Anyone else think the force led Plagueis to Palapatine? I was getting feelings throughout the book that that was the case. Also, I think it's wierd Palpatine just casually mentions killing two people on accident to a being he just met then offers the same being a lift on his speeder like they are lifelong friends. Another fantastic reading. My favorite thing about James Luceno’s Darth Plagueis and Cloak of Deception and in other books set right before or during The Phantom Menace is how they added more context to the plot of The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, especially certain aspects the movies were unclear on.

My discovery of this channel was through listening to the first two episodes of this series on a long drive. My interest in the pre clone wars era had just piqued and I was waiting to find time to read the physical copy. Easily the best long drive of my life!

I forgot how Palpatine first reacted to Plagueis by echoing him, hating politics this just shows how much Plagueis sculps Palpatine into the Monster he will become Palpatine was probably bored by Naboo wanting to be part of the outer galaxy but his father held him back he would use that in making a rift with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Jedi Order knowing how young Anakin Skywalker felt being the Choocen One but not gaining the rank of Jedi Master only the title.

Palpatine at this point in time (as is explained later in one of the next encounters between the two) was subconsciously keeping his Force abilities hidden. Though he had an idea he was Force sensitive at this point in his life, he didn’t really know how to manifest it until he began studying under Plagueis (and even before that when he finally got a chance to unleash the dark side for the first time).

This is a pretty good rendition but I got to tell you dude you are pronouncing almost every single name wrong. It's very simple to go online and find out how to pronounce all these names correctly. You could even listen to the audio book that already exists to learn how to say the names right. For the amount of effort you obviously put into this you're skipping a very simple thing that could make it a thousand times better
Plagueis’ accent sounds like an alien Frank Underwood, and I love it. You sir, are a very talented voice actor.

That was palpatine testing plageuis. Plageuis was unbothered by the news which was a good sign for him.
Darth Plagueis is my favorite sith lord of all time. So much raw power and cunning in his fingertips yet he holds himself back when necessary!
