- Yes I did it with 4 sinners, because it was easier for me this way, but more rng at the start.
Not an enjoyable fight. Just a giant damage sponge with 2 arms that I have to kill 1 turn apart from each other and 2 dogs which aren't even all that threatening since they only have 1 skill slot, but they're also sponges.
Need Don to get a second skill slot so I can spam Rip Space faster, that and her Leaps are are good for damaging the snake guy.
Whenever I see Quick Suppression in Heathcliff's column (and don't have 6 haste) I use Bodysack for the 3 haste so I can get more power on Quick Suppression's coins.
Ryoshu's there for the ego, does massive damage to dogs. She also has pierce which is good for the snake guy actually.
Sinclair's only there because wrath slash skill + good ego vs dogs. Now that I think about it, G corp Gregor might've been a better choice. Probably. Not sure. At the very least a good replacement. - Hry
this fight is so tiring, as you said not enjoyable holy damage sponge
It is absurd how stupidly long this fight takes alongside the insane decision to give you poison when you hit it. It's absurdly demanding to try and reduce on turn count for no real reason.
Running Yi Sang instead could possibly save more time, as both his base EGO is a pierce debuff and his 4MF is also AOE. Helped me rack up 170+ dmg per shot on all targets
I would rather take on 10 consecutive waves of inquisitors then have to deal with this bull ever again. It’s consistently the least fun I’ve ever had in this game, and it’s solely because the boss relies on a speed-kill mechanic on top of being a damage-sponge. At-least make the resistances fatal or remove it’s poison if you’re going to give it the most HP out of every enemy in the game.
The day this is nerfed will be a day of joy.
Granted, the dogs are the only good part of the fight. You have to actually work around their attacks and it was actually fun until they died.
It’s so interesting how a single enemy can ruin the entire fight.
How feasible is this strategy without Kurokumo Ryoshu? I have everyone else and 4th match flame but I'm missing Kurokumo Ryoshu and have been using Seven Association Ryoshu instead.
EDIT: Made an attempt using this setup. 18 turns and W Dondon is at 2 health. I hate this boss so much that I almost think it's worth it.
It's probably doable. Kinda sucks that she has a blunt skill 1 but it's manageable. Skill 3 applies slash fragility for next turn and then you use FMF ego for even more damage.

poison in this fight is annoying, everyone that fights this guy will be unavailable for the next stage, i only have one good team and couldnt' beat the next stage.

Yea, purely up to chance.
Specifically for abnormality fights you’re only allowed to have a max amount of 5 skill slots (dead sinners still count towards the amount of slots used)
This is not to be confused with Non-abnormality fights when the amount of skill slots is determined by the amount of skill slots the enemy has (for example, the inquisitors with 2 skill slots)
I’ve never seen a case where if you are duoing, that one identity gets 4 attacks. the game always gives the next skill slot to the identity that doesn’t have their 2nd attack

But what I don't understand...why set defense-skills when you don't use them? Does that do anything?
It is something called the discard mechanic. Not sure if it's a bug or no but setting defense skills like this allows you to "discard" the offensive skill used for it, allowing you to draw your better skills quicker.

@MM31 that just means it works all the time, but since there's 3 copy of s1, you can get the same skil but it still helps with cycling your deck
Yi Sang has an AoE Wrath Slash EGO. That's x4 damage multiplier on both hounds every turn and x1.5 on the inquisitor. Spam it every turn and x10 turns is possible. Maybe even 9. My best was 11 turns, but I made plenty of mistakes in that run.
What the point tap evade/counter/defense skill and not using it?

There's a bug where it removes the skill under the defense the next turn so if you get a shitty skill you can maybe get it replaced with a better one next turn. It was meant to be patched but it still works lol
my first attempt I did this in like 28 turns and not once did I feel threatened
