16:40 - telling the seemingly arrogant student to put his wand away because he'll poke someone's eye out is hilarious, and later awkward - once you're told he's blind and uses it to navigate the castle, so he literally can't put it away or he'd struggle to get to classes XD He's a brilliant character!
i dont know if someone has said this, but the boy that walks around with his wand out is Ominis Gaunt, he's blind so he uses his wand to know where hes going
yeah i found that out by a main story quest he yelled at me :p

Yep and given the timeline he's probably Voldemort's great-uncle. One of the many tiny nods to the books they put in the game.

The fact they gave the hufflepuff house the scariest and probably saddest story in the game in my opinion.
It’s sad and tragic. But we have to learn from the saddest stories so we never repeat the mistakes from the past.
That is intriguing; it seems like more of a Slytherin quest.

Coming from someone who by now has played ALL of the house missions I have to say that (in my opinion) the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor missions are by far the best with the Slytherin one being the worst. Hufflepuff is the ONLY way to get to see Askaban and is the one with the best story while Gryffindor's is in my opinion the most fun and let's us visit the Kitchen and join the headless hunt. Ravenclaw's lets you re-visit Olivanders while Slytherins get's us to visit a cave.

Here are the differences for this segment:
Gryffindor: You get a quest with Nearly Headless Nick.
Ravenclaw: You get an letter from Olivander requesting your help.
Hufflepuff: You take a trip to Azkaban.
Slytherin: You help Professor Black's house elf with a request.

Lady takes her into Azkaban and says “Follow me”. Miranda immediately turns and goes the other way.
Even only 5 episodes into the play through its very clear why Avalanche chose you as one of their “ambassadors” for this game. Flying you out for early access, sending you the collector’s edition, press, etc. It’s clear you love the wizarding world and appreciate the dev’s efforts in bringing it to life for the game and your enthusiasm is infectious. Every episode I watch makes we want to jump back into the game. 10/10 play through, can’t wait to keep watching
That's neat that Jackdaw's questline changes based on your house.
I'm playing as a Ravenclaw and my introduction was Ollivander sending me on a quest to find a stolen heirloom wand.
I love how each of the house have different path to Jackdaw but still parallely connected
I wished they did that for a lot of the quests so that every house has its own way to end up at the same place but slightly different enough that a whole different playthru would make it even more interesting if you chose a different house for multiple playthru of the game
As Gryffindor, you get a quest from Nearly Headless Nick when you reach this part of the game. You find Richard by playing a game with other headless ghosts in Hogwarts. Anne isn't mentioned at all.
Slytherin gets a secret letter from the headmasters house elf

@@JbBackFeeble Every house has a unique quest, Hufflepuff = Azkaban, Gryffindor = Headless Hunt, Slytherin = Headmasters one eared elf and Ravenclaw = I've not seen it yet.

@@Sorin96 there’s an option to change your house when being sorted. So it really doesn’t matter at all you can make a new save and choose to do the mission
I think I'm close to 20+ hours mark played and I'm not even that far into the story. Been exploring, finding field pages and done so many Merlin trials already! As a Harry Potter fan its like everything we could ask for and more😍
Tbh yes its great but there's just too many merlin trials to ever motivate me to start another character, I just recently unlocked the house chest and omg the reward is awesome 👌 but I don't want to redo all that just to clear my ocd of seeing that quest on my menu 🥲 yeah idk I just felt like sharing 🤷
@@mr_biggsmoke4202 the chest aren't that big of a deal, same for the trials, once you know what to do they're so easy to complete
I think I hit the 30+ hours mark before continuing the main story (needed to complete the broom flying quest)

Flashback to an earlier episode when you said Hecat was going to be your favorite Professor and I was like; yeah no just wait until Herbology: literally everyone adores Mirabel Garlick! Wonderful character and probably the best voice acting in the game.
The only criticism I have for the game is that a lot of the features have fairly shallow implementation; but you can't really fault the developer because they put so MANY different things in that it creates a depth all of its own, and it's that feature-cramming that makes the world, and especially the castle, feel so alive and magical.
Like honestly, if they'd taken time to do a real in-depth gear and character RPG system but had to cut the humming knights, the teleport frogs, the moving paintings everywhere, self-playing instruments, honking daffodils, Charmed watering cans and pruning shears etc etc, the game might have more replayability but I genuinely think it would have been a lesser experience that you could find in a dozen other titles.
And that's before you get the incredible lore nods to the books and films like the Groundskeeper's House page saying it's suitable for occupants of all sizes, the One Eyed Witch Passage that Harry used to sneak to Hogsmeade using the Marauder's Map, the lake outside Jackdaw's Tomb where your character talks about stags being regal creatures that is clearly based on the lake Harry first cast his Patronus in Prisoner of Azkban. It's just such a clear passion project for the creators of the game.

I've been watching a couple of other playthroughs and yours is the best I've seen. Which is why it's so painful waiting for the next episode. So many folks don't pay attention and it gets so frustrating watching someone bang their head against a wall instead of thinking, "I probably need Depulso". I've already finished my initial Ravenclaw run and have started again with a Gryffindor and I can't wait to see your reactions to what comes next.
Seriously hers is the best. She became one of my top youtubers over this!

Being competent at this game definetely helps, but the best thing about these videos is your wide-eyed wonder at all the cool things you can do. And the game does a really good job of it. Rather than giving you access to a small portion of the map first, and gradually unlocking stuff, you can explore the whole castle, and you'll only run into some closed doors, giving you a reason to go back once you get alohomora. Much better than clearing the map bit by bit, and never going back to the parts already done.
love your "little kid running amok" attitude! Your joy, and awe, and your startled looks at surprising events are priceless! Maybe Hogwart's can help me let my own "little kid" come to the fore and run amok all over the wizarding world!
It's pretty cool that each house has its own way of introducing jackdaw. Gryffindors meets his ghost with the help of nearless headless nick. I know Slytherin has a different way as well. Haven't seen Ravenclaw playthrough it yet.

Similar to lot of people I'm obsessed with the game. When I'm not playing it I'm thinking about playing it lol! Really brought my love for the series back after not paying attention to it since I've read the books in high school.

Seeing what Azkaban looks like inside just strengthens my resolve to keep Sebastian out of Azkaban.
You get a lot more than XP from the merlin trials. The challenge rewards are inventory capacity increases. be sure to claim them.
I've always thought the "one eyed witch" statue was a reference to the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz books. In the books, she had only one eye, "But that eye was as powerful as a telescope."
Also, Gareth Weasley's Fizzing Whizbee Drink experiment sounds like a reference to "Fizzy Lifting Drinks" from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
It's such a joy watching you play and discover things and be dazzled by them and just so much enjoy the magic of the game! You kind of add to that, so, like, thank you!

I had this game day one. Pre ordered deluxe edition. I love it! I'm always gonna play it once a year around autumn. Mirandalorian, watching your playthrough is by far the most satisfying. The amount of child-like wonderment you have is so enjoyable to watch.

I'm in Gryffindor, this quest to me was meeting the Nearly Headless Nick, he wanted rotten beef, we went to the Kitchen of Hogwarts. AND we meet the Headless Hunt club, but it's interesting to see that is different to every house. Loving the series Miranda ! :)

Hey, so you need to equip the gear in them empty slots to benefit from the stat bonuses, if you dont like the look of the item hover over it in main inventory screen press square then top left you can turn appearance off or you can choose a look you do like for each item of gear.

One thing I love about this game is that it gives more insight into the negatives of the wizarding world a lot more than the positives of it. The movies showed some of the dark sides of it but it wasn't fleshed out like I hoped. The books if I remember touched on those subjects I think but the movies never truly did. I love the school and stuff but seeing some of those dark hidden stuff is intriguing and what compels me to like this game way more. The place isn't as bright and dandy but enjoyable for those that have the curiosity to learn

Congrats on 40k subs! Interesting fact: The Slytherin student who was walking around with his wand out in Herbology is blind so he uses his wand to help him to get around. I thought it was really cool that the devs did that.
Oh good! The Azkaban quest wasn't too far into the game. I was hoping to see it early on in your playthrough. Seems us Gryffindor aren't brave enough to be allowed there. I knew I was doing right by binging your playlist to get to this point. 😃 Now we just need to see the exclusive PS5 quest.

Hey you are awesome and so is your channel! I have a quick tip that's hound help if you'd like to hear it. So you know how you may or may not like the look of a specific piece of gear? Well you should equip all your gear from each specific gear slot so that you can get the stats from it. So if you hover over the icon of each specific gear slot before clicking into it you have an option to "change appearance" to something that you've already found or turn that specific piece of gear off but you still have it quipped so you get the stats for your character!!!
Still hasn't done this yet? I'm going through video by video for evidence in the comments that she's learned how to manage gear and appearances.

concerning the portrait of Eldritch Diggory, you only meet him as a Hufflepuff, Gryffindor it's Nearly Headless Nick who takes you to the "Headless Hunt" to find the missing pages, As Slytherin, you meet the Headmaster's house-elf Frokes, who helps. I don't know what plays out in ravenclaw yet. but it always plays different depending on your House
This quest is given by Olivander for those in Ravenclaw. Anne from what I experienced wasn’t even mentioned. I also didn’t get to go to Azkaban! The hufflepuff version is incredibly more sad :(
Not sure if anyone has mentioned yet so forgive me if this is a duplicate, BUT you can make any piece of gear you wear look like any other you have found, whether you’ve sold it or not. You can also make them not show up on your figure. From the gear screen, each item has a ‘change appearance’ option! Also, your playthrough is my favorite so far!

During this time as a Ravenclaw, you get a letter from Mr. Ollivander regarding a family heirloom wand. But a bigger note, you has have all these other clothing supplies that you haven't equipped to increase your offense and defense. Just cuz it doesn't look cute doesn't mean not to neglect your stats. You can change the look by hitting square over the article.
lol yep, drives me nuts 🤪when I see that she doesn't equip any of the gear on some of the slots just because of the way it looks 😂she could have better offensive and defensive stats and just change the way each item of gear looks in the customization portion of the gear slot and she already collected a lot of stuff that the customization section would be filled with a lot of variety, she could mix and match every item to her hearts content but she doesn't seem to know that.😁Its the loot goblin in all of us I guess, this game makes it so that gear you collect while levelling up is expendable and the cosmetic part of the item is always tied to the gear slot which is a welcome change since rarity and looks dont mean anything just the stats since you can customize what you are wearing with a cosmetic appearance of an item that you mayh have already sold. 😁Brilliant of the game to do so 😁 When it comes to gear in this game just remember...don't collect, wear the best, and sell the rest! 😜

50:00 the quest is slightly different for each house, it change the npc you talk. I'm slitheryn and for the quest I had a house elf (who serves the Black family and the headmaster) accompany me
The ball slide I did it without depulso… I think you just enjoyed going down the slide lol and the fire place was a fast travel point 😂
Hi, At 1:15:06. The Merlins puzzle you have to send it down the slide ans into the hole. As I noticed it as you where running back to the puzzle.
This is pretty cool. I got Jackdaw’s quest a different way. I went with Ravenclaw. It’s great that different houses get different quests, or at least different versions of the quests.
I mean it’s literally just one quest that’s different. Every single other quest is exactly the same. Kinda disappointing

I love your walkthroughs and can't wait between them; I wish you'll make them closer to each other... Please put your "window" a little higher, you hide the possible answers to a conversation... :) As for the names from the HP series: I love that as well, I assume that "Granger" will not be there, Hermione is a Muggle-born... WOW, that number thing under the torches, I hadn't noticed that at all! Good eyes. :) In front of the gate of the old squib house, you missed the magic you should have gathered, I hope it'll be there next time, VERY valuable to you.
I'm naturally a Ravenclaw but I'm soo being a Hufflepuff for this quest, 😍 the stream knew you were gonna take a break when you got to the forbidden forest and saw spiders

its cool she does that I only wished she just wore all the gear she can to raise her defense and offense stats even more, wonder if anyone has told her she can play around with what ever outfit she can in the customization screen 🤔

It's very effective throwing a few into a fight and then using a Mandrake to stun your opponents. :) There's even a Talent to get two cabbages instead of one. Another very entertaining video!
