      Not when the engine is stressed member, one of the reasons why Aston Martin's AMR1 failed, Inline 6's are TERRIBLE as structural members, so for this application, a V6 would be better.

      Not in this application. They wanted to get the weight of the engine as far back and as low to the ground as possible. An in-line 6 is much longer, so the weight of it would negatively affect how the car handles

      @@trevorrose4529 Specially the CoG of the car, a smaller longitudinal package means better weight distribution, therefore a lower CoG.
