The University of California, Riverside (UCR or UC Riverside) is a public land-grant research university in Riverside, California. It is one of the ten campuses of the University of California system. In 1907, the predecessor to UCR was founded as the UC Citrus Experiment Station, Riverside which pioneered research in biological pest control and the use of growth regulators responsible for extending the citrus growing season in California from four to nine months. Some of the world's most important research collections on citrus diversity and entomology, as well as science fiction and photography, are located at Riverside. UCR is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities - Very high research activity.

Graduating from UCR this Spring of 2023. It's been nothing but a blessing to attend here. Tons of research opportunities on cutting-edge technology. Most professors are cool, and the education is rigorous. Learn how to utilize campus resources, they are your biggest ally. Tons of fruit trees around that you're free to pick from and eat; even some UCR-designed citrus fruits!

Got into UCR and a few other schools! I think I will attend UCR for political science! I haven’t been able to tour the campus in person yet but I am glad i could get a virtual tour and I will probably commit here!!!

My son has been watching your videos. I believe you covered some of the schools he applied. He got accepted at St. John's University, Seton Hall, Loyola University Chicago, Duquesne, Saint Louis University, Marist, Earlham, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State LA, UC Riverside and UC Merced.
Glad to hear that! Did he decide which one he is going to attend or not yet?
@CampusMania , Cal Poly Pomona is the cheapest because it's just 20 minutes bus ride and be a commuter. But we're willing to entertain what the privates can offer but we have very good publics as a leverage.
Congrats to your son! My niece is trying to decide between UC Santa Cruz, UC Merced and UC Riverside as a biology major. Tough choice.
@Jeah1911 , UC Santa Cruz for us is out of the question. They can only guarantee one year of housing. After that you’re on your own finding affordable housing in that very expensive area. That's exactly what we are dealing right now finding housing for our daughter in very expensive La Jolla. She'll be a junior at UC San Diego.
