As someone who came back to the game after Go Fest last year and missed Diancie, I am very happy and excited for it. But damn this is rough for the people who did attend, if you got a shit one last year then youre still fucked
That's how it's always been with those Special Research mythicals ... pretty sure all of my "Go Fest" mythicals have had atrocious ivs, it is what it is at the end of the day 😂

I just tried a match in pvp for the first time in ahwile
Right when it became clear the opponent was gonna lose my game just froze on the shield animation, i switched wireless networks and tried 5G, but it just sat frozen for over 5 minutes til I closed the game

Same thing. Refeshing game data in advanced settings kinda helped. Niantic support told me about it. Man they are like Devil Advocates

Lots of people seem to be confused about Diancie.
It's a Go Fest Special Research mythical - you're only ever meant to get one of them per account.
You can pay to attend Go Fest & get it early or wait for the free version to come out later on - if you opt for Go Fest-ing it, then the free research will only ever give you candy as you final reward.
Yes, we're all aware they gave out 3 or 4 Shaymin across all the Go Fests in 2022, but that was a weird exception & definitely not "the rule".
The pattern then follows on to the shiny release being a ticketed special research, which is fair enough for getting a 2nd version of that mythical

Did Niantic remove some clothing items??? I woke up to my avatar with the starting outfit, and I don't have the rice farmer hat and the red kimono looking outfit anymore. More "woke" changes Niantic is making or my game just bugged?
Take a moment on this one. I'm (like most) extremely tilted about the avatars. They have made statements that the avatar system was released "unfinished" maybe the items currently missing might, (I highlight again I say might) be due to the team taking those items and working on them. In what way they're being worked on, or if at all IDK but that could be a reason. (I don't own those items, hopefully another individual with them will respond for you about their set)
People have mentioned paid for items now missing, and people having their customised outfit settings deleted - seems to be a laundry list (did I intend the pun, who knows) of lists this update needs to correct ASAP.
Was that the red/orange/yellow kimono - I think it was related to the Legends Arceus release?
My wife was wearing that one & after I updated her game (oops), she noticed her avatar was now in some other clothes (the free avatar items we got when this new update released globally)

The battles are still broken though. I glitched out/lagged out and then while I join a battle the app crashed multiple times. They should fix the battle leagues if they want a whole event centered around it and maybe fix the cheating??
I'm fine with not getting a 2nd Shiny Diance I really want the Shiny instead.
I have learned that even u lose every set u can get up 2 15k or better 4 20 sets durring battle week events it not terrible 4 like an hour of battles if u do it like i do but i dont make it any fun 4 the winners just try and get it done and over with a quick as possible.
Since I already paid for a mediocre Diancie already I get punished and only get candies. I was hoping for another chance, but no. That is HOT garbage.

I've seen a few people on my friends list with Pikachu buddies that look like they're about to slide off their shoulder ... can't say I've noticed anything else unusual m, but I'm usually in the friends list as little as possible
Funny enough; either you're lucky enough to get a good mythic pokemon from this paid research or a bad one... but when they release it under a different name but free but give you candy if you already gotten that said pokemon.... id say its pretty unsatisfying, to say the least.... (i mean, who wants another chance of getting a better mythic pokemon, am i right?)
That's just how they handle the distribution of these particular mythicals in PoGo.
Remembering you only ever get one of each available mythical per save file in the console games.

None of the mythicals in Go so far were released as shiny (that's all the "Go Fest research" ones & all the raid boss ones like Darkrai & Deoxys in all it's forms).
I wouldn't expect that pattern to change, but we are dealing with Niantic here (so, never say never I guess) 😅

Everyone gets the second (free) version of the Research - if you didn't attend Go Fest this will be your encounter with Diancie, If you got her at Go Fest this will be more candy/xl candy for you instead.
You pay for the privilege of early access to the Mythical, not the Mythical itself - if you catch my drift.
That's how Niantic has operated with these Go Fest mythicals since Mew in 2017 (Shaymin during the 2022 Go Fest season was a weird exception to that process - no idea why, possibly due to it having the two forms)

Attending Go Fest is a privilege not afforded to everyone - if you've been fortunate enough to attend one & get your mythical there, then that's your lot - enjoy having it before most of the community does & be grateful.
