I’ve been focusing on what kids today are wanting hoping they feel nostalgia in 20 years.
I’ve discovered remarkable things like Urshifu is very popular among them.
I hope you’re right because I’ve got a LOT of battle styles 😂… but no really that’s interesting and BS is cheap still so maybe kids are liking opening cards like that for the fun factor. Good points as always 😎
My first experience with PSA was bad too. I pulled a 1st edition Misty's Golduck. Sent it off for grading and it came back a PSA 8. I look at the back and there's ALOT of surface scratches. It looked like someone dragged it across a table. The card was pack fresh and clean. Now I'm hesitant on sending my cards off again. Sucks.
Yeah that’s tragic. They are tough on vintage I think but sounds like my experience too. I think maybe they are rougher on single cards than they would be if they were stacked in a larger sub? Idk probably just bad luck. But it’s funny as we both had bad experiences and only subbed one card.. 🤷🏻♀️

It’s tough collecting and going to these shows with all the theft going on.

Hey yeah I always go tense for that reason, and thanks for the support regarding my dad. I’m sure he’ll be ok but he’s getting older and covid isn’t a joke 🙏🏼

Not only was it your first experience with sending something in, but also you got the classic customer service experience when they goofed your card. Avoiding accountability on an expensive card would leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth.

Got to stay strapped. Especially when you have valuables. If convention centers don’t allow people to carry and protect themselves the convention should be held liable for theft and crime.

I’m always wary whenever modern dips in popularity for English, since I’ve been loving going back to older eras and just buying up cards from them
I guess in a lot of ways if modern is doing well it keeps eyes off vintage which is good 😎

1.5 million dollar heist is what every bank robber wishes for. And some guy pulled it off in 5 minutes 😂 with no one noticing till hours later. If I had a case of cards worth 1.5 mil I would have held onto it the entire convention duration.

Not gonna lie the PSA experience is exactly what I was talking about when I said how card collectors are basically slowly learning things that coin collectors have learned over the decades.
You have been saying this time and time again so yeah it’s something we all learn over time the hard way that grading is amazing but can be a risk 🤷🏻♀️
@@orionsires Basically the problem is that grading is irrelevant if the companies cannot uphold their reputation and what’s going to happen is soon PSA 10 and raw cards will be viewed the same.
Or people will buy the card not the grade more often.
