    Looks good😋 but can you use self raising flour instead of dry yeast, and if so, do I have to leave it for long before you fry it

    • @Drewrykitchen
      @Drewrykitchen  Před 8 lety

      +SHERENE SMITH hi dear, I guess you can do it with raising flour but honestly I have never tried it before I have always been using dried yeast or fresh yeast. I dont want to say something wrong to you, Im not too sure about that flour dear.

    Hi thanks for d recipe.do you taste the yeast cus I use 3 cups of flour with one sachet of yeast.i will try with yours and see but sometimes when I fry them it cracks like Ghana donuts like it doesn't get smooth do you know why? I usually turn on d oven n turn it off then put it in d oven to rise up

    • @Drewrykitchen
      @Drewrykitchen  Před 7 lety

      +maame serwaa hi Maame I don't personally taste the yeast please try this one and see if it works for you, the water has to be lukewarm, and sometimes too much sugar can make it crack too, make sure it rests well and doubles in size

      +maame serwaa sorry dear just saw ur message my bad. Sometimes the water is too hot and not lukewarm

    Hi I wanted to learn how to make it from my friend mom, thankful I seen your tutorial. Waiting for the bofrot to rise so I can fry it the next day. Is it ok to leave it over night?

    • @Drewrykitchen
      @Drewrykitchen  Před 8 lety +1

      Hello dear, yes the next day is even better but as long as you notice it hqs doubled up in size. Its good, thank you x

      Hi I made the bofrot , but the only issue was my dough looked like dough. It was not soft enough ,so I added more water and assumed I ruined the yeast. I decided to add more yeast and the end result ruined the taste. And to squeeze it with your hands while frying is hard . Especially if it's your first time

    • @Drewrykitchen
      @Drewrykitchen  Před 8 lety

      Aww sorry about that did you add the correct flour measurement? Dont worry try again Im sure it will be ok,

    • @Drewrykitchen
      @Drewrykitchen  Před 8 lety +1

      OK so you need 3 packets of 7gr each. So 21 grams, let me me know how it turns out next time dear

    Hi dear, I tried to make bofrot but it came out like pancake and was too much oil in. I used the same procedure as you did, I would appreciate if you could tell me the reason!!

    • @Drewrykitchen
      @Drewrykitchen  Před 8 lety

      +yvonnelove hi dear Im sorry It didnt work out, you maybe added too much water in it, did u use lukewarm water or warm water? Cuz warm water kills yeast. And the oil needs to be hot but not too hot, its a bit tricky the first time. Let me know

    • @yvonnelove5674
      @yvonnelove5674 Před 8 lety +1

    Wat is lukewarm water

    • @Drewrykitchen
      @Drewrykitchen  Před 4 lety

      Its water that is not too hot not too cold that activates the yeast
