Watching your previous video and this notification popped up ⬆️
I can’t wait to buy my rs3
The sound and the current setup is already mint!
It’s about to get better ;)
I agree with your thoughts got Racingline springs on my MK7 GLI
Just saw your RS3 outside European Automotive when I was picking up my RS3! They just installed my EMD springs along with adjustable sway bar and end links. Once we're both settled I'd love to compare the difference!
Nice! I was gonna go with emd but in the end decided to go with h&r like him cause they go lower. I'm getting the springs and sway bars installed soon. How do u like the lowering with the EMDs??
@@mike786551 The drop is actually about the same, the biggest difference is that the EMD springs are not progressive. After reading a bunch about the H&R springs, I decided to go EMD because they're linear. So far I love it, very little change in ride quality from OEM on magride.
Haha what a small world! Yeah for sure I’m down!
@@SmittStarr did you have to get the Mag ride re-calibrated after? Where do you have them installed?
@@marklockwood399 European Automotive Oakville. They did the recalibration too.
Nice bro keep it up 🤟
Thanks bro🙏🏻
Looks nice! I think maybe it's time for a front CF lip!
On the way ;)
@@LifeOfOliver1 can't wait!!!
My B9 S5 did that same thing after I lowered it, you need to get an alignment and your toe aligned. 💪
Hmm maybe I’ll give that a try!
Also getting coilovers deletes your drive select (for the suspension) i guess. It nice to have comfort and aggressivenes at a flick of a switch. Loved the video
I have the fixed sport suspension anyways so I won’t have dampening either way ;)
They have some paddle replacements on Amazon that replace the whole paddle! Cost 25$ USD for the golf R. Also took like 5 mins haha
Ooh and love that Hilton when I come visit from NYC haha
You mean the dsq ones? Do they fit on this?
The feeling you feel is with the springs hitting bumps is how I feel sometimes with my 2013 mustang. It has solid rear axle and going around corners hitting bumps is sketchy when the whole rear end goes up and feels like it’s going to spin out behind me
i have an S3 with H&R sport springs, also have that issue of when you hit a bump taking a corner decently fast and you have to catch the wheel. also i feel like the springs are not long term and i have noticed ride quality has gotten worse and worse over the amount of KM’s i put on it- also installed at european automotive lol
I love my mag ride on my RS3. I had a non mag ride S3 and it was really sketchy on the highway .I think you would be happier with coil overs on your RS3.I have hit the corners hard with magride no problems my non magride S3 I traded it in after 2 weeks as it handled horribly.Go with 18s way better than 19s.245x40s on 18x8.5 Superspeeds.Way better handling and no wheel spin at all.
Magride here. About to go with the same H&R springs as well as sway bars next week or so. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the ride quality with the magride once installed lol. Are u planning on lowering it anytime soon? Stock 19 staggered setup here
@@mike786551 I have EMD springs just have not put them in yet.
Hmm interesting! I’ve heard different things with springs paired with mag ride! I guess it’s all personal preference
@@leechavarie4675 cool. I thought hard about emd springs however from the pics I've seen as well as what my tuner told me, they don't lower enough. My tuner said it was barely noticeable!? He did 3 cars in the past week with them.
@@mike786551 Shitty roads so I do not mind the drop.My friend has them and his car sits perfect. No gap at all.
Where can i find those paddle extensions for my 2013 Audi S4. Not the 3m ones? Please help
Love the Rotors they are so beautiful but I‘m really curious what aftermarket wheels you‘ll get in the near future! 😁
@oliver guo - love the new RS3. On your older A4 that you put the RS4 grille on, I saw that you had a 'US / Canada' sized license plate on the front. How did you attach it? I've been looking to do the same but I only find 'euro' sized license plate holders :( :(
Hey! I just used some thin black zip ties! It works like a charm :)
I wouldn't say ST is 'settling'. ST is a subsidiary of KW Suspensions and they're even made by KW in Germany. They've been said to be the same as the V1's, V2's and V3's with their X, XA and XTA lines, the difference being their construction and price. KW's are made with stainless steel bodies and ST's are galvanized steel. If you daily your car all year round the stainless steel helps but it is not uncommon to see people run ST's on their track/summer car setups and not like OEM struts are stainless.
I have the S3 with magnetic ride w/ 034 dynamic+ lowering springs, Falken Azenis FK510 on 19'' light weight wheels). The issue is because it's so stiff. I'm not sure about the RS3 without the magnetic ride, but when my suspension is on Dynamic, it isn't as noticeable but the ride is definitely harsher. You might want to look into a 034 rear sway bar (or any brand) and some end links. The S3 + RS3 platform have from stock tend to have rear end lift when cornering. You may want to consider adjusting your camber/toe for the rear. Mine has some slight toe and camber. The springs also take time to settle and may need another alignment.
Gotta be careful there bro that’s a 50 road and hella cops hiding 😂😂
😂😂😂
Forgive me if I missed it....r u running spacers on that? If so what mm front and back??
It’s called rebound. And yes the shocks are probably not meant to work with those spring rates.
Looks awesome. I am debating the Ohlins vs KW v3 coils. Any preference or knowledge one is better than the other?
I believe Ohlins are superior still. But KW is already good enough for 99% of the people out there. If you are going to track the car and can justify the price, Ohlins is the way to go!
Thank you. Are you still happy with your upgrade to your midpipe and would you suggest for a full performance exhaust? Leaning to MillTek.
@@jonathanlawson33 I would suggest doing the midpipes and a catless downpipe if you have the Sport exhuast
@@LifeOfOliver1 Thanks Oliver! Keep producing your videos! Loving them! 👍🏻
I’ve been considering lowering springs for my rs3 but I’m worried about shock life, any thoughts
Go with eibach pro-kits
how is this spring going up/down the plaza entrance? i am still with the stock but the sensor from the factory always scare me lol
Very good! No worries at all!
She looks way better...get low baby.
Love the cold start on the RS3 but I'd hate to be the neighbor of an RS3 owner 🤣
Size of spacers on wheels?
On stock wheels go for 8mm front and 12mm rear spacers for a flush look , 10 front and 15 rear if you want more of a poke
your rs3 have mag ride susp ¡?
Info on the phone mount tho?? Lol
Where did you get your spacers from
They’re from H&R.
@@LifeOfOliver1 thanks bud! Nardo gang from Alberta lol. Dips on your wheels if you get new ones haha
Any link for purchase?
Spacers?
lolz, you will blow out your shocks/struts. anyone who wants to put springs on stock shocks/struts your gonna see it go out soon. bounce away my friend
I don’t know exactly but the tires must be wider in the front because of the Quattro system;)
You need to get rid of the p zeros and get the Michelin pilot sport 4s tires huge improvement in ride and grip and sound I got them on my TTRS and yeah way better!!..you’ll thank me later👍
stick on padle shifters in that nice car🤦♂️🤣
13:50 Maybe not enough articulation for the wheelbase...
Couple of thoughts, 1 did you have an alignment completed after the springs were installed and did you have it checked after the springs settled? If not, that could definitely impact the feel of the vehicle after the lowering springs. Second, in my experience H&R aren't really a quality product but a cheap option to achieve the desired slammed look rather than focusing on performance. IMO, I'd opt for performance over optics any day.
Just removed HR springs from my RS3 daily. Yes it tucks tires. They are bouncy. take turns slower or bounce off the ceiling.
Are the those the oem euro spec wheels?
245 35 19 PS4S. Thanks me later
You’ve added some weight bro😊
Aftermarket wheels? Nooooo don’t do it! Just camber the back wheels so they tuck
lets see how long your shocks last fool.
