Got the tune for 2008 is250 AWD daily driving it recorded some videos showing time differences best improvement was from 60-100 cut off about 4 seconds. 0-60 only about .5 seconds. Definitely a rolling race mod.

Been wanting to do some mods for my is but don’t know what’s really worth it. Any ideas?
@@meatyklaws4207 my favorite mod so far has been my strut bars in the front and back. The Meagan racing ones are aluminum so not super stuff but for $120 each you can’t beat it. I had never drove a proper track setup car fast through turns and this changed my whole idea of grip and speed. The tune made my times faster but isn’t enough to make my car feel faster. Another daily driving thing I enjoy is my f sport intake box sounds a lot more throaty and deeper tone.
Wish we could get the AWD model in the UK and the IS350 model too

Raced an IS350 that was rr tuned, it was pretty quick

Already put in the large air intake tube from the same company. Also purchased iridium spark plugs in new coils.
This helped as well as a new kn filter.
The biggest impact was a lower air intake box from Lexus of Santa Barbara.
It acts as a cold air intake.
Thank you for the LED tips on the interior lights as well as the rear reflectors.
Recently, I went on a long road trip and got incredible gas mileage.
Even around town.
Royal purple performance oil. Keeping the curb weight down helps a lot.

Christian, does that strut race make a noticeable difference? RR has a solid one piece brace for $399 rt now on sale. They say don’t waste money on the 3 piece ones but it’s hard spending $400+70 shipping for it
yo just came across ur video. i got a 18’ is300 f sport and currently got intake, charge pipe and downpipe and im trying to see which tune might be better. heard d3 performance is a good tune for performance but then i want pops n bangs so kinda leaning towards mforce. i live in cali as well so ik how u feel bout the car laws
You should do the air box upgrade cut out similar to the fsport box I did it is greatly
You have to set the speedometer all the way to max and it has to be traction off to get the max of the tune.
I’ve seen lots of people test these tunes out on their 2/350’s and non actually follow the instructions
what do you mean by setting the speedometer to max ?
Is has "warning indicator" for when you're going over a set speed. It just turns a part of your speedometer orange, then red. You can set it with the little knob and 2 arrow buttons to the left of your steering column@@aneeshprasobhan

I’ve had the mforce tune for a while now and I’m really thinking about switching to rracing
There’s short video on instagram or CZcams showing two exact same 250 one rr tuned and one mforce tuned and the rr tuned beat it every time. Mforce has cool pops but supposedly very harmful to engine over time.

hey man! I recommend Raacechip instead! At max setting, the hp increase in INSANE! it doesnt f*** with your engine either if you drive responsibly (i.e., only redline when at optimal engine temperature, some engine modifications, consistent oil changes and maintenance, etc.)
The Racechip XLR, the only Racechip available for the is250, is a throttle controller and not a tune. You could use that and the RR tune at the same time for even more fun.
I see you have RC300 in your name though, you are correct that those can get good power with Racechip

Wish I would had watch your video. Went out and got PCR for $60. And then research it after. Found out it was a scam. Bad thing is they still in operation.
I installed a 9-drive not sure if anybody has heard about them but I basically use it for the eco mode & I’m up to 28.2 from 24.5 mpg on the highway

Had the rr tune on my 250 it was good had it on over a year and 30k miles . Don’t bang the rev limiter a lot at 7200 rpm it sounds so good

Thanks for the good content. For now I’m just stuck on wheels hopping cause the one I got on my 250 is kinda tiny. (Will change it after a year or 2.) :)
Take it mod by mod and enjoy the process ! Your wallet will hate you but at least you'll have a smile on your face haha
Beautifully done work on this Lexus. How many miles do you have on yours now? I only have 132,000 on mine. 2008 model. My friend is looking at a 2009 and it has 200k miles and I’m telling him to try to find something with lower mileage.
I have about 150k ! Low mileage is def the way to go if he can find one for the right price

Hey man did you have too goo the Lexus dealer to have some reprogramming software update? I see the website says that we need to make sure the car has the latest software update, just wondering if this was only for a certain year or every year needs to go get this update
I actually had the same question and recently emailed RR Racing regarding that step. Apparently its for older models or foreign models. This is the exact quote I got from Justin at RR "It's very rare that you wouldn't have the latest file in your ECU and require a dealer reflash. We wouldn't know until you read your file and email to us." For context I have a 2014 IS250 F Sport. I just ordered the tune today so i'll update you if anything comes up.

I got a 2022 Lexus is350 f sport AWD I just ordered a tune which came out not to long ago for the new IS350 model they said 60 hp gain so I’ll be at 371 hp.

60 HP from a tune on the is is a lie. You're gonna need headers and a full cat for even close to that number. Gl

I wonder if a smog place would notice the tune on a test? Seems easy enough to install.
It won't pass smog. But you can reflash the stock tune back onto it
right on for the heads up cos I had no clue it wouldn't pass smog with the tune. good thing RR Racing gave instructions on how to reflash to stock
Hey just a heads hp, i personnaly took my 2008 is250 to rr racing in exton pa, they tuned my car for me, i oayed them to, the tune is good fr, but dont take your car to them, get the tuner u do yourself, i was going to do a lot with my lexys with them, equal length headers, strut towers, control arm bushings, one employeee was very helpful, actually showed me n my freind around their sho, showed us the 911 gt3rs they supercharged, and gave us t shirts, i told them i may need rims he said come back whenever, i tried to call about the rims, and basically told me bc theu only do high end stuff, this guy as well claimed to be the owner, said he didnt want to deal with it, so i asked if i can talk to someone else, he said no, i asked if they could take my tune iff he said no and hung up on me, so im stuck with a car i cant sell basically, bc i was trying to replace my cracked rims and i wasnt going to spend enough. If u have problems their customer service is terrible, my lexus died randomly, and i thoght before i do anything ill call rr just in case its something theyre familiar with, wound up being the batter but the owner agin on the phone was getting mad with me, i jad to tell him like look im not accusing u of anything, im just asking u first, didnt actually think the tune was a problem, just in alcase they heard of ppl having the same problem, wich they said no, and it was just a bad battery, but the guy was rly getting agitated over the phone talking iver me and everything
Dont deal with these guys unless ur buying a supercharger kit, or ur just going to tune ur car yourself, they will leave u in bad position if they can.
My guy did you not put it in sport mode and trac off ? Shift at 7200 rpm. Also turn the air box to f sport

When you send it for Tune, is it ok to drive your car it in a meanwhile?
Yup totally ok! You won't be able to tune your car till they send you file the back

Did you have to do the "reprogramming recall"? That's the only thing keeping me from buying this, as I don't think I can have that recall performed
I didn't have to for mine. Was curious about this originally as well but the tool or RR Racing didn't say I had to do the recall

Which would you say is a better tune the Vertex chip or RR racing? Vertex says it increases Hp by 35+
Haven't done much research on the Vertex chip, but I went with the RR tune due to the reliability since it's my daily

I think it improved it a good deal. I have a 250 and it didn't gain much hp but it made it more fun lol. It shifts higher at WOT and the throttle feels better. I've had it on for almost 2 years and I think this is how it should've felt out the factory. No problems so far

The 17 and up 3.5s require basically an ECM swap in order to be tuned. Get in touch with RR Racing and they’ll have all the details for you…

I would assume it would increase wear and tear in the engine because you would push your car more with the tune, however constant and strict oil changes will do the job 🤔👍🏻

Is350 is about 1.5 secs faster than 250 and with 350 you get the back of your head hitting the headrest for those things the price difference was 7-8k when new...so much crap for getting the 250 faster...I own 2011 250 fsport s/blue and is an amazing car for the 11yrs I've owned it and have never visit a dealer for any service...just enjoy the car for what it is...drive it ect...

You'll need to remove the tune before getting it smogged. You can do so by keeping the map tool they send you
I already smogged it. Worked fine without removing the tune.
ECU tuning an IS250 is like putting aero fins on a tortoise. It's not going to make any difference. Save your money, sell your car and just get an IS350. Instant +100hp.

Not understanding WHY you have to send data back to them.. they do whatever and send tune code back to you to upload.
Why not have those codes preloaded in the box.. ready to download? It’s not like each individual IS250 has different engines…

Buy a GS300 motor and swap it in your 250. Reliable and more power and the same price as ur tune.

I've asked the same thing, I'm thinking yes it will effect gas mileage not as much really depends how you drive, if you drive ruff or drive high RPM you will burn a lot more fuel.
Does it get rid of the on load smell?
I believe it's the catalytic converter causing the smell, been wanting to get that fixed on mine, you can gut the primary cat from what I've read online and it gets rid of the smell

350 is night and day to the 250
My 350 is tuned and the difference is barely noticable. There is some urgency when you put the foot down but not worth the money spent on it. My friend in an ISF also got the same tune and was able to put 1 car length gap on a stock ISF in 1/4 mile race. I've yet to race a stock 350.

I still think the RR racing tunes are pretty stupid. It seems like a ‘one size fits all’ tune rather than a proper dyno tune where all your variables are custom fit exactly to your cars needs and limits.
I’d also imagine that the ‘speed’ increases are largely placebo
You just don’t know.. you have to send your cars ecu back to RR racing before they make the tune…

Faster cars are much more expensive and not as reliable.

In sport mod that was the wrong camera settings ever , it's not suppose to be watching the interirro of your car rather the performance of your car on the free way 👎that was not the best view in my humble opinion

250 is 💩. 350 with tune 👍
It's definitely not fast. It's a little quicker but you're gonna need a big turbo setup, or a supercharger to even be considered kinda fast on the low end
13.5 seconds stock 1/4 miles can smoke a lot of cars on stop light some IS350 can run low 13
