Since there is slim hope for Lancia's return in the near future, Eugenio Amos is doing everything he can to elevate and save the name of Lancia. How is he doing that? By building the type of Lancia he wants to see, as opposed to what others want to see. Eugenio knows that if his passion reigns through his work, the business and interest will come as a result of it. Larry tours Automobili Amos with none other than Eugenio himself to get an exclusive and hands-on experience with the new 1 of 10 Lancia Delta Safarista being built at 600,000 euros.

"I built a car that I like and maybe other likeminded people want it, too" is a pretty savage statement these days. This is not just a restomod - this is a re-imagination of a classic rally car. I mean that little comment about the certification of the tail light being 15% of the vehicle price shows which great length he is willing to go. And yes, he drives like a maniac and I just love it! 😁🤟

Lancia Delta two door is sick!!
Legend says they forgot to cut the back doors on the clay model and they thought "Hold on, lets make it a coupe; looks way better."
It's very cool. But it does look a bit odd, because the doors are still standard "4/5" door size. Usually they make them bigger(longer) on 2/3 door cars.
It already existed with the S4

wow this made me miss my days growing up in Mallorca, the small roads, the mountain rallies. Thgis guy deserves every ounce of attention he is getting, grorgeous cars.
LANCIA was more than a name, it was a unique blend of practicality, innovation & Batshit crazy. I'm convinced that when Lancia interviewed engineers they put them in an empty room, told them to draw something and only hired the guys who ate the crayons. IMO Eugenio would have been a perfect Lancia fit, he's nailed the essence of the brand with these cars.
The story goes that Henry Ford went on its knees in front of Lancia

That’s impressive, removing two doors doesn’t really change the aesthetics much. That black mask nose treatment is tremendous.
Completely disagree. Black nose makes it look like some old Seat, and if it ever was a 2-door the B-pillar would’ve been futher back. The proportions now are still ”4-door” - its far from what would have come from factory.

@Hagerty! Here's a genuine idea: look, as a viewer, I want to see the amazing car that the video is about, so just show me the car driving hard! For 20 minutes. Yes, really. With maybe a few cutaways (but short and intermittent). With the dialogue over the car noises. I WANT TO SEE AND HEAR THE CAR, while learning about the amazing details/story/whatever people involved have to say. More of that please 🙏

I remember seeing the Lancia Delta as a kid in Italy and immediately falling in love. I know these are classic resto mods but €330K for the level 1 version is quite steep price.
