Campus Crawl is a new series where I take you to tour the top universities around the world. So you can eliminate the fear of going to college and decide where you want to go. Or just get a wider perspective on elite student life.
Many dreams were made and crushed here. To get into MIT Engineering is insanely difficult, but at least you can now appreciate their campus! After touring the whole MIT campus, I fell in love with their technology vibe. Every student I talked to is technically adept. They can build anything they can think of. I love that. Also, the school has all the tech necessarily to support students' projects. They have limitless room to create.

as a mere mortal who isn't some child prodigy, attending a local college for computer science and mathematics from a developing nation with a moderate family income, this is like looking, through a window, at a life that I'll probably never have. Still, it kinda inspires me to work harder and teach myself more from books and online resources cause I didn't get the opportunity to attend this type of college.
Man, this explains exactly what I was thinking as I watched this.
You don't need to be a child prodigy to get in. I had a friend who wasn't a child prodigy but he loved science and made me love it too! He told me science was just observation and common sense, and you don't need high IQ for that! Science will embrace anyone who's willing to observe and research :)
I love harvard & MIT but you see we can't hv it all maybe you can prep ur kids for this institutions! By the way its nt about the school but about the individual

@@bindassbol9366 Out of all the schools I listed, I only applied to USC, UCLA, and Princeton. I got into UCLA, rejected USC, and haven't heard from Princeton

@@bindassbol9366 I wouldn't say I had anything that stood out, I applied purely through luck cause I'm in'tl. My ec's were mostly family responsibilities so I wrote my essays on how it made me be able to take charge and learn new skills which helped me in everyday situations. I had a 3.9 (we don't do unweighted or weighted), I wasn't top of my class-- maybe like in 15% and I went SAT optional. Take my application with a grain of salt cause I still don't know how I got in or why but hopes that helps.
Right now, I'm only in middle school, but MIT is my dream university. I really hope that I can get in when the time comes...
Do a lot of extracurricular activities that you love to do. All universities love the fact that you will go many distances for your passion.
