You bounced up pretty quick! Glad you are okay! Thanks for your review.
Glad you enjoyed it, Thanks for watching. :):)
Glad you were ok and no damage to the bike. Keep up the great videos, I enjoy them.
Thank you and thanks for watching. :)
LOL, in my many spills, the first thing I always wondered is "how's my bike?"
One of the best reviews. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for the feeddback It's much appreciated And thanks for watching.:)
Mike - great video. Just purchased this bike using your link! Thanks for the great review!
WOW that's great I really appreciate you using my affiliate link. THANKS A BUNCH 👍
Nice little spill, and glad you didn't get hurt. Gloves are a must even in good weather IMO. Actually it makes sense to some degree to do what you did which is practice some emergency moves like that skid to stop. Kids get great at riding their bikes by skidding and doing all sorts of maneuvers that could result in them falling. That's one way of learning the handling characteristics of the bike and their limits of controlling it. Big kudos to you for being a winter warrior and riding in freezing weather!
Thanks a bunch also thanks for watching. I really appreciate your feedback. :) I never thought about it like that, I feel like you're giving me a lot more credit than I deserve on that fall :):)
Yup, I'm a big proponent of bicycling gloves in all seasons to save the hands in the event of a fall. The only little catch is that during the sunny months, which are quite a few in Southern California, my hands can stay markedly lighter than my arms/legs. 🥴 I've taken quite a few spills in my cycling adventures (including mountain biking) and the hands have almost always been the first to hit the pavement or dirt (thankfully) and gloves have saved them from a lot of scrapes.
@@coastdaze748 So true. And the gloves I use without the fingertips are worse because your fingertips gets tan...lol
But they shue do help if you fall.
Thanks for thanking the time to comment:):)
Hi Mike, glad your okay, nice bike👍👍
Thank you, Good reason why I always wear a helmet. Thanks for watching. :)
Hey Mike, I have the same bike I review on my channel with 1800 miles. You can see we have similar upgrades and I have done several tests. You’re brave to have the drone up while riding! I have the same one also. You’re also brave to go out in that cold!
Thanks a bunch, For some reason I thought I was a teenager again skidding the bike sideways..lol
I took a look I definitely feel I have seen your videos in the past. Some beautiful weather in Florida bet it's nice to ride all year. Hope you had a chance to subscribe:) Also congratulations looks like you're doing really well on subscribers :)
@@mikerochester Thank you!! Channel growing bit by bit! Yes, this is the best time of year to ride!
@@themarvelofe-bikes3052 I can't wait till spring and summer to do some longer distance stuff.
I like your Aventure videos. I'm a fellow owner in Binghamton, NY.
That's great Thanks for watching.
The Aventure is such a solid bike.
Ouch! 😂😂😂 Thanks for the insight!
Glad you enjoyed it. :)
So glad you are ok.
Thanks.... I should have stopped when I was ahead.:)
Love my Aventure, solid ride. Be careful out there dude.
I haven't done any of them skids since I was a teenager. LoL.
The bike can handle a rather gnarly crash too. lol. Ive had several cars try to turn right through me and went down with one of them. only scratched the brake lever on the right side. I also went over the handle bars when the gravel road I was riding on turned to fluffy flour like silt and the bike just sank into the dust and stopped instantly from about 20 mph lol.Luckily no injuries either time. Love my Aventure.
Wow, be careful. That's why it's so important to always have on a helmet. I never wore one until I got an e-bike. I got such a good view of my fall because I happen to have the drone in the air while I was trying to skid like a teenager on my bike lol.. but these brakes are very durable. My wife fell on hers at a pretty good speed she did hurt her shoulder for a few months but luckily nothing more serious than that.
Hey mike. Strongly looking at the aventon adventure 2. It looks like my body frame is similar ( hopefully I look more graceful in that fall) lol. 5”11 200# max level at the med size frame. Would suggest the large frame. Good video nice recovery. Tim from Missouri
I am also 5"11 but 255lbs I prefer to feel a little bit smaller on a bike than bigger but that's just personal preference I think either or is probably going to be good for you or you could just go by the recommended size chart. PS I'm working on falling more gracefully in the future. Please feel free to use one of my links if you like :)
I have just over a thousand miles on my Aventure and the brakes are still great. Tires are gonna need replacing before my brakes I think. And I like the cadence sensor.... bad knees make me not want the torque sensor.
That's amazing. Think we need to find out what those brake pads are. :) I see people replacing brake pads much sooner then that. :)
Where are those links for accessories? I love the dual bike bag between you and the handlebars!.
Below is my affiliate link for the bike bags..thanks
I really like this one

Glad you are ok, crazy how we always pop back uplike nothing happened...Men!
Lol... So true. I probably popped up so quick cuz I thought someone was watching. :)
The vast majority of my riding is at lower speeds and on flat ground here on the west coast of central Florida. But it’s not unusual for me to ride at high speeds on busy roads and brake heavily. My bike has over 2,400 miles on it and the brakes are completely original and still work fine. But I’ve been considering rebuilding them anyway as a preventative measure. I’d imagine for folks that ride on hilly or mountainous terrain they’re going to wear out their brakes much faster.
Now that's really impressive. We do have a lot of up and down hills here I tend to ride the break on the way down if it's really steep.
Thanks for your feedback and checking out the video. :)
Glad you are ok...
Thank you, I should have known better.
This is a 1-year-old video therefore I can comment. I have a magic cycle cruiser.😊 since March 28th 2023 I've had 14 surgeries because of accidents while riding this bike. It has toppled off a cliff and fell 200 feet to the desert floor.without me on it👍 and it's been run over by a car , it has been slammed onto the pavement and it is still a solid machine. 💯 no damage ,a few scratches. I think it's the best bike made. You escaped injury, thats awesome for you. 🤏 be extra careful in the rain/snow. I broke, but the bike never broke.MAGICYLE CRUISER STEP THRU. Good video, I'm glad I ran across it.🙋 4384 miles.
Wow glad you're able to tell the story! Glad your ok.
Hi Mike, thank you for your videos. Why did you change to Aventon from Himiway?
I have both, I did a review on each. Actually had the Aventure first. Thanks for watching.:)
I watched the whole video waiting to see you fall. LOL Glad you are ok. Thanks for the video
LoL... thanks for watching. Hope you had a chance to subscribe:) planing on doing a bunch of videos this summer.
XLNT editing, Mike! How does the bike do on drier streets?
Thanks for the kind words. It handles great one of the best I've ridden. You can tell the difference when you ride an Aventon bike.
I have a confession to make. When I saw the picture you posted for your video, I fast forward to see you wipe out. I watched it several times, thanks for the laugh.😂😂😂
I'm glad you didn't get hurt, now go make another wipe out video for us. 😂
LoL..... I did also 😂😂😂😂
It's nice to see someone in my area that ride ebikes. I'm near brockport ny an just bought 2 new lectric 3.0s and can't wait to get out and ride them.
Glad you didn't get hurt.
That sounds great Good luck you'll have a great time with them. I'm planning on putting together a Facebook page and may do like an e-bike ride locally so keep a lookout if you'd be interested.
@@mikerochester that sounds great 👍 please keep me in mind. Thank you
@@hosscartwright6681 Will do also check back with me.... PS like your CZcams name :)
Any plans to test a full suspension fat bike like the KKBike ? KK Bike is actually less $$ than the Aventure 2. But the quality control of the KK seems less than Aventure...
Sounds interesting however currently I do not have any plans on testing one. If the demand is high enough they may reach out and want me to review one for them :) Thanks for watching and your comment.
Gotta push the bike to the limits.. It seams like you and the bike held up good..
Lucky:)
@@mikerochester Can't beat luck... The bike does seam like it is built pretty good..
Wow, pulled a Joe! Glad your ok!
Thanks for watching:)
What a great fall and save! 😃
Thanks, I'm not a kid anymore so could have been worse.
@@mikerochester 🙃 I'm not a kid anymore either, but I've had some epic spills in my bicycling adventures, including being sideswiped by a minivan. It's just a matter of riding as safe as you can...accidents can happen when you're out there. But the alternative of staying home off my bike is unacceptable to me. 😊
@@coastdaze748 WOW... Hope you are okay or at least there now

I have the same bike and it's been a great bike Ihad a brake issue and Aventon sent me new brakes for both wheels.
It's a great bike and a lot of fun. Glad they were able to help you resolve your brakes issue.
Thanks for watching :)
Are you from Rochester New York?
Hi Tim my email address is in the description if you would like to reach out:) but yes I live in upstate NY
Enjoyed your video Mike. I'm not at all anti-Ebike but I just have to shake my head when I see all of his 500 mile reviews, like that is some kind of great milestone. 500 miles isn't anything on a acoustic bike let alone a motorized bike. When to get around 5000 miles let me know.
Thanks for the kind words. That's some serious riding you do :). Many people do enjoy the small milestones as well as the big ones. Many people are new to e-bikes and may not be as in tune with maintenance and different things that goes along with owning one and enjoy the information.
Thanks again for watching and hope you had a chance to subscribe.:)
Hey Dave, As a previous motorcycle rider myself, I agree with you in some respects but ebikes have more things that can go wrong with them than acoustic bikes. And since many ebikes being sold aren't from extremely well known companies with huge support infrastructures, a 500 mile update is helpful to people considering the bike from a reliability standpoint.
@@EuropaWill some of the maintenance according to the owner's manuals start much sooner than 500 mi. I think I'm just waiting for something to indicate it needs some work first probably not the best method :)
@@mikerochester one of the items I'm considering to get for my Vitilan is an enclosed chain cleaner. Grit on the chain will put plenty of wear on it and the gears. What are the maintenance milestones for your bike?
@@EuropaWill A lot of the bike manufacturers call for you to start greasing the bikes pretty immediately after a few months.
Mike, just where are you located?

We all get knocked down sometimes right.
Lol.....It's also nice when we jump right back up.

I only have 3 levels on mine exact bike
You sure it's a 500.3 ?
How long have you had it?
@@mikerochester your right it has five assists but when i am riding it only goes to 3 I’ll have to check it again when I ride. Thank you for your quick response
@@Choosekindness880 No problem That would be a first. The 500.3 (this is the 3rd generation of this bike) uses four levels of pedal assist no longer numbered. Now are eco, tour, sport and turbo.
If not contact Aventon support.
Maybe I should have told them I have an e bike CZcams channel, I told them of my broken front brake cylinder and they did not even talk to me anymore.... I had throno issues... For other major issues....
And they just quit talking to me...
Before you buy the rebike ask him to put the warranty in writing... You will find that they won't... And there's the truth.
I told them I would spread my word of how evident treatment me...
Not quite sure I understand but they did replace my fender with no problem.
I don’t know if I’m the only one who thinks that, but 500 miles is REALLY not that much. I don’t understand the big fuss about having done only 500 miles without experiencing any problems. For me it’s just normal for an ebike in that price range.
Thanks for your feedback and taking the time to comment.
You correct it's not that big of a milestone but it is a milestone. Some of asked for an update.:)
Man its endless what you can spend on these bikes , the components are mediocre at best , but its a fast ebike , look at Yeti or Pivot ebikes if you wanna spend some bread 😂
They can get quite Pricey, but they're sure are a blast.
