At 64, and about to have our 3rd grandkid within the next 2 months, I certainly can relate to how hard raising kids is. Everyone feels their stress is different, and "why is everyone else's house just happy" - not so. And everyone agonises over choices. But the most important thing is the long game. Never give up. Be there. Expose them to opportunity. Don't kill yourself over one bad choice ( and remember there are no "bad experiences" - there are many unpleasant ones, but they all offer an opportunity to learn and grow - it is up to you to find the value in those unpleasant experiences) . In the long game, you treasure coming through and overcoming the difficult times. It is a journey you and your kids took together, all be it from different perspectives. And you will both appreciate (in different ways) that you never gave up on each other.

I love this idea because I know how much I struggle some days raising our two amazing children, and i swear they are easy. So I sometimes feel guilty for getting frustrated with them or grumpy. Although I know this is all normal and that I am a fantastic father, i think your videos will help remind of that. So that you!

This is the first comment I have ever made on a video. I have to tell you it is amazing to see a mom crushing it and still being vulnerable and sharing how hard it is. I never thought it would be as challenging as it is. I have a 6 month old who is our world and frustrates me daily. I needed this today it has completely inspired me to keep on keeping on! This is a great idea. So many people, in and out of the public eye, tend to gloss over the difficult stuff in their lives which I think doesn't help anyone. We are not walking magazine covers. Keeping it real takes SO much pressure off of our lives. Thank you.

I can't love this enough. For almost 6 years I have wondered how you do it all (we were pregnant at the same time with our oldest kiddos) and it is so refreshing to see that you go through the same 'mom' stuff. I've also been super struggling with the idea of changing my kindergartner's school and I'm so happy to hear that it worked well for you. We're still weighing the options. Your kids just melt my heart and you are an inspiration.

I was a single mom with a shift work career and there were alot of changes to make, over the years to keep the family fed and looked after. I got the comments of how seamless I made it look while I worried about how my kids would turn out. I didn't do every perfect, but it did it with love and have two amazing, well adjusted daughters who handle what life throws at them rather well. The big part is that I didn't do it alone. Friends and family helped alot and so don't be afraid to ask for someone to babysit etc. Sarah, you got this!

Might not mean anything to you, but personally I think you are even more beautiful like this, as your actual real life self, because that's the true achievement here:
The world is full of celebs who have more or less talent, lots of money and success, but they all are just their image, you never see them, you see their persona... or worse yet, you might see their true selves and they might be just as vain and superficial and shallow -- you on the other hand, lovely Sarah, you are sitting proudly right at the opposite end of pretentiousness, of arrogance, of superficiality: despite the Band's name, you are such a down to earth person, seemingly honestly wanting to be friends with the entire world... you even let us share in your most intimate private moments of happiness (and I guess now also of chaos, heh), but unlike other celebs, you do not do this to show off your success, you do it, I believe, out of a genuine wish to share your happiness with the world, to be a legit example that kids and career do not have to be mutually exclusive... and for that, I would marry you instantly, kids and all, that's how much you as a person have impressed and touched me, if that makes any sense at all to you... anyhow, keep being awesome, keep being real -- I like the frizzy, sweaty mom-you just as much as the deeply enchanting singer/songwriter-you.

You are incredible girl!!! I always wanted three boys, but I ended up with two girls instead!!! I’m pretty sure God knew I wouldn’t have been able to handle it, so I’m extremely grateful for what I got.
Oh, I wanted to tell you, my husband and I sleep in different beds usually as well!!! We both have such different sleeping schedules, and we also like to sprawl out. But we also have nights where it’s my husband, Berlyn (our youngest at 6 yo), myself, and all four dogs as well!!! Just depends on the day....

I absolutely didn’t think how sleeping in different rooms Would be a good thing. It makes so much sense though. Sort of reminds me how back in the olden days couples slept in a separate single bed. They seem to have lasted forever.

This was exactly like hanging out with my sisters, my besties. We're all so frazzled loving and doting and worrying about our babes that we find ourselves constantly apologizing for the interruptions and 'spaciness' of conversations. It's just nice to see beyond the curtain of perfection, as i have envied your lives before (globetrotting and singing and being musical as a life), that the struggles i face as a mother are the same as yours. And i want to just pass on words of encouragement and love. You're doing to best for you and yours. Xox
Keep up with the yoga whenever u can. My boys are now 21 and 18 and I continue to practice yoga. That "me time" helped clear my mind so i could best the Mom, wife and friend I could be. Introducing deep breathing and yoga poses to my boys when they were little was also fun and helpful. Sharing a day in the life is great Sarah...just don't spread yourself too thin by doing so. Be in the present moment and enjoy life with your beautiful little guys.💗

Kids adapt. You are doing a great job. I have 4 kids. The one thing I know for sure is if you worry about failing as a parent it means you are trying and as long as you keep trying and doing your best then you are not failing. All the best parents worry that they aren't good enough. Being there for them is half the battle. Just as long as your kids know they are loved. I think they are going to grow up to be amazing people ❤️ BTW just seen your show in Tulsa. It was Awesome!

Sarah I really needed this tonight. I've been feeling like a crap mom. I have a 6 and 5 year old that just started school. I also have a 2 year old baby girl that passed when I was in labor. I had my rainbow baby 8 months ago. People think now that I have had my rainbow baby after the loss I should just move on but I could have 10 more kids and none would replace my precious Maiyah girl. As moms we aren't allowed to feel our own feels because we are always doing everything for everyone else. Seeing that you are just as normal and have rough times makes me feel so much better. Social media and all that makes us moms feel inadequate every time we see a picture of a mom and they look perfect and their kids are all behaving perfectly but what we don't realize is life happens and those are just one moment in a day. I'm rambling.. but thank you. I'd love to see more.
