ. All other organs develop and emanate from there. Without the uterus, none of us would be here, having this discussion.
Gg man gg
Thanks for this video. It was a lot of fun to watch.
I love all the effort you put into your content Mike. Thank you for taking your time and energy into these videos. I’ve enjoyed watching them. You are so engaging and I’m learning many things. Keep at it! Peewoop!
Sooooo cool!!! Thanks for sharing this "organs video" with all your friends offering their faves, Dr. Mike. My fave is eyes , they determine everything the body does. Have a great holiday 🤓🎉
I don’t have a favourite organ because everyone of them are important and I don’t wanna miss any of them 😂
As someone who has a pancreas that doesn’t work 🥲 yep if one organ is out of balance it can affect everything else
My favorite organ is the lymph node! It is the backbone of the specificity of the immune system, allowing mutations to take place in B-cells, and making them functional to act and produce antibodies (all of that happens in lymph node!)
If we’re allowed to choose glands as organs, I’d go with the pineal gland. It’s rather mysterious in a way and is responsible for shots of DMT. I also imagine it had a big role in dreaming and imagination and creativity.
This is one of my favorite videos on the internet currently 🥰🥰🥰
Never thought of the placenta as a top organ but I’m pretty convinced now. Probably tied with the liver for my number 2 spot, they both do so many jobs and you gotta love a multitalented worker (still gotta put the brain at #1 as a future neurologist)
I love watching dr mike I learn new things every day
Liver is the best. No contest 😊
What an awesome video. The human body is so amazing. You should do a video on physiology.

How odd that someone whose name is an anagram of "brain" has the brain as his favorite organ...
I was wondering if anyone was going to say the mesentery, so I was SO EXCITED that it was your pick! Such a beautiful organ that does such amazing things.
My favorite organ..... Dr. Mike 😌
I have to say i really enjoy information like this! Makes me appreciate my body in new ways, and helps dealing with hating the way it _looks_ 💕
Keep up the good work!
love this video!
What this video has taught me is that I truly never knew what an organ actually was
Dude my anatomy professor was OBSESSED with the mesentery! Granted he was a general surgeon for over 50 years
How are bones, spine and teeth organ
Can you explain this in more detail

I choose the blood. It gives so much clue about the health of a patient.
79 organs in the human body, and bro chose the rectum💀💀

So?
@@lambsauce6784gay
I love how passionate and enthusiastic they are
Question: Why are most disorders involved in behavior dismissed as a personality trait?
Thank you!
THE BRAIN!! (Yes, as a clinical psych student im biased) all of the other organs rely on it too! Spinal cord is pretty cool too!
My favorites are the heart, brain, and reproductive organs. I know how bad that looks, but I admit the mechanics of sex geniunely fascinate me. Especially with how deeply involved how our minds/brains are with it.
Informative and very cute to hear everyone defend their favourites!
Bro choosing favorite human body part as if he's choosing his favorite part of chicken to eat 💀
Yay, we got series!
I'm sure a mesentery is your spirit animal.
My favouite let be _testes_ because it's normal to appreciate the most what I don't have.
Rectum nearly killed him 😂😂
Great video!! Keep it up
1:18 . weird, i can't tell the difference.
just an FYI - you can still lose your teeth if you brush everyday😭 I lost mine due at 19, and still needing more removed ( almost done ). I brushed so much stomach acid into my teeth after getting really sick from stomach ulcers I destroyed my teeth. “Make sure you brush your teeth” just rubs me the wrong way when tooth loss can still happen😅 3:26
"From a doctor licensed in the US; Learn more about how experts define health sources" Oh hey! That's the first time I've seen a CZcams banner that was a positive endorsement instead of a warning/caution. Congrats, Doctor Mike!
Hey doctor Mike! If I had to choose one organ that’s my favorite it would probably be the bones. The reason is because without the bones, we would be a total and complete blob on the floor, and like the doctor said in the video. All of our organs would just be floating all over the place bc there’s no bones to support it!! Thanks for being the best doctor ever! I’ve learned so much from you!! Hope you’re doing amazing!❤❤
Wasn't your favourite organ the brain?🧠🧠
This is my favorite Dr. Mike content because I also follow some of the other doctors here in youtube lol. It’s like watching Avengers Infinity War for Doctors 😂
This is such a good video idea and all the answers had good reasons to back them up!
