BSIS has updated the Powers of Arrest training effective Jan 1st 2024. The link is below, I will say they have not approved a new test question pool yet. The material is still valid in terms of general information but they added a few sections in the new manual. Copy each of the review sections, making your own mock test. The questions are similar, if not identical to what you will find on the guard card exam. bsis.ca.gov/forms_pubs/poa.pdf
They are common sense. The exam can be found in the powers of arrest manual. Keep in mind you need 100%. No one can give you the answers to the test, BSIS does not allow that but it is open book. This is the BSIS Review, each of sections has a set of review questions.
@@UniversitySecurity I appreciate you taking the time out your day to reply man. I've been driving tractors and farming for the last 6 years, before that I was working at stores and gas stations here in Southern California . I'm 32. I also recently got my first pistol , a Glock 17.
Shuan with the Security Investigations and Leadership Channel, on CZcams, is in the SoCal area and a licensed firearm training facility. He can point you in the right direction in that process.
The initial 8 hours is the guard card test. The other 32 is continuing education. I don’t certify people, which is why this is available for free and can viewed without registration. Shaun at Security and Investigations Leadership channel may be able to provide a reliable and current online provider. He still lives in California and works there on a regular basis.
Just got my guard card today. This video was super helpful. Thanks.
Glad you found the video beneficial. I wish you the best as you move forward in this industry. Never stop learning.
Hi, do you obtain the guard card after you complete and pass the 8hr course? Or is the additional 32hrs course necessary?
The 8 hours is the initial course, you can apply then. 32 hours needs to be completed as well but after your first day on the job.
@@UniversitySecurity the 32 hours of training , how does that work ? Can it be done online ?
When you complete everything and they send you your guard card does it come on paper as in you cut your guard card out or is it an actual ID?
It’s paper. You will then carry it with you when ever you are on duty.
How do I check my status on application for guard card
Search for California BSIS Verify a License or call them directly.
Are these the questions/answers that will be asked on the test or does it vary ?
I’m trying to print them out with the answers so I could just study it like that I already have the WMD printed out with answers I just need this one

@@randomdog8107 Yes, this was the practice test.
Could someone get this license in state of Washington???
Yes, you can be an out of state resident and get your license. Processing it likely won’t be easy.
Good course just too many ads.
Thank you. I want to add I am not a monetized channel, I have no control nor benefit from the ads.
What’s a legit online California school for the 32 hr test
