Blatantly Obvious Stealth Car Camping

- First adventure in the estate car camper for a proper night stealth camping in a very exposed spot.
The free camp site for the night had heavy traffic and very minimal cover, but I managed to park up in a blatantly obvious UK lay-by, hopefully I don't get caught stealth camping!
We are now into spring but it was quite a chilly night, I have no heating in the car but I try to stay warm sleeping in my 3 season sleeping bag.
I went for a budget car camping setup for beginners with minimal camping and cooking equipment using rechargeable batteries and a small power bank for electric.
If you are new to the car camping life uk or building a micro camper I hope you will find this living in a car camp useful.

i recently travelled wales for a week in my 120d lol. just put all the rear seats down and inflated a air mattress in the boot so it filled the space. little camping stove and my staffie with me was bliss. happy camping people

Just a tip for the condensation aswell, if you get some wind deflectors on the car you can then leave the windows cracked open and you wont get condensation 💪

Great vids, I don’t live so far away in north Norfolk so recognise a few of the areas. I’m planning to get a camper at some point and inspired to do a bit of stealth camping!

Thank you very much, I love north Norfolk but it's getting to be not very camping friendly 😓 yes stealth camping is good fun, van is ideal for the extra room. I'll be out in my van camping next week!

@@rikdent775 also have seen some good stuff about roof tents! Maybe not very stealth but a nice option if you have a big enough roof
@leowoodbridge755 my only concern is cars roof bars ain't made for that kind of weight, also only really good for campsites as you're a bit vulnerable up there at night.
Your video has inspired me to start car camping.
I'm binge watching your videos as you're living the life I want to live.
The jump starter pack is a fantastic idea.
Can I ask you a couple of questions about it?
Can you charge it while you're driving along from the cigarette lighter?
How low a percentage can it go and still be able to jump start a car?
For example if I was to run it down to 50% while charging my phone would that still be enough to jump start a flat battery?

They are awesome jump packs, takes about 10% of the battery to jump start a car so it's last ages. A phone would use hardly any power at all like a few percent
Need to get your self a steering wheel tray for when you eating or making food
I have a 3 spoke steering wheel, I've looked at them but not sure if they'll fit?

If I pushed the passenger seat further forward you could easily fit, definitely recommend an estate for car camping or an SUV.

I meant to say it's illegal to wild camp in England kinda frowned upon camping in your car with the old bill
