The song "The Pretender" by the American rock band The Foo Fighters is a great example that drum parts do not have to be complicated to be amazing. The intro is only quarter notes on the snare, but the power of this simple part is immense. I've watched so many covers of this song where the individual performing really struggles to keep in time during the opening when the snare comes in. It's very deceptive. It really looks like something that should be so easy, anyone could do it; however, that's not the case. In instances where the drum peice is very minimal and seemingly simplistic, any and all mistakes you make will stand out like a giant neon sign on the darkest night, repeatedly flashing, *MISTAKE HERE* *MISTAKE HERE*
But you nailed it bruh. This is definitely one of the best covers I've seen of this song. Awesome job, bro.

Now this is good as a tribute to Taylor Hawkins, who in my opinion is the best drummer the freaking Foo Fighters have ever had! Rest in peace you great drummer! When I was super young (about 5 or 6, which is 12/13 years ago now) I wanted to be like Taylor Hawkins, I wanted to act like him. I even wanted to have the same fucking haircut as him!

Almost identical to Tre' Cools recreation.
It makes sense considering both Tre and Taylor were Gretsch and Zildjian artists at the time each recorded their respective albums covered on this channel, I believe haha don’t quote me on that I could be wrong but I think that the 2000’s were the era where they both shared companies
