Well the idle speed matches up to the 0 mph mark and the top of 2nd is 90 which matches up with 7000 rpms so technically speaking, if you started the car in second the tach and speedo would be parallel the whole way to 90. I've seen people start a c6 from second before from a stop so ik it's possible. Someone has to record that if it hasn't already been done.
It does. I haven’t taken more videos of it this year but hopefully I will soon. Last event I went to my GoPro mount broke and I missed the one this weekend because I’m rebuilding the transmission in it right now.
@@hardwick_performance Does the transmission require rebuilding at that power level? I'm trying to learn as much as possible about these cars, as I'm seriously considering one as my next car but I'm torn between a couple different options.
@@hhaste the trans is strong enough. If you launch hard at the track you can damage the diff which can in turn break the trans when it goes. Just avoid wheel hop and use common sense. Mine was still going after 2 years at this power level. The only thing in the trans that will really quit are the synchros. If you’re not missing gears and grinding then they’ll be fine. But if you want to shift fast eventually they will go or you’ll want to upgrade to carbon blockers. Later years may have improved. Mine was an 08. I have the same RPM with B3 cam package (w/ Frankenstein heads), but I added Corsa extreme exhaust, upgraded rockers, Injector Dynamics fuel injectors and South Bend Kevlar clutch.

08 so it’s the same trans as yours. I believe the factory synchros improved in later year ones. My factory clutch held up until I went to the track. So it’ll last a while on street tires. Not forever but if you’re not racing a lot you’ll be ok for a bit.

Those couple seconds where the rpm and speedo needles are parallel
