@tobiproduction Pretty sure that's Keith Szarabajka still voicing him, who voiced him DFF012, MFF, Type-0, and WoFF. Makes sense, since this is the same Gilgamesh that world hops and not an alternate continuity like the FF7 characters.
What's funny is some of us knew Gilgamesh went to FF7's world at some point, because Gilgamesh went into FF12 with the Buster Sword.
Fairly certain this appearance now means he has appeared in every mainline game, through either the original, a remake, or dlc.

If you're genuinely doing that, write down Genesis's quotes of Loveless.
Then pay attention... Sephiroth paraphrases Loveless a few times in remake; once especially in his very first scene.
Also, the Loveless play will be in Rebirth... The remake trilogy is the "5th entry" in the compilation according to Nomura.. Genesis said the 5th page is lost or as yet unwritten. Each page of Loveless corresponds to an entry in the compilation.
And know that in Dirge, he said he will be there for the Final Act.
"Intermission" is a break between Acts in a play.
Rebirth's logo is animated the same way Genesis's sword is during his limit break.
The Goddess Minerva is the planet's Jenova, so to speak.

@@brandonstinson4988 How many times does canon material need to explicitly state that Aerith loves Cloud more than Zack before people stop putting Aerith and Zack as destined lovers? Even if you ship it, it is anything but destined or canon. It was 5 years between Aerith and Zacks last meeting and Aerith is clearly shown to have changed and grown as a person in those years (Zack is my favorite character but istg do none of the shippers actually play his game??) Our boi Zack deserves to be with someone who loves him in the present, not someone who had feelings for him 5 years ago when she was a teenager. It's another layer of what makes Zack's story tragic. Even if he survives his final fight, he has lost years of time where the world moved on without him, which with the type of guy he is, would be hard for him to understand and come to terms with.

Happy to see all the scenes from the original are still there, there's a lot of them after all. Not so happy to see how some sequences, old and new, still look or sound off, awkward, or overplayed, but I suppose it was to be expected, since it was like that in the first game too

you got it backwards, seph is stopping cloud from killing her. his blade starts out upright ready to swing down on aeris and then seph gets in the way. seph needs her to live because her death is what led to him losing and he wants to change things.
